Can anyone confirm the paper story pena back to mexico to be reunited with pedro

03 Jan 2018 21:06:32
I always want our players and signings to do well but if we can get money back and Pedro was the one who signed him so we need to get a full return of our payment and invest it in young players capable of playing European football

03 Jan 2018 21:31:04
Det rid of pena asap.

03 Jan 2018 21:45:17
Dint think we are that lucky to get rid of pena that quick

03 Jan 2018 21:45:55
Well said gary75.

03 Jan 2018 21:51:34
I just hope it’s not a loan deal likes being touted. If Pedro rates him that much then pay for him

03 Jan 2018 22:20:18
Looks like a loan - should hold firm and try to get some money back

03 Jan 2018 22:53:03
gary75 there’s no way we’re getting our money back, unfortunately we backed Pedro about players he knew from before and now we pay the consequences. If we can get any money from anyone for Pena or Herrera I would take it, but looks very unlikely.

04 Jan 2018 00:50:22
It is a loan until the end of the season, atleast it will free up some wages as we have a couple of loan deals coming in also

04 Jan 2018 17:15:19
Yeh i saw that but its on loan! Naaah that's not good get him sold we need the funds.

04 Jan 2018 17:17:17
Havent heard anything regarding that move. Though Pena is a decent player, i think he is not suited for scottish football. I appreciate his goal ratio for Rangers but if the deal is good for us then yes i'd let him go.

04 Jan 2018 17:18:00
According to Andy Devlin twitter he's going to Mexico on loan

03 Jan 2018 20:14:12
Is pena heading back to mexico

03 Jan 2018 21:31:33
Hope so, controller.

03 Jan 2018 23:35:03
I would take 2m for the pair of them (Pena and Herrera) and cut our losses These guys will never adapt to our game

04 Jan 2018 07:33:22
Be lucky to get two bob

04 Jan 2018 17:25:09
Hearing its a loan deal for pena that Pedro sniffing about for unfortunately! Pedro Please take Herrera and Pedro On full contract, since you said you rated them so well, Both for 2 million feck it 1.5million if you take them today!

03 Jan 2018 20:23:22
Pena to move to cruz azul - hopefully we get what we paid for him or a bit more. he's the no1 target for pedro apparantly.

03 Jan 2018 20:33:19
ment to just be out on loan to them with option for them to buy

03 Jan 2018 20:34:56
He's done feck all and it's clear he's not wanted by the club. Why would you even think that we would get back more than we spent?!?

04 Jan 2018 00:58:14
I'll be glad to see the back of them Candieas was a good signing though still upset about the sale of Waghorn

04 Jan 2018 17:20:58
Should make them pay, not a loan deal. Pena desperate to make the Mexico squad for World Cup. We will never be in such a strong position to recover our investment or even take a small loss.

03 Jan 2018 16:58:12
Sean Goss is a done deal . loan till end of the season

03 Jan 2018 18:06:12
see we are aiming high again loan deals second rate norwich city outcasts, the piss has definitely been take out of us, iwonder who will be next on the horizon

03 Jan 2018 18:14:44
jordan jones may happen too

03 Jan 2018 19:54:18
Linked with Kilmarnock hearts and Dundee players and players who can't get a game at championship clubs my god it's bad actually makes the Jamie Murphy look an outstanding signing when really that should be the minimum standard we go for.

03 Jan 2018 21:32:49
Naismith, murphy and martin would do nicely lads.

03 Jan 2018 21:51:24
Have you 'better' players in mind to sign deano? Maybe make a list, we could give it to supercoop, he could pass it on to his source?

03 Jan 2018 22:55:04
Naismith Murphy Marin mcaurther or even Adam you put 3 or 4 of that lot in a team with are better players like fod tav John Alves dorrens candidas moralos that already looks like a solid team. We need experience players who have played at a high level.

03 Jan 2018 23:32:37
Can we get/ afford them though?

04 Jan 2018 13:18:30
Not convinced with Naismith, he's very injury prone. Murphy, McArthur would be great. The boy from qpr is low risk, probably worth a punt.

