26 Oct 2017 18:57:51
Been told michel preud'homme and he's been bet in from 33/1 to 16's

26 Oct 2017 19:06:04
Here we go!
Hang on!

26 Oct 2017 19:27:48
What in place of Foderingham? I'll take that!

26 Oct 2017 19:34:54
would be great. excellent track record. never going to happen.

26 Oct 2017 20:04:44
Here's who I would take:

Pardew
Allardice
T Wright
Lambert (don't mock, good Rangers family)
Mcinnes

We shouldn't touch McLeish, Ferguson, Davies.

Doesn't needed to be a Rangers man. Just a passionate guy who can fire up the players.

26 Oct 2017 20:54:03
all the names being banded about are the same old names being linked with us previously i would like the board to show more ambition and go for someone like michael o'neill or even chris coleman. also we have big problems for the hearts game at the weekend. alves and cardoso out and danny wilson not fit enough. leaving only mccrorie as our recognised centre back. also dorrans almost certainly out and jack suspended. will rossiter be rushed back.

on alves will he want to leave now caxinha has gone.

a lot of issues to be sorted out in the weeks ahead and first thing murty has to do is try and unite the dressing room and hopefully get a positive result on saturday.

26 Oct 2017 21:53:01
McInnes has to be the next manager he has taken Aberdeen as far as he can on their budget so imagine what he could do with 10 million to spend if we are going to bring in a manager to do us to the end of the season Walter or McLeish would be perfect both would set us up defensive making us hard to beat

26 Oct 2017 22:37:29
wish we had a defence to sort out. all injured or suspended. alves will play for whoever comes in, he is a pro.

26 Oct 2017 23:52:21
Spurs 1974, here's the thing,
Pardew, probably couldn't afford him.
Allardyce, doesn't want to manage at club level anymore.
T Wright, not good enough.
Lambert! Please, get hold of yourself man.
McInness, the man's team were beaten heavier than us by the dhims just last night. And he apparently wears Ugh boots lol
The new man has to know Scottish football and for me would preferably be a Blue Nose.
And by the way, Pedro was a passionate manager. Didn't do him much good.

27 Oct 2017 05:01:14
I don't get why folk are against McInnis, he is clearly the best Scottish manager in Scotland right now, probably the best manger excluding Rodgers.

He also is a bluenose and knows what it takes to walk out on top the pitch.

We signed Alex from hibs for achieving less lol

27 Oct 2017 05:05:00
Pruedhomme has a 56% win ratio as a manager that's as bad as Pedro had at Rangers

27 Oct 2017 07:08:31
If we get any more short staffed we’ll have to bring bk Forrester or Halliday!

27 Oct 2017 07:37:02
Got to be honest, I couldn't give a monkeys baw sack who gets the job, as long as penniless king is in charge of us we're going to go from one breast to another, we're a joke and laughing stock and there's no sign of it coming to an end.

27 Oct 2017 10:18:25
next manager will be told ther is no money and we need to get the best out of the players there.

maybe get a moult and mclean. and i'd also go for mcginn.
but that's all we could get oh and maybe walker if he start playing well again

26 Oct 2017 18:54:45
Why did Pedro tell Miller and Wallace to stay away from ibrox last night. was this away of Pedro working his exit?

27 Oct 2017 07:35:43
He also told niko to stay away as well

27 Oct 2017 08:50:58
Maybe he had got a sniff that Miller and Wallace were involved behind his back. The whole episode stinks

26 Oct 2017 18:31:20
I have heard from a source that tommy wright and derrik mcinnes are the front runners for the job with the bookies and are also top of the clubs list but they are also thinking of bring back Stuart McCall but i feel we need someone of pardews or big sams caliber to move forward.

