Warburton has came out and said someone should sign early this week and that he won't train because he's been at the euros so most likely someone from Northern Ireland, rumours are that its Conor McLaughlin but I've been told that it's Aaron Hughes that's coming in this week to sign for us.

Doubt we'll get any loans until the end of the window.
That's why the full back cover, starting eleven centre back and starting eleven centre forward will all be permanent deals. We may question who's coming in, but there's no question any of the next three players through the door will be permanents.
Hodson, Mariappa and hopefully a striker who will be as exciting as the Barton, Kranjcar and Rossiter deals.

Wigan striker will grigg would be a fantastic signing for us although I do have to say with the transfer money involved there in trying to buy him would make it highly unlikely that we'd be able to sign him.

U pals with mariappa aye? We don't know what other offers he has had, i would guess that he will have the chance to play football at a much higher standard than we can offer so i think its harsh to say he's choosing money over football.

Delighted Tbh I haven't seen much of him at Fleetwood but I've been watching him closely for NI in the euros and said to the lads in work i'd take him in a heartbeat! Different player from Tav because first and foremost he's a defender hardworking and honest from what I've seen.

a players ability isn't judged on his price or what league he plays in. league 1 and 2 is still better than the spl.
if warburton thinks he fits the profile of this club and he can improve that player then its justified in my eyes
we also need to think about aberdeen and hearts as another challenge, they have not gone away either!

You are just fishing now caw1 the SPL is mince. There's plenty of players in league 2 down south that would walk into every SPL side. Personally I think building a TEAM is more important than getting a superstar. Look at the state of England last night how much are that team of prima donna individuals worth . Ousted by a group of players giving everything for each other. Trust MW.

Tav and Waghorn its alright them doing it in the championship remains to be seen how they do in the premiership. Tav can't defend for a start would play him further forward.

Out of the seven signings we've made so far, early days yet, but how many are guaranteed starters? I know everyone has to earn their place and all seven could be starters but at the moment Kranjcar and Barton are the only ones.
We may have made seven signings and improved the quality of our squad but two out of seven as of now, not sure if you'd add Rossiter to the two. Even then though we'd have a new midfield three replacing Halliday and Holt who were two of the more outstanding players last season.
Said this before, thinking Keirnan will likely play as a regular, when Holt will only play a fraction of the games he played last year. If we can replace the three in midfield surely we can replace the two so called centre halfs?

it depends where crooks will play. if crooks is played at centre back, in my opinion he'll be used instead of Wilson, also we have Hill as well, I doubt he'll be a starter, more of a backup. Personally I believe Kiernan is better than Wilson, when Kiernan and Ball played together at the back I'm sure we had clean sheets in most games, which makes me think that the two centrebacks will be Kiernan and Crooks. The midfield for next year we will have to wait and see who it will be. Holt is still young so he will be a player in the mix, Halliday too is a good player. 5 midfielders are trying their best for a place in that team, much better than last year. Windass, Mckay, Waghorn, O'hal and Miller all trying to get a place in the front 3 aswell.

I think Krancjar will have Forrester fighting for his jersey, Barton and Rossiter fighting it out and Halliday and Holt to me that is a great midfield with Crooks or Windass both able to play in there aswell.
Defensively we have got Hill and Crooks fighting it out with Wilson and Kiernan with 1 more CB possibly Marriapa getting added to the mix we still need cover for one of the FB positions with Aird returning from loan as an able deputy at full back.
Gk situation has inproved and up top we have Miller, McKay, Wags, Windass, Hardie and MOH and I expect Hardie to be loaned out and us to either sign another striker or loan 1 from EPL.
Squads looking great so far, 12 months ago 20 celtic players would have got in our squad now only Griffiths, Tiernay and Sviatchenko could get in our squad IMO and they wouldn't all start either!

Kranjcar is not a guaranteed starter. He has been a brilliant player, but he has something to prove now coming to us. He wasn't playing 2nd division football in the US for no reason. He had a long injury lay-off and is certainly a player with his best years behind him now. I believe he will be a good addition, but wither he holds down a regular spot or not is still up for debate for me.
Crooks will be in the team once fit I believe. Exactly the style of player we need, strong, athletic, good on the ball. Playing in a midfield role he will be able to give us more stability between attack and defence. That was our main weakness, getting caught on the counter. I think midfield will be his primary position, though he will also cover defensive positions CB/ RB, so this versatility is another reason he will be a regular in my opinion.
Yes I am aware playing Crooks in midfield means dropping another midfield talent but at the same time, the manager will do what is best for the team performance, regardless of who has to be played or left out, and I firmly believe Crooks will become more important than the likes of Halliday/ Holt/ Kranjcar.
Time will tell.

Crooks is by no means a guaranteed starter and and MW rates Windass higher so we are more likely to see him although granted different types of player.

I hope we sign ball and marriappa already seen ball can play cb with him and marriappa at the back we would be solid with a great midfield with options in it and then would be just the strike we all know will eventually come.

Think Hill will be 1st choice with Crooks beside him can see Hill staying back and Crooks being in same mould as Boughera (spelling) and having the ability to burst forward. getting sick of the flack Tav gets and the guy needs to be givin a chance to show his defensive game has improved! Said it before but don't want us wasting money on Hodson when we can cover RB with Kiernan or Aird but do trust the Offer as I think Aird may be off if Hodson does come in. Dunno if Hodson can cover both flanks tho? As we really don't have covet for Wallace, I think Hill could cover hence another CB and I hope its the big American the guy makes Balde look like a wee girl.
