Whittaker signs for Norwich

Wish fans would cut the crap on loyalty. If Whittaker was loyal he would never have left Hibs in the first place. He was loyal to Rangers when he was at Rangers. Now he will be loyal to Norwich. Players aren't branded like slaves, you know!!

I wonder if the Celtic fans cheer him when he plays against them later on in July??

Let me get this straight. You are all up in arms because they are not "Rangers men through and through," but you don't mind them going if you can sell them for a few quid? And they are not loyal?

Who said the world does? Is it us the fans fault? Who questions where Chelsea an man citys cash coming from? N if it's legit? I agree we should be punished. But how can lafferty call himself a rangers fan? Have 5 stars on his neck.

B bear

I am glad that he is away, never kicked a ball after getting his new contract. Although I am gutted that we will not be getting any money for him.

Unbelievable. Not a fan of 'rangers' but cannot believe you lot. These guys took a pay cut to try ans save your team and you slag them off for leaving when the latest fly-by-night comes in to buy the place. These guys need football, security and wages. Just hope your place of work doesn't hit the skids and you have to say to yourself "should I look elsewhere" cos heaven forbid your colleagues call you a rat leaving the sinking ship. Short flipping memories as 6 months ago these guys were idols to you. Behave and grow up you sour lot. The world doesn't owe you jack s**t......cfc1888

Do you blame any player from walking away from all this mayhem?
I wish them well but with one small concern being the contracts paid to all players proved it was no longer a working mans game but based on corporate greed.
lets get back to the basics and play for the love of the game and our club.

The players were only allowed to go on reduced fees if you were still OldCo. Still you washed away £130million of debt by losing approx £20million of transfer fees. CG and Ally have a bloody cheek criticising the players.

Needs to play at the highest level ? .
Can't stay with Rangers, no European football ? .
I see he has achieved all he said !!
Wonder how much MONEY was involved for him and his agent ? .
Hard decision ?, Heartbreaking ?, try LOYALTY....

Norwich will pay him a good wage and sort his tax and NI out too, guy doesn't have a club, free agent, entitled to go to club that pays, transferring to newco didn't guarantee a hefty transfer fee, if div 3 who would pay big dosh for 3 rd tier player, on the bright side big kirks staying

Ska bhoy

Disgracefull slagging off whitty good luck son still a ranger in my eyes get a grip some bears

I would like to find out how much norwich are paying him. ?
BALLYBOY

How can you moan about not getting transfer fees for your ex players when at the same time you have not yet paid clubs for the players that you have previously signed?

I thought they all said that they wanted to play at a higher level and in Europe, I can't remember the last time Norwich was in Europe and at least Sion has played in Europe recently and has had more run ins with football authorities than us

Didn't agree in the first place given him a big wage. He will disappear down south, then be loaned out to a championship team. Watch this space.

Not welcomed back to ibrox...says who? He was a key part of 3 in a row and the road to Manchester. No one is bigger than the club itself, players come and go, but anyone who has pulled on the shirt is a legend to me and i would welcome them back on the pitch or in the stand any day

There was no clause in their contracts to walk away . There was a clause inserted after they took the wage cut that would let them leave if a greatly reduced offer was received . They saw the secco situation as a chance to make themselves more money and in doing so , deny the club a transfer fee .... Albeit a reduced one . They could still have left and. Roughy in some much needed cash but chose to walk away . Turncoats in my opinion . I'm particularly disgusted with my fellow Ulstermen for their treachery.

Is it not conceivable if these players on the big money stayed and the club end up in the 3rd division then there could be further financial meltdown? So maybe they're doing the club a favour.

Whittaker was ok but not at 26k a week.Good riddance to Lafferty-he was never worth the fee we paid. Sorry to see McCabe and Aluko go,but lets brace ourselves-this bebacle is still not over.

Go whittaker go you will never be welcomed back to ibrox. if you stayed you would still be on money most of us can only dream about. so to you and the other deserters i say never call yourselves rangers men again.

OP here. Have to admit I like Whittaker. I don't get this idea about loyalty that some are drifting. Whittaker wasn't loyal to Hibs when Rangers signed him so why do you think anything is different now? It's great that an EPL club wants him - can't have been so bad. But will he be good enough to snuff out the likes of Rooney, Balotelli and Van Persie? Probably not.

To all those who walked away the BADGE ON THE FRONT IN BIGGER THAN THE NAME ON THE BACK ....W.A.T.P..

mr myle

So Mc Shagger, Davis, Lafferty ect were never Rangers MEN give it a break, they took a huge wage cut to try and save your Club, it did not happen so they have excercised the clause in thier contracts to walk away. If you had paid all of the money that your club owed to everybody they would still be at Rangers, but Rangers no more, SEVCO no History may have no history. Admin 2 in the offing.

Do you really think McCulloch would be staying if he was 10 or even 5 years younger ? No chance he would have walked like the rest. As for Wallace he'll be off if any decent offer comes in.

Its not the fact they are walking away, its the manner in which they are doing so!

They could have easily came to some sort of agreement with Green so that Rangers couldve got some money

Good riddance to him and any other player who takes the opportunity to jump ship. They can all give reasons for leaving the club but the bottom line is they are opportunists who have all proved one thing - their hearts were never in the Rangers our Rangers. Every Rangers fan knows this. Well done to Lee Mc Lee W neil A and the real Rangers lads who are staying and fighting through these difficult times. Unlike the rest you will always be loved by the real fans. Yorkielad

Listen idiots players want to play at as high a level as possible so good luck to him and remember he sacrifised wages last season more money a week than most of us make in months so ok he could afford it but he actually done it so get off there backs . anyway rangers cant afford high wages in div 3

Now slagging off the players who took massive cut in wages to help save club !
Now their crap players cos the time has come to move as the writings on the wall,
If you took a wage cut then your future looked very uncertain would you just sit about an wait to see what happens ?
Or if your offered a new job with far superior conditions with far more security WHAT WOULD YOU DO ??
Get real time to look after number one!

This is your hobby but it is their livelihood

Briggies

Thank god s**ttager is away, cost us big time in europe (along with allys tactics) and i for one would have quite happily driven him down to norwich

Funny how Rangers fans find them all crap players and crap people, when they were recently upheld as great players and guys.
The truth is that it's Rangers Football club that's been a really really bad club to its players.

Funny how fast they are all finding clubs they must have known weeks ago they were off could they not been up front with us the fans

Was to blame for a lot of goals we lost in the Champions League. Will I miss him? I think not.

Wallace is deluded believing its the same Rangers, Rangers are being liquiated, Rangers are dead.
the only reason he has signed on with Sevco is that if his contract terminates, because Rangers owe Hearts money, then his contract would revert back to Hearts, otherwise he would have been off like the rest {Ed039's Note - Blah, blah, blah. Change the bloody record, are these just copy and paste jobs??)

Lets see how many games he plays remember steven smith ?

Decent signing for Norwich. Will be interesting to see where he fits in as fellow Scot Russell Martin is also down there and established as right back. If Alan Hutton can find his form with Lambert at Villa then Scotland have some good options there

Glad to see he signed for a top flight club and didn't just go for money.

Overrated and overpaid, he is never prem league quality, championship player at best

The walking away continues sion sign lafferty norwich sign whittaker and in the next few hours davis to southampton and naismith to everton absolute shambles 10 million quid worth of talent walking away for nothing.

Useless , lazy , never kicked on after our euro run to Manchester ...

Good riddance to him, rangers need players with rangers at heart like big jig, this n the rest that have rejected the transfer just shows they were only interested in money n glory.