26 Oct 2017 21:00:56
Padrew has previously labelled Spl a mickey mouse league when we were dealing with Newcastle over Forester so I'd probably rule that one out

26 Oct 2017 23:56:25
Bookies are actually quoting Murty as favourite. God help us.

27 Oct 2017 07:32:25
Who's your source, Walt Disney?

26 Oct 2017 18:23:55
Officially sacked, as I posted last night would be the case! Apology in order from the doubters.
Long overdue! No- one who knows what has actually been going on has any regrets. He brought the club into disrepute and only had time for the foreign duds he brought in. Heaven help whoever has to work with the dross he has left

26 Oct 2017 15:12:02
Alan Pardew. Sam Allerdyce. Frank De Boer. 3 available managers that would do a bit for us!

26 Oct 2017 15:15:59
no de boer for me. would cost a fortune and failed at palace same way pedro failed with us. trying to force methods that didn't suit a team or league

26 Oct 2017 15:26:13
Pardew for me but would be happy with allardyce

26 Oct 2017 15:26:18
No padrew either. I remember him absolutely slating Scottish football on a couple of occasions whilst talking about Forster when he was Newcastle manager. That was a few years ago when the league was actually competitive as well.
Plus he only ever seems to get one good initial season from a team then fades and I think we now need someone long term,
Also his links to mike Ashley and I would recommend we stay well clear.
Much better options available.

26 Oct 2017 15:26:40
Would maybe take Pardew? The guy is a better manager than Rodgers in my opinion.

26 Oct 2017 15:36:35
Redknapp or Pardew for me

26 Oct 2017 16:04:04
Seen somewhere else if Big Sam takes another club job before Jan 2019 he is due Palace £2 million quid. Not sure how true but could scunner any chance before we even get to ask the question.

26 Oct 2017 16:28:18
Of the 3 you mention I'd take Allerdyce all day, the players would be playing for the jersey with him in charge. Whoever takes over I wish them all the best and they must be given time. Yet to see a club who change managers a lot get success.

26 Oct 2017 16:38:25
You actually think these guys would come to us? We've just pished £10m+ up against the wall over the last 8 months. Where would the money come from to allow us to.

a) Pay the wages for these managers and their back room staff
b) Pay for the players they would inevitably want.

That's before you even ask yourself "Why would they want to come". let's face it, we are somewhat of a poisoned chalice at the moment. Who would want to touch us, other than the likes of Billy Davies and Alex Mcliesh

At least Brenda was enjoying his severance from Liverpool, + a huge wage from Celtic on a rolling contract + he was joining the league champions with a chance of getting into the Champions League groups. He couldn't lose, and he literally hasn't domestically.

What could this club possibly offer these names other than the fans loyal support to the club. The Rangers fans backed Pedro and Warburton, two unknown, untested managers, home and Away, travelling up and down the country for what? To be ridiculed last season and to be Papped out the cup by essentially a Sunday league amateur team at the weekend and then that farce last night which might I add, is the most brutal thing I have seen at Ibrox in all my years, including Egil Østenstad.

Our problem is much bigger than just picking a manager from the list quoted guys.

So, the Rangers board have their most important decision to make in the clubs history, they must not take it lightly and they must think about one thing and one thing only. Stopping Celtic, not catching them, not sneaking a draw occasionally, they must stop them, and stop them winning 10 in a row, because that is the sh*t that sticks. its that simple. Not a aggregated plan over 2, 3, or 4 years. It must be done now. They have to invest heavily, without expecting anything in return because that's what the fans have done for the past 5 going on 6 years and the other 140 years before that.

26 Oct 2017 16:42:27
Anyone bar Davies or Mcinnes
The job is way too big for either

26 Oct 2017 16:47:41
I think we are going to end up with billy davies on a deal till the end off the season and this will result in us finishing 4th he's a shocking manager

Sad too see Pedro go guy never got a good enough chance in my eyes but time too move on

I don't see anyone available out there that will do any better hope I'm proven wrong but because the one thing I want is just for the team too move forward with some stability

26 Oct 2017 17:03:50
really, u all wanted someone with rangers blood and new scottish football

26 Oct 2017 17:22:12
Rik I don't think I've ever read a more contradictory post ever. You start by saying we can't get a manager and we have wasted £10 million. End by saying we must get a top manager and invest. I would not mind betting if Morelos keeps playing as he has he alone may be worth the 10m.
I agree its a poisoned chalice atm but we have to keep believing or what's the alternative?

