Am I the only one thinking that there may another lge reconstruction scenario on the the horizon hence all the signings just now, surley we have more than enough players to get us through to the jan window.

Agree0 Disagree3

I suppose what you have to consider is why wait until january, when all players prices sre inflated anyway, when you can sign some decent players (some easily spl quality even league 1/championship quality) on free agents now? i'd rather we signed a good few players now, and still promote our youth developmwnt, than wait til january and try to tempt some big stars to div1.

That said, I think our squad is fine as it is now with all the signings we have made. Get rid of 2 or 3 and we will still suffice til spfl.

My 2 cents. Stevemac watp

I hope not. He's crap.

I would take Bouazza in a heart beat, would tear up defences in the Scottish league

Always been pretty impressed by this lad when I've seen him, mainly with Charlton, Fulham and Watford. Very direct midfielder.

Although I don't thing any players are desperately needed to conquer SFL2 I feel if we can get boys in now on 2/3 year deals and have a look at them we can decide whether or not to keep them on for a shot at SPL footy. Just a personal opinion but you can get rid of players who don't cut it easier than signing players you think will {The Ed039's Note - No such thing as SPL anymore ......... just saying)

Agree0 Disagree0

The reason we are getting the boys in now is that we are getting them for free so in the long run we are saving money and have boys that can come in and paly at a high level so can only benifit the team as a hole as we now don't need to buy a full new team just ad a few boys to challenge at the top leves

Sign him up, win the quadruple, then we can all go to the Bouazza for a few.

Apologies Ed, to be honest I was away abroad when all the renaming was done and for all the difference it will make to the day to day running of Scottish Footy I haven't even bothered reading up on it. I'll call it the 'top division' until I become more clued up.

All in all my point stands that these boys are free just now and we are basically getting a 2 season minimum look at them to assess them and their ability to play at the top level. As long as wages aren't massive then I feel it's a good strategy. Bouazza is only 28 I think. Well worth a look for me. Mamidebebebe Sidibebebebebe on the other hand. I'd leave well alone.

Agree0 Disagree0

To the person who said Bouazza is crap, NO he is not! I am a Blackpool die hard, he is a tremendously skillful and pacey player. The problem is his ego, attitude and he can be lazy and ball greedy. If Ally sorts his attitude you have the best winger in Scottish football. But be wary as he has had 8 clubs in 10 years and there is a reason why. ModulesBFC87

Agree0 Disagree0

I don't think Ally is getting these boys in for the league campaign, I think he may be looking for a cup run and may think that players of the quality will be able to see off "Premiership" class teams, who really aren't of much better quality than we will be facing week in week out this season. Quite happy with squad though, maybe another Keeper, Defender and Striker but if we don't get them I think we will have the league sewn up earlier than last season.

COB

Agree0 Disagree0

MCCoist clearly wants a second striker to vary things in attack with our two trialists clearly making a difference as was seen agains Albion Rovers.

We need a striker that can put away the chances that will clearly be made for them. We saw this when Templeton came on and if we had a quality wide midfield player that would also add to our potency.

Stoke striker sidebe training with rangers with view to sugning

Believable44 Unbelievable26

No thanks he's to old and hasn't reali done it any where he's been so it's no we don't need him anyway

I think we need a defender and a striker and I think we will b fine

Agree0 Disagree1

Just what we need a 33 year old who has dislocating his knee, has done his cruciate knee ligament and twice snapped his Achilles tendon. Give me strength!

Agree2 Disagree0

Although it's not what most Rangers supporters would want, methinks it's a done deal, a cheap sub on a one year contract, he'll maybe surprise us?

Agree0 Disagree0

God I hope not - he has a rotten scoring record AND a rotten injury record.
AND he is 33.
Wee Nacho is 34 and HAS done ajob for us before so he is MY choice

Agree1 Disagree0

Another static striker no different than Daly and Jig and is not in the same class as these two. More mobile forward with bit of pace would suit us more in my opinion

Agree0 Disagree0

I think with Clark and Little we have enough mobility and with Big Jig and Daly enough power, so I think we have enough. That said if we get another that's older, get Novo, can play up top or on either flank. We know he knows the club, its demands and is settled in Glasgow, a lot of things that can go wrong with signing someone who has not played for us before

Agree0 Disagree0

Hameur Bouazza is also training with us

Agree0 Disagree0

Both of these guys are represented by moshni's agent! I sense he is only looking to offload another two flops onto us. Why is McCoist not seeing this? I'd rather we went for a younger striker or stuck with who we have.

Agree0 Disagree0

Mohsni is not a flop. He has a bad behaviour record yes, but he is a quality ulility player that loves a challenge. I know, I've been to plenty of southend games to see him playing.
Stevemac {The Ed039's Note - I watch plenty of the Football League and he is way too good for League Two)

Agree0 Disagree0

The guys got a worse record than the collaboration between Robbie Williams and Dizzy Rascal. {The Ed039's Note - And he is rank rotten as well, has never reached double figures for league goals in a season at any level)

Agree0 Disagree0

What is wrong with Nacho? he knows what is needed to be a Ranger, these other guys are just their for an easy few bob, come on Ally don't be daft

Agree1 Disagree0

I agree, if we're going to sign an aging striker, I'd rather go for Nacho. Sidibe looks like a great big dud.

Agree1 Disagree0

If we could sign a backup goalie I would be happy to go with what we have just now. these two diddys would be a waste of money. We have a good blend of youth and experience and don't see these two adding much other than taking up a place on the bench. As has been said already, if its experienced squad players that allys after go for wee nacho.
Govan bear

Pleading Rangers not to sign this player! Spends most of his time on the treatment table and quite frankly not worth 5k a week! On the otherhand, we may see a decent player in Hameur Bouazza :-)

Millwall manager Steve lomas is wanting to sign rangers midfielder Ian black, he's going to bid around £1.2million, this story is in one of this morning's London newspapers, it was my mate who told me this morning as he's down in London working

Believable20 Unbelievable68

We would have to accept that offer if it ever came but I can't see it

JG

Fingers crossed

Why would a team buy Ian black? Nobody in there right mind would buy him for 1.2 mil! The man is a clown gets booked every second game! So stop talking nonsense

Agree0 Disagree1

Hmmmmm. This sounds to good to be true. Does your mate own a guide dog by any chance?

Agree1 Disagree0

I suspect he won't be a regular this season and if an offer comes in we would take it, however £1.2m? No chance we will get that for him. If we get £500k we are doing well and it would get a higher earner off the books.

Agree0 Disagree0

Ian black is a decent player imo. fair enough he had a poor season last year but I feel he will b far better this yr with a yr under his belt however anyone who thinks we will get anywhere near 1.2m for him is clearly deluded 200k or there about is much more realistic. tambo88

Agree0 Disagree0

IF ONLY!! who would shell that out for that CLOWN? John F

Agree0 Disagree0

I think it's a large pie in the sky, but here's hoping, now if you had said Wallace?

Agree0 Disagree0

Nobody wanted him then he had an awful season, if lomas wanted him he'd get him for nothing just to get him off the books

Agree0 Disagree0

Black will prove his worth this season now that he has quality players around him.

Agree0 Disagree0

I can bet Black will play out of his skin this season, he knows he was diabolical last year, he has to prove his worth to the Gers.

Agree0 Disagree0

1. 2M I very much doubt that, for a 2nd Div player??
