Why bring in players that are willing to drop down to the Scottish Championship? Let's get this League won then bring in players who wouldn't be willing to drop a level just for the money. Seems sensible to me, if the short term deals guys show they can play a part keep them. Simple.

Ultimately i'd rather make a couple of loan deals if it helps win us the league rather than messing about in an inflated January window.

The Billy King signing let's us look at him as a rangers player he has lots of talent so I don't see the issue.

if we get the lad from Southampton we get a talented young lad and build a professional relationship with one of the best in the country at developing youngsters.

We will only pay what a what is affordable and b what represents a good deal I fail to see what the problem is with that.

moh is a player that would need replacing quickly in January so yes I do think his club have inflated his fee.

diag only had a year on his contract and heading towards the end of his career so yeah I think for us spending near a million that would never be seen again is bad business.

Good player and if we can get him then we should grab him quickly before someone else comes in for him. He might be a loanee but given that we don't have the money to buy a player of his quality we need to make the best of what is available.

He's a short strong tackling defensive midfielder with bags of ability, England u19 and 20s my son in law a soton season ticket holder rates him very highly and that it's only victor wanyamma keeping him out, he's very much in the Paul Scholes mode, though that might just be the ginger hair, I really hope we get this boy, from all accounts from my saints mates this kid is not far from the real deal, and if rangers can get a good working relationship with Southampton the best footballing academy without question in Britain we could pick up some gems.

So long as King makes money available I am quite sure that Warburton and McParland can come up with the players that we need for the SPL.

Bottom line is that King will need to commit real money and nt just ideal comment to sell newspapers.

Personally I think MOH would be a good buy for us and at the price I think he is good value. Can't say I have seen too much of King to know if he is better than what we have. I wonder if he did well like Holt what his contract situation is.

Holt wasn't playing every game for hearts last season and none of us had heard of Oduwa either.

Actually can't believe this. Really thought we would atleast get moh. I was against everyone that was saying negative comments about Dave King, but coming towards the end of the transfer window i have to say i have definitely converted. King has really let us down. Since the season started i'm not gona lie i was really looking forward to this window, was never expecting it to be this quiet. I feel sorry for warbs, i really hope he stays. When warbs said about doing all his business early, well that's gone right out the window. Aw man i'm so dissapointed.

Robbie Neilson on Hearts TV saying that it's purely a 6 month loan deal as Billy King couldn't get in to their first team they feel it's better for him to go out on loan and develop by getting first team action.

I literally cannot believe that we're the team developing him. Incredible. How low we've sunk.

Meanwhile Hearts going for John Soutar (hot prospect) who we also cannot afford as we would likely have to pay a development fee of around £200k!

King is a good piece of business I reckon. I also suspect some Hearts fans will be perplexed as to why he's been put out on loan.

I love the way our team has changed and I have been impressed by the QUIET board, management and signings we have made since Warburton took charge.
I am confused about some people's comments on this site. If we did sign certain people then I think the negative comments would simply come out with some other nonsense to groan over. I understand passion but constantly bemoaning D. K and even suggesting Warburton has no say etc. with regard to targets is really boring now.
It would be nice to read something as positive as the new style Rangers have adopted on the pitch.

Disagree, if the player is going to make it and I believe he is, then he will make it regardless, wouldn't look too much into Neilson's throwaway line, every team look at their own angle anyway, I think he is a good player and will freshen us up to the end of the season.

Have to laugh at most of the people on here last week slating the fact we were going for moh as he only had a few good games then when we get someone else they moan about us no getting him. Fs lads the team is better than what we had and I for once am really happy we got billy king as he's a good player and give it a few weeks and the same folk will be on saying he's a great player. Moan at the end of the season lads when we get automatic promotion as that's what we will get. I'm happy the way the board have went about the business.

Show me the financial documents you are viewing? D. K said he and others would invest in our club and with wages, recruitment (that has happened) and all day to day running costs they have. Our team is top and saying that missing out on two targets will cost promotion is a ridiculous statement!
Some people will enjoy the club's situation at the moment for the right reasons while some will search for the misery.
If you want to believe the negative stories of which there are many then that is your choice but don't project them on other people mate.
Bear in mind that regardless of his personal history or past comments D. K has opened the door to real fans who want to invest in our team.

That team will be doing well to get top 6. Remember we got destroyed by a mediocre st Johnstone team. He's a very good player, no question. I have issues taking a kid from Hearts on loan with no option to buy.

I've listened to our manager say time and time again that short term fixes are not for Rangers. We will be bringing in players to strengthen us for next season in the SPL.

A 6 month loan deal with NO OPTION TO BUY is the definition of a short term deal. He will not improve us in any way next season because he'll be back at Hearts, obviously.

I literally cannot believe how far our club have fallen. Are we now satisfied to develop players for other clubs in Scotland? Is this a joke?

I refuse to believe that this is Mark Warburtons 1st, 2nd or even 3rd choice for this window. It's beyond obvious that we have a budget of zero for players and it's about time the board were transparent about this and that way at least we'll know what to expect in future transfer windows.

Total embarrassment, Rangers getting a player from Hearts on Loan. What is our club coming to, getting a helping hand from the big team in Edinburgh, just like Hibs getting a helping hand from their pals in the East End of Glasgow.

Unless there are a couple of big name signings waiting in the wings to grab the headlines on Monday it looks like King is just full of hot air.

This guy might be a decent player but he is not what we need. We are crying out for a quality defensive midfield player and more depth in attack.

What has happened to the 'We will support Warburton financially to bring in the players he wants. Maybe the guys, like thee two Hong Kong based fans and Mr Parks have decided not to part with more of their cash until King puts his money where his mouth is or they have realised that he is just another David Murray that parted with everyone else cash than his own.

Warburton makes a comparison with House prices but fact is that if you want a particular house and / or it is a seller's market you will pay the asking price or close to it for the property. This is no different than with football and if we want MOH then to pay £400k or £500k, assuming that the latter is the asking price and the former is what we could get him for then it is a deal worth doing.
Comments that the money is there and that King is supporting will not be believed until we see the arrival of one of Warburton's prime targets rather than 'short term fixes' by way of loanees or bench warmers, picked up on the cheap, that will take time to develop.

Right now we are desperately in need of a quality defensive midfield player and that has been the case since the beginning of the season. We won't get the quality we need for the SPL without paying good money for them.

He forced the move to Dundee United through on freedom of contract. We were compensated 200k for developing him which at the time Dundee United went mental about.

Seems like a good deal for us now right enough. Always good to get one over on Thompson.

Stuzo and robbie 21, I know this is a rumour page, but to be honest lads if MOH deal was on we would have heard about it from other outlets other than petrol station forecourts or car rental firms. I'm not saying it won't happen, I'm simply saying unless we offer lots more cash (which I can't see happening) then it won't happen. However saints could be keeping him until after their semi final, who knows.

Its not happening. It has collapsed. It was meant to be done and dusted when MOH was rested for SJ game 2 weeks ago. Diagouraga was left out the Brentford side when they thought his deal was done as well, but it collapsed. Warbs has stressed how much he likes his business done early in the window and those were the 2 deals he wanted closed. If anything it will be a DM in on loan.