26 Oct 2017 18:21:37
Has to be McLeish surely, unless DoF has someone in mind.

26 Oct 2017 18:23:59
Alan pardew no way on earth is he a rangers manager, it can only be eck. Here we go bears finally we will get back on track.

26 Oct 2017 18:29:05
Jj tp take over . Will benefit the youth . Watch this space

26 Oct 2017 18:30:20
cant afford any of this lot- pie in the sky- And none of them would come up here anyway.

26 Oct 2017 18:31:53
Chris Coleman ., Alan Pardew or Neil Warnock for me

26 Oct 2017 18:32:17
Mcinnes. Easy

26 Oct 2017 18:33:59
Big Sam for me but needs to get rid of pedros duds and get Monday in jan that is a must

26 Oct 2017 18:35:11
Has to be Walter for the remainder of the season. He is the only man we can trust and has club interest at heart. He has nothing to prove and will steady the ship.

26 Oct 2017 18:45:13
I would ask Walter to take over for the rest of the season then go for Michael O'neil, don't want eck back and billy Davies no thanks

26 Oct 2017 18:58:16
If Morelos keeps playing the way he has he'll be worth 10 pence not 10 million.

26 Oct 2017 20:25:07
First post fellow bears . anybody else in my eyes bar mcinnes is a gamble as we’re doing 2 things . taking the sheeps manager from them and giving them our problem and do we have the money to take the gamble and go for Big Sam, Pardew or guys of that calibre? . They command good pays, very good budgets and the chance the might not come due to the state were in financialy and squad wise and incase they harm they're profile/ reputation, hence mcinnes is a safe bet . to get some stability back and cement 2nd place and a chance to build a decent squad . I’d love Big Sam but we can’t afford him at the moment, back to basics guys and just had a text that Patrick viera is interested as he’s mark Allan’s mate . to much of a gamble

26 Oct 2017 21:29:26
o’neill or coleman what a load of rubbish great what they've done in international football but their both countries that have zero pressure from the fans totally different set up with us the fans are fed up of watching dross the new man nds to hit the ground running our clubs success advocaat aside has bn built on proper british hard graft allardyce or neil warnock for me both no nonsense managers and are thick skinned enough to not be bothered by the constant celtic minded pundits in scottish taking pops at our club every chance they get massive decision for the board they've ballsed it up twice now hopefully the DOF will have some input this time who ever it is needs to bring back the NO LIKES US WE don't CARE attitude to the club because scottish teams are more interested in keeping us down than trying to beat the rats

27 Oct 2017 09:18:23
Blue Pete. I understand what your saying, but, I am talking in general terms of investment into the squad, not blowing your whack just to get a name in to try and appease the fans. I mean investment by bringing in the quality of player to beat Celtic. I don't care if you think i am contradicting myself when I say the names quoted are out with out price range. THEY ARE BY THE WAY, but we are in Dire Straits and its bigger than just bringing in a manager with a name as I fear no one man alone can fix this with the squad we have.

The board needs to show the fans that have supported this team through its darkest days in its history, by supporting the next manager be it Murty, McInnes, or whoever by building a team that doesn't just try to "Compete" but Beats Celtic. We have guys that have the money, that have sat in the shadows for the past 5 years that must band together and Take the Hit, and get this club back to where it should be.

26 Oct 2017 14:48:22
pedeo gone! source daily rag website.

26 Oct 2017 15:11:23
That means that Dave King and the rest of the board are now "haters" as peds11 would put it. So much for not having the money to sack him. Time to move on from that shambles and at least now we don't have to go into work in the morning on the back of one of pedro's ridiculous and embarrassing statements.