04 Jan 2018 17:11:21
Trueblue who is the second rate Norwich outcast and how do you know Sean gross won’t be any good the good thing about it is it’s a loan would you rather we sign guys permanently and they don’t work out

03 Jan 2018 12:51:25
we are ment to be close to deal for sean goss ex man unitied players now playing for qpr
plays in midfield and defence 22 year old

03 Jan 2018 12:56:13
Just seen that in the paper but never heard of him, anybody know anything about him rather than just wikipedia

03 Jan 2018 13:12:53
seems to play more as a defensive mid and seems to pass the ball well
Hopefully the lad does well
but i have to wonder if murty wants him or is another of mark allen signings

03 Jan 2018 13:46:02
These are the names coming through now that were presented to mciness from Allen. Mciness was presented with 12 names and rejected all of them, the next day he knocked us back.

03 Jan 2018 14:04:21
Why so many unknown gambles? There are very good and very capable young players in Scotland who show great potential but we steer clear of them and take punts on guys no one has heard of, and we couldn’t possibly scout as they aren’t playing at any sort of level with their existing club. I am in no way judging the boy from QPR’s ability as have never seen him, but frustrated that we seem to never get off this roundabout of risk.

I’m disillusioned by the Director of Football strategy so far

03 Jan 2018 14:11:05
The director of football is trying to get a caliber of player in that will help us to 2nd place without spending to much money, simple. Mciness wanted players to win the league so it's costs more that's why he's not in the hot seat. Maybe the board have admitted defeat for the season and maybe go again next season but that's just a guess

03 Jan 2018 14:21:33
I’m willing to give the guy a go, Declan John was a similar signing and has done well so far (lots more to come hopefully) if we can get a decent option to buy on him and he does well then we have a versatile young player in the squad, makes sense to be picking up bargains where possible with little risk, I suppose it all depends on the terms of the loan!

03 Jan 2018 15:13:54
He's signed.

03 Jan 2018 15:28:04
Confirmed on the Gers website.

03 Jan 2018 15:29:08
So far I am completely underwhelmed with the players we are being linked with! What the hell has mark Allen brought to the table!

03 Jan 2018 15:41:41
hopefully he has more energy on the park than in his interview 😂

03 Jan 2018 15:43:46
What a load of rubbish mkloyal

03 Jan 2018 15:44:18
Give the guy a chance, he can only work within the budget presented to him. The boy might actually be a decent player, I remember similar comments about Hyndman last year as well. The argument that there is very capable young players in Scotland is nonsense. We have NO permanent manager either so long term deals or signings are unlikely

03 Jan 2018 16:20:29
Mkloyal is Aberdeen going to spend the money McInnes stayed at Aberdeen because it was the safer option. Goss is a sensible signing till the end of the season as cover and who knows he might turn out to be another Declan but let’s give him a go

03 Jan 2018 16:27:15
unless its pre contracts every scottish team we negotiate with has shown they have no desire to do business with us i find this a strange signing

does it mean cardoso and alves will be shown the door

why bring halliday back then sign goss also what does it do for the development of jamie barjonas who i feel is showing plenty of promise

03 Jan 2018 16:31:53
It's a loan deal fs, calm doon.

03 Jan 2018 16:38:06
To be fair most signings most folk will not know, we can't afford names at the moment. How can anyone judge Mark Allen on a player that's not kicked a ball for us yet.

It could be 6 months to look at him, before offering longer deal, it could be to add a little depth to the squad or that he is a good young player for future or to go straight in to the first team.

03 Jan 2018 16:50:57
Goss is a sensible signing, rather than an exciting one imo. Alves looks like he could be out for a while, as does Dorrans, so playing Goss in front of the back 4 allows McCrorie to slot back in at Centre Half beside Wilson with Bates as cover.

03 Jan 2018 16:59:08
A Young Versatile player who wasn’t far away from Man United squad who is described as technically gifted with a terrific range of passing, we get chance to see if he’s good enough to improve our squad before committing to buy him yet people think it’s a poor signing.
As for questioning our DOF when the windows just opened when we aren’t aware of our budget, targets, strategy, who identify which of these players or ability of anyone who is signed yet.
Personally I’d love Murphy and/ or Naismith but until the window closes I will reserve judgement on how our DOF has performed

03 Jan 2018 17:23:51
If mciness was going to come to us he wanted funds to challenge celtic or what's the point really? Come here and have massive amounts of pressure to finish 2nd! He can can try the with Aberdeen and have nowhere near the same pressure. He would have been on 100 grand more so what is the point really. It's the same reason no other manager wants the job at this stage. No decent manger in there right mind would touch rangers unless funds were available to challenge celtic. The board know that aswell, look at the facts people Halliday is coming back, Murty is manager and we have taken a loanee who can't get a game for qpr.

