Rangers offerd £1million for Lee Wallace Accepted by Hearts , offerd £1, 25million for Goodwillie regected by Dundee Utd , they will up the offer to £1.5million and if regected look elsewhere , also Heard Tempelton From Hearts mayby a Target for The Champs also .

How was the wallace bid accepetd when its on all bbc and stv websites saying it was knocked back?

I can't help thinking where will McCoist play Wallace? Is he not a LB? Id never drop Papac. Or does he see Wallace as the answer to the LM problems we have?

I think McCoist may play Papac back in his proper central defensive role

Lee Wallace is like a left wing back, wee Gregg Wylde will be some player for us in the future but we definitely need extra naturally left sided players, I think he will play in Europe because we play 5 at the back with Papac moving in a bit closer to Weir and a Left Wing Back. Great signing if it happens

Wallace could be used in Europe when using the 5-4-1 formation, similar to the role Foster played last season. Also, he will be the replacement for Papac when he leaves (probably at the end if the season) so McCoist will be bringing him in so that he is ready for it when the time comes, but he could also possibly play on the left side of midfield as well, would be a good investment in my opinion. Although I have heard that the bid for him has been rejected by Hearts, therefore he is likely to hand in a transfer request to seal the move. Just wish Goodwillie would sign for us before anyone else gets him, I think he would be quality for the champs

If i was McCoist i wouldn't play Papac in center back hes too scared to header the ball when it comes to him we have him in the perfect place

Can you believe that Hearts are wanting £3mill for young Lee Wallace, yet D Utd value Goodwillie at £2 mill ? how does this equate to the abilities and the positions both players occupy ? Someone has got to go and take a reality pill, the market in Engurlund is wacky enough, this way beyond that. I personally find it difficult to accurately value any one player, as he , like anything else , is only worth what the buyer is willing to pay. In the case of Wallace however, £1 mill is over priced and I would not pay a penny more than £750 k , and for Goodwillie, I would deffo pay the £2 mill there, this boy has the potential to be a Rangers GREAT, more so and especially under the guidance of the LEGEND Ally McCoist, so C.W Step up and PLAY ???????????? Rangers have had a bid in excess of £1m rejected for David Goodwillie.

Now, Dundee United, quite rightly, valued him at £2m and made it clear they would not sell for less, this is as simple as it gets, come on Mr Whyte, offer the £2m for the lad, it's what Ally wants, it's what the fans want, it's good business for Rangers and for Dundee United, and most importantly, it's what Goodwillie himself wants.

This is surely the Chairman's chance to stamp his mark and prove any doubters wrong?

{Ed010's Note -I have said on numerous occasions (my opinion) that Dundee Utd aren't being unreasonable in asking for £2m.

I totally agree that Craig Whyte has the opportunity to throw down a marker and just pay the fee to secure his services. Somehow I don't think he is someone who really cares about what others think or perceive him to be, he will do it his way. We can only hope that the Rangers media advisor is giving him all the negative feedback, justified or not.

Its up to the player to tell utd to he wants to be a bear so sort it out. What it dont understand ed is why goodwillie signed a new contract with them in january when he new gers were likely to come calling in the summer?

2 million may be a reasonable price, I agree but, we should be trying to get him as cheap as possible. Holding on to a player who wants to be elsewhere is never good for a team. As far as I'm aware no other team has met the asking price either so there is no rush. On the other hand I'm beginning to agree with the frustrated fans out there, we need to start signing some players soon.

Heard from normally good source [told me about Diouf before it came out] that gers are trying to work deal involving switch of players plus cash for Russel and Goodwillie.

No chance of this as our squad is too small already Anyway your talkin mince cos Diouf only knew he was going to Rangers six hours before the deadline