26 Oct 2017 16:28:12
‘arry, big sam or pardew for me

26 Oct 2017 17:17:44
Stuart pierce.

26 Oct 2017 17:49:36
well definitely no money now. bet any one coming in jan are all loans

26 Oct 2017 14:10:14
Is Pedro getting sacked or what eny news guys.

26 Oct 2017 14:22:07
Supposedly this afternoon

26 Oct 2017 14:29:15
He's had his time just not up to the task the risk didn't pay of been a shambles wanted him to succeed. but on to next one . its beyond a joke

26 Oct 2017 15:00:14
BBC he is gone

26 Oct 2017 15:05:33
Who is Gona be next manager could be murty and Kenny as a temp many

26 Oct 2017 15:41:25
Money must be coming from somewhere to cover pay-offs and to bring a new manager in plus new players - here's hoping we get it right this time -

26 Oct 2017 16:05:33
Who said anything about money for players though mate? The decision might have been taken knowing it will come out of any future pot for signings etc. It was a call that just couldn't be avoided any longer.

26 Oct 2017 11:56:45
King to sack Pedro tomorrow morning. Source directly inside Ibrox.

26 Oct 2017 12:12:31
Source directly inside ibrox? The tea lady? Who is the source?

{Ed033's Note - It's normally Big Daddy's

26 Oct 2017 12:17:45
WHY not sack him today?

26 Oct 2017 12:22:47
Good, about time! I’ll be honest I wanted it to work for him but you could tell early on that it wasn’t going to

26 Oct 2017 12:30:13
King leaves glasgow today so don't believe this

26 Oct 2017 12:41:55
i think u will find the board have to sack him, don't believe a chairman has that power alone

26 Oct 2017 12:49:05
Meeting happening now according to multiple sources

26 Oct 2017 13:10:19
Bye Bye Pedro. Portuguese impostor. Thanks for absolutely NOTHING during your tenure.

Thank god we might get an actual manager in charge.

26 Oct 2017 13:55:16
If we do get a new manager, he better be multilingual or we'll be even deeper in it. We've got til January with this lot and precious little to spend even then.

26 Oct 2017 14:01:31
Ok Guys who will come to the club?
Which Scottish manager will want to inherit what players we have just now. We need a good investment NOW.

26 Oct 2017 14:40:35
so what is the outcome of the emergency unplanned meeting then. surely the press must know by now

26 Oct 2017 15:32:00
Get wee novo in as coaching staff to fill the gap with the language barrier

26 Oct 2017 17:49:18
Josh Windass' inability and Pedro's failure to see that cost him dearly as did Ryan Jack's ill discipline. Had Windass shown as much faith in Pedro as Pedro showed to him he'd have scored on Sunday and we'd be in a final.
Had Ryan jack stayed on the park against. both Hibs and last night we wouldn't have lost to Hibs or drawn last night.
Pedro was trying to get it right but backing the wrong players to do it.
Windass should be out the door too and Jack dropped.

26 Oct 2017 18:19:01
The source is a board member and the meeting taking place right now! The truth will out!

26 Oct 2017 18:19:50
Sky Sports reporting unscheduled board meeting to discuss the managers future

26 Oct 2017 18:15:05
Should have been sacked ages ago.

26 Oct 2017 18:21:38
Geesadpdo think you are talking dodo give us one reason to keep the CLOWN? ?

26 Oct 2017 18:36:37
Get wee novi back to that pub he supposedly runs.

26 Oct 2017 22:31:08
Because king need one of the other directors too pay the money due too the managerial team.

More upheaval at Ibrox and Murray park if you include the interim managers we have already had 6 mangers in 3 years Sally, mcdowell, McCall, bread head, Murty and Pedro. Add number 7 tomorrow if he does get the sack then 8 when we get a new manger in.

Am I correct to think we only had 12 mangers in our first 130 odd years before sally took over?

