John Daly 100% will sign a pre contract in the next couple of day's.

Daly is a good player without a doubt- I just think that we would be wasting more high wages by getting the youngers guys like this in the team. i'm all for us signing ex older players for less to be honest. Its good bleeding younger players that we have but they have no bottle and no experience.

Boyd, novo and miller? yes past their best but they would turn in a shift and they no what it is all about- they would run amock in the 2nd division. Get them in and let's build a cheap team with good pros that we know can do a job and handle the pressure at any level!

Firstly, SFL rules allow us to have no more than 22 players over 21 on the 1st January 2013.
Secondly Goian and Bocanegra may return. That's 3 over 21s.
Thirdly, who's paying all these wages. We're losing over £1m pm. as it is.
Does no one ever pay attention to what's going on at the club?.
If we don, t stem our losses we won't have a club to support.
That's as a lot on here are fond to say, is FACT!

Already has, just waiting for the announcement.

I expect the 1 million a month fantasy from Celtic fans not Rangers fans, the club lost 7 million in the first 7 months end of story. You cannot just assume the same income and expenditure will exist every month afterward. The share prospectus listed an operating loss of 3.5 million in Dec 2012, you cannot just invent projections especially if there is documented evidence of 1 million per month operating losses.
Rangers will probably lose a bit more than was thought but to suggest 12 million is just nonsense.

Daly would be a much better signing than Boyd or Miller for that matter and strategically it would objectively open the door to the Club signing more ROI players and they generally produce more quality professionals than Scotland.

As for Novo, for a season he would be ideal since his presence would be a motivator to the younger players and to the support.

"You cannot assume the same income/expenditure"
Agreed. you can however assume that wages, match costs etc don't change but whereas the first 7mnths accounts showed income of £9.6m, that included ST income of £6.3m net of VAT. Although costs will stay roughly the same, circa £2.4m p. m. , income will be drastically reduced, with only walk up income on matchdays as our biggest earnings. Say 10 home games with 10k (optimistic) at an average of £10 net of VAT. That's only £1m with a wee bit for hospitality etc. we'll still have costs of around £10-13m for the last 5 months. Add that loss of potentially £10m to the £7m lost in the 1st 7 months then £12m loss may be optimistic.

I wish we would start to forget about all these too old high earners coming in, we should be concentrating on young talent through our own Academy and Scouting systems. Bring the young talent in who know how to pay in lower divisions, nurture, develop and sell later for good profits that will make our club bigger and stronger in the future.

Have we not learned anything this season with the so-called experienced players brought in on high wages.

Wullie

Daly is not coming for the standard of football and he's certainly not coming for the love of the club. so it can ONLY be the money. Surely we can get cheaper options, why are we spending so much money on players from the SPL when they are not needed to win the SFL2? I just don't get the logic.