03 Jan 2018 18:06:29
BigJ70 sense at last big man

03 Jan 2018 18:17:22
mkloyal make up your mind you said mcinnes vknocked us back now you are saying if he wanted to come, how do you know mcinnes was offered a hundred grand a year more it would have been a lot more than that the sheep won't be big payers, i think you are just spouting drivel, people or the papers are telling you what to post, don't think you have a mind of you own

03 Jan 2018 18:47:45
Haha true blue. Sometimes the truth is out there and sometimes it's quite obvious. The information is ture and that's down to you what you believe but everyone knows mciness knocked us back because of the director of football situation and the players that were put to him. He was also offered 800 grand he's on 700 at Aberdeen and Aberdeens chairman bought him a half a million pound house. Pedro was only on 900 grand and our board thought he was the next big thing. You need to weigh things up as a manager and our board are a bit of a joke. We should be impossible for most managers to knock back but we are not and there are reasons for that.

03 Jan 2018 18:54:59
But if you know something I don't true blue then please tell me? You must know something I don't if you can accuse me of talking rubbish.

03 Jan 2018 19:56:11
McInness is on nowhere near £700k.
Fact.

03 Jan 2018 20:07:57
No way McInnes is on 700k at Aberdeen. Only report I can find on his salary says 300k

03 Jan 2018 20:36:40
He's on 700 lads sorry to burst that bubble.

03 Jan 2018 20:43:54
Sutaurt Milne is a very rich man and mciness is on 700 grand! If anyone thinks a manager would turn down 800 grand to sit on 300 your crazy. he's spent nothing on players and has been rewarded by his chairman. its funny how people say don't believe the papers but then in this instance turn to the papers for information. Get a grip lads

03 Jan 2018 21:14:58
Stop digging MK.
Your posts are progressively getting more and more cringe worthy.

03 Jan 2018 21:28:17
Hahahaha, this site cracks me up! You state facts and it's just seen as lies and bull. Hahaha

03 Jan 2018 21:36:40
Goss 1st signing. Terrible considering we got young boys there who would do the same job ( barjonas) loan seems to be way forward from our board. murphy should be a must but think the board are wait to get rid before we buy.

03 Jan 2018 21:54:46
I haven't heard any of your 'facts' even mentioned by the respected sports press so really it's all just your opinion, saying fact doesn't make it true. Mkloyal are you secretly Donald Trump?

03 Jan 2018 21:59:11
Mkloyal your stating YOUR opinion, just like everyone else. McInnes's arse went. He's not on 700k, behave. That's not a fact, just my opinion

03 Jan 2018 22:29:09
Huey generally certain things don't get disclosed to the newspapers but if you know then you know, that's life. X

03 Jan 2018 22:44:12
It's where we are guys. It's going to be slow and steady unless someone throws a wad of cash at us.

But, I can't believe just how negative we are about new players we've never either heard of or seen play, just because of that.

Also, Mark Allan is getting a hammering based on what? Doing the job the board has told him too.

We've got the basis of a decent team. Bit of tinkering now and summer is all we can do.

I've said this before, we operate in a market where the odds of success aren't guaranteed, but if we can get 50:50 we'll not be far away.

04 Jan 2018 17:03:40
Agreed with everything you said Glasgow ranger until you mentioned Naismith.

04 Jan 2018 17:12:27
Mkloyal I think your talking rubbish as you don’t know this to be true but your coming on here stating that’s why DM knocked the job back

04 Jan 2018 17:26:47
no interest in mcinness

03 Jan 2018 08:36:56
MOH has been contacted by Rangers and told that he will given a fresh start at Rangers under Graeme Murty.

03 Jan 2018 08:58:16
Good to hear tbh

03 Jan 2018 10:47:58
MOH had plenty of opportunities and demonstrated a lack of skill and character necessary to make it at our club. Hope we bring the boy Dodoo back and provide him with a fresh start. He is an impact player and woukd thrive in our more direct approach.

03 Jan 2018 10:50:04
I agree, clearly has the ability and hopefully Murty can get the best out of him like he has with Windass.

03 Jan 2018 11:31:50
Bankie, he rarely started and was consistently not used in the right way. Goes to St Johnstone and under a manager who knows how to use him he wins player of the month and is averaging a goal every 2 games.

03 Jan 2018 11:38:21
Bankie, that's my main issue with MOH, the bread man signed him and he rarely trusted him with game time. His attitude/ body language did not suggest he was interested, he signed for the wrong team in Glasgow if you ask me.