26 Oct 2017 11:54:55
BBC reporting an emergency board meeting has been called for today to discuss the manager. Hopefully he will be gone by this evening.

26 Oct 2017 12:11:43
well if the majority on here get their way i am ashamed. the guy is trying, the majority of players letting him down are the ones u wanted him to bring in. ok pena and dalcio aren't doing it yet, but how long did mccoist take to settle and he is scottish. you need to look at your expectations we don't have 20m to spend every transfer. anyway i give up trying to reason with u, god help our next manager if indeed the rumours are true.

mccoist must have been the worst manager i remember but we stuck with him, why because he was a legend. in my eyes he is main reason we didn't develop youth and wasted more money than pc has ever seen.

26 Oct 2017 12:22:19
there wss always planned to be a meeting, hence king is over here to discuss agm etc. you guys r the most gullable lot out. keep away from the press and you will be ok

26 Oct 2017 12:23:20
Geesadodo away and give us peace we need to look at our expectations? so we shouldn’t expect to beat killie at home? we shouldn’t expect to have won more than 1 home league game by the end of October? and we should accept that Pedro can’t get a team to win more than 2 games on the bounce? we shouldn’t expect our players to be fit enough to be able to perform for 90 minutes? he embarrasses himself in every interview and he is now allegedly banning members of the first team from attending games? the man is a fool and the sooner he goes the better for our club

26 Oct 2017 12:25:49
McCoist never settled

26 Oct 2017 12:36:30
the players letting Pedro down are the ones he bought or he continually picks despite woeful performances

hand on heart can any of you tell me nemane should be playing ahead of miller

total farce if we can’t even beat m’well or bottom of table
killie the games up

5pts from 5 home gamesome SPL. nuff said

26 Oct 2017 12:48:34
The meeting wasn’t already planned according to the press. How long will you blindly follow him? So by your logic we never sack a manager? Why? He’s pish. I think there is a decent squad there minus Pena and Dalcio and I think a decent manager would get more out of them. I like McInnes and I think that’s the kind of market manager wise we’re looking at.

26 Oct 2017 14:19:57
according to the press? really. then why was king over, oh if it was to have a meeting then i believe its planned. rfc don't speak to the press so how would they know?

26 Oct 2017 14:40:25
Geesdodo the clown should be sacked today and rightfully so! u not reply to my points above?

26 Oct 2017 15:59:25
At last. should have been sacked months ago the guy was clueless. are the Pedro lovers on here in mourning now

26 Oct 2017 18:26:12
Thank goodness the clown has gone, having torn the dressing room assunder and humiliated players, fans and the club.
God help the man who inherits dross like Dalcio and Pena

26 Oct 2017 11:27:18
its simple pedro is going no where even if the board wanted to get rid of him we simply can't afford to. As i said in an earlier post it would cost rangers a couple of million in compensation to sack pedro.
Any new manager would want at least a transfer kitty of min 8 million just to complete for second spot or nearer 20 million if they wanted to challenge for the league title.

not going to happen the board are committed to pedro and that will not change unless seroius investment is made in our team.

if you look at our previous managers pre going bust w smith mcleish ect when signing new players they had about a 70% success 30 % of them didn't settle or where duff. So why is pedro getting this abuse when he is working with a quarter of the budget that smith and co had.

26 Oct 2017 12:05:22
There is a board meeting taking place today regarding his future.

You say any manager would want 8m, fair enough, we have spent more than 8m and we are sitting 4th after 10 games. We are currently not competing with second, we have the form of a mid table club at the moment. It's just not good enough.

I was an avid backer of Pedro, but for a manager to spend that kind of money, bearing in mind we spend more than ANY club this transfer window (albeit the money was needed) and to be sitting in this position in the table and unable to beat Motherwell t take us to our first final since coming back is totally unacceptable.

