My cousins the Aberdeen team doctor Dr G Richie. I've not heard a cheep from him so I really doubt that DM contact has been made. Last time I spoke to him we still had Pedro and my cousin was out for dinner with DM and his wife.

I mentioned many moons ago in previous posts that my because does this job if anyone Doubts. Way before Pedro was even boss.

Why would the club doctor be notified on personnel changes? A huge sum of money is at stake for Stewart Milne. Don't be duped by tabloid foolery. 800K is a great piece of business for Aberdeen and their board. The club's biggest summer transfer kitty in 5 years was £500k. This deal could mean a monumental cash windfall for any new manager. Why would a medical practitioner be consulted on potential cash transactions?

02 Dec 2017 22:18:40
So because you’ve not heard from him, the doctor, you doubt contact has been made? Your post don’t make sense, what has them having dinner when Pedro was in charge got to do with anything?

02 Dec 2017 23:15:53
No one said contact had been made. The claim is it's being done next week!

03 Dec 2017 08:24:02
See if he can prescribe you something for bull

03 Dec 2017 08:38:48
The deal has been in motion for weeks despite all the silence. The stumbling block has been the cash payment settlement and back room staff compensation. After today's game there will be official movement. I have a hunch Strachan already taking the Dons job. Yes a hunch and yes a Rumours site.

03 Dec 2017 20:00:34
strachan better manager than dm imo

03 Dec 2017 22:17:06
If we have to take McInnes, then I would prefer not to have his back room staff at Rangers - Antony Docherty, Gordon Marshall, Paul Sheerin and Barry Robson - Too much of a Celtic connection for me.

04 Dec 2017 07:13:22
Your right barry robson won't be but barry ferguson will be.

04 Dec 2017 10:37:00
See Neil McCann jumped in to second fav all this time to get a new manager and I hope am wrong but I can't see this being the right man mcinnes I think it's to early for him he will need to prove him self with a different club and McCann cv doesn't merit the rangers job but no matter who it is I will stick and support then like a did with le guen or Pedro

02 Dec 2017 12:19:13
McInnes 100% next manager

02 Dec 2017 15:02:30
I myself don't have the luxury of all these claimed sources and contacts that half the people on here do, however, a mcinness appointment to me would be surprising.
The guy has came out and put cold water on it himself, him and Stewart Milne have been very vocal. I just can't see them leaving themselves open to that sort of stuff if they weren't sure.
I'm not sure who'll be the next gaffer, i'd be happy with murty as he holds passion and he's getting better.

02 Dec 2017 18:16:29
Happy with Murty don’t be stupid I've not got a bad word to say about him but he has no experience at this level and there is so much more to just managing the team he has been hung out to dry a bit here I don’t know who but he needs to have experience

02 Dec 2017 18:49:08
correct me if i'm wrong sources mate but i don't think DMc has ever came out and said he wasnt interested? the furthest he has went is to say he won't be discussing speculation and its all paper talk. Position he was in is if he says publicly he wants the move then if it doesn't come off he is left looking a right lemon, with a whole team of fans up there that will want to lynch him!

03 Dec 2017 01:41:11
U r right Snell. Some of the numptys on here think he should come out and say he wants the job. . really! I don't know if they have approached him because I haven't asked him but I do know that he won't knock it back. no chance!

03 Dec 2017 18:31:04
Listening to all your points. Stewart Milne publicly stated dm was going nowhere. Then, dm comes out and PUBLICLY reiterates what Milne says. What I'm saying is it's not a definite that it is dm we are going for.
For one both dm and milnes integretrity and indeed, credibility would be questioned after those public statements.
Is that not a fair point? Or am I missing something?

02 Dec 2017 08:20:42
Well if the rumours are true about McInnes then I fear for us over the next couple of seasons.

2nd will be achieved, however that will be all that is achieved under this man.

I liked him as a player at a time we were full of exceptional players, he was Scottish and decent. However he is NOT Rangers answer for the long term and for that reason I have to question this boards ability to run our club.

Anyway at the moment McInnes is not our man so I will stay cool until such times as he is or someone else is. I hope he gets nowhere near us.

02 Dec 2017 09:35:39
I think it will be one of the following;
Gio VB
Alex Neil
N Warnock
Gary Monk
McIntyre
along with McInnes
Hopefully one of the top 3

02 Dec 2017 09:36:39
Realistically we are looking at managers we can afford and according to King one who is in contract can we afford to pay compensation for an EPL manager I think it’s going to be an SPL manager probably McInnes maybe Wright or maybe even Robinson who would u realistically like Gdog

03 Dec 2017 01:46:41
Gdog10. . u fear for us under McInnes. I would fear for us under Sir Alex. get a grip. We are years and years behind Celtic!

03 Dec 2017 01:53:37
McIntyre? McIntyre, who?

As for your top 3, Alex Neil is a Celtic man and Neil Warnock is a total Diddy! Gio has already said he won't be leaving feyenoord so iam afraid your too 3 is ****ed. Rangers have been sifting through the unemployed candidates and that's why McInnes hasn't been approached yet. According to Mark Guidi, McInnes doesn't evdn want the Job.

03 Dec 2017 15:10:22
surely not jim mcintyre?

03 Dec 2017 19:53:04
@agbroxi

I would have liked to have seen Big Sam, Pulis simply to steady the ship for a couple Of seasons I know we no longer have the clout.

For me Murty is doing a job and at a very low cost, he has the ability to deliver a team that beats everyone else. McInnes is NOT better than Murty.

However if we are going to build a team for the future and set up our info structure then I would have gambled on De Boer. Yes a big risk, no bigger than McInnes. Who has achieved nothing and never will.

I would have also considered bringing back McCall, doing a great job down south with pennies!

04 Dec 2017 01:02:46
Hi guys, I'm new here, so be gentle.

I'd go for McLeish for now, and give Murty some first team coaching experience under him.
Lovenkrands could be moved to the U-20s for now. Those kids would perform for anyone right now.

As for long term, I dunno. I don't think it has to be a Rangers Man, but it must be someone who knows how to win.