The only thing that makes me think if he screws the nut he can do a job is his form for St Johnstone this season, he's scored 5 goals in a team that's not performing well and looking at his stats, he's only had 12 shots on goal all season, but 11 of them have been on target (92% accuracy) and 5 of them have resulted in goals.

03 Jan 2018 12:43:48
People forget when you go to a team like st Johnstone your opponents don't sit in and try to defend for large periods of the game. O'Halloran has had more space to play this season than he did with rangers last season. He gave the ball away more often than not and proved at ibrox the weight of the jersey is just to much. We need players coming into the club that can cope with big occasions! If we can't do that then prepare our youth players for the big occasion so it's second nature to them.

03 Jan 2018 17:03:00
Final ball was shocking at times last season, that said recall him for a few weeks see how he performs on tour and at training it can’t do any harm, I’m sure if we then want to reloan him out we will have St Johnstone interested at least.

03 Jan 2018 08:16:40
Russell Martin and Jamie Murphy are both keen to come to rangers and both deals are likely to go through.

03 Jan 2018 20:34:57
Would be great 2 signings, bring it on

04 Jan 2018 17:30:29
martin is brutal

03 Jan 2018 00:58:15
Looks like Jaime Murphy coming to Ibrox could mean Windass going down south, how much do bears think we should accept for josh?

03 Jan 2018 02:42:46
A lot of folk seem to be pairing Murphy’s entrance with Windass’s exit. I don’t see it that way tbh.

Murphy will play wide and Windass will move into the position Kranjcar was meant to be playing on Saturday.

Unless obviously PNE want to put a real bid on the table, 2m or the club won’t sell, they can afford it so they should pay up if they want the player.

But to answer your question mate, most will laugh, however I genuinely believe 2m is what we should expect for him in today’s market. He’s one of the first names on the team sheet this season, let’s not make he same mistake as McKay again.

03 Jan 2018 03:34:48
2 million. look at garner and waghorn ripping it up down south this season. pains me that our board/ dof take so long to act upon projected targets. young boy at st mirren going to THEM and papers are saying the you lad from Dundee is also a target. we will rue not entering the race for these kids. The tic talk all of there players up while we let ours go for a pittance, stay strong hold players for what they are worth. I've been reading post that we should try and sign Barry McKay now that Warburton has been sacked. It was really disappointing that he run down south at the first time of asking- not for me I want players who want to fight for their place at the club.

03 Jan 2018 10:39:07
They are hardly 'ripping it up' down there? 10 goals for Waghorn and 8 for Garner. Morelos has scored 10 and should have had double that. Weouldn't want either of them back, Waghorn certainly had his chance. No to Mackay as well. If he wanted to play for Rangers he would have stayed and fought. He followed the Bread Man and backed the wrong horse. If we can get Murphy and Naismith plus the return of O'Halloran that would be good business. We've Dorrans, Wallace and Miller to come back too.

03 Jan 2018 10:42:17
One doesn't necessarily lead to the other, in fact I'm sure it won't. There's room for both in that squad, easily.

03 Jan 2018 10:43:08
Ripping it up down south? I don't think so.

03 Jan 2018 10:44:58
I think if Murphy does come in, then Windass should be given a chance playing in behind the striker. Think he should be given a chance till end of the season playing there.

03 Jan 2018 10:53:22
DOIGER, I would agree with your comments on Garner, he was a liability, but Waghprn I would have kept, he has 10 goals like you say but he's also got 7 assists.

I'd rather have had Waghorn sitting behind Morelos in the tip of the diamond than Kranjcar on Saturday put it that way.

03 Jan 2018 12:49:49
Would be v disappointed to see windass go. Since pedro was sacked he's been a key player for us

03 Jan 2018 17:10:25
Windass is improving as he continues to be a regular this season. His hesitancy and decision making leave a lot to be desired but he’s young and still learning his trade. What he does possess is flashes of good technical ability and some tidy link up and dribbling skills.
His finishing has improved and his fitness levels as well.
I value him at £1.5m+ and can only see his value increase so keep him or at the very least demand decent money and insert sell on clause.

04 Jan 2018 17:02:53
I agree would like to see both Murphy and windass in the squad as we need some depth to the team and though josh’s form has been decent still think murts can get more out of him, but if he does go then yes 2m minimum is a must if we have learned from previous sales to england

03 Jan 2018 00:38:54
Heard Corry Evan's is a target.

03 Jan 2018 20:36:29
Better way lee evan's.

04 Jan 2018 11:44:26
Bathgate Better way his brother