26 Oct 2017 12:49:53
"So why is pedro getting this abuse when he is working with a quarter of the budget that smith and co had. "

Because it is still much more than every other team in the league bar one, but you wouldn't think it based on the performances and the league position

26 Oct 2017 11:24:14
I bumped into michelle ohalloran in perth the other day and he says he will never return to rangers while pedro is there after the way he was treated and used as a scape goat. He also told me that there is a massive divide in the dressing room that pedro has caused.

26 Oct 2017 11:41:40
And of course O'Halloran doesn't have an axe to grind! He was utter gash, wouldn't want him back.

26 Oct 2017 13:27:08
banishing that wee tim is one of the few things pedro has got right mate! the feeling is mutual MOH, don't want you anywhere near the club either!

26 Oct 2017 15:15:40
Snell _. I would take MOH all day
Ahead of windass, pena and dalcio.
Also he has sell in value. Not much but we can't afford to be spending money in total duds and giving awayplayers who have value!

26 Oct 2017 15:26:08
i respect your opinion mate, i'd take one of they training dummies in place of windass to be fair!

26 Oct 2017 18:21:08
Calm it guys Pedro is toast
. Fact
I posted it last night and the source is a board member. The manager has lost half the first team playing staff and is held in ridicule by fellow professionals in the game! '
Yet some deluded people want to keep him as a stain on the name of Glasgow Rangers! '
What will be interesting is the position of the board member (s) who wanted him at the club!
A wasted season but he had to go!

26 Oct 2017 11:24:51
A lot of talk around an unscheduled meeting for the board today, is the caravan about to get towed who knows, a shame because i seem to genuinely like the guy just results have been all over the place.

26 Oct 2017 11:21:44
looks like pedro may well be gone this week.

26 Oct 2017 08:49:24
Does anyone know why Wallace, krankjar and Miller were told to stay away from Ibrox last night?

26 Oct 2017 08:56:39
Does seem to be a strange decision.

26 Oct 2017 09:31:50
Our manager being an absolute clown once again and trying to flex his muscle. Get him out asap.

26 Oct 2017 09:35:53
After lauding them as being part of his 5 leaders he's obviously decided they are a threat to his authority and now only wants Alves and Dorrans ie his own signings. This guy is a clown and needs to go before be causes more damage to our club.

26 Oct 2017 09:44:56
Did that happen though?

26 Oct 2017 10:44:51
I know the press are full of this but I'd like to know where it came from and if it's true. Too much nonsense like this coming out. The Club need to let us Bears know what's true and what's bull. It's doing my head in.

26 Oct 2017 11:01:10
Well there's something else been leaked as nothing official has come from anyone at the club.

Can't believe we are backing players over a manager again if this was back when Walter or Struth etc where manager there arses wouldn't have touch the marble at ibrox they would have kicked them out that hard yet a foreign guy does it and we back the player cause he stuck by us?

Kenny miller is only at Rangers because he wanted too move back too Scotland and we offered him the most money not because he's some sort of Rangers man same goes for Wallace he didn't want too leave his young family or move them away so he stuck it out at Rangers.

25 Oct 2017 23:37:59
Orlando City looking at bringing Danny Wilson over here. Apparently been told he can make the move for free. Good source.

25 Oct 2017 23:03:13
Board are meeting at 2pm tomorrow to discuss Pedros future with the club. Signs are that he will be dismissed as manager and the board will be looking to appoint a new manager within a week.

Take this with fact. Its happening.

26 Oct 2017 06:43:21
Alot of nonsense as much as i'd like too see him go. I can't see it happening. He's just built a new team which is naturally going to take time to gel. Should've been a Rangers man from the start bad move from the board in the first place. Can't blame Pedro its dave king we need to be looking at.

26 Oct 2017 06:51:22
Hope your right mate. Canny stand anymore of this
Wanted ped to succeed but his records worse than the bread man.
We're a laughing stock the now

26 Oct 2017 07:55:37
The only sensible thing to come out of Pedros mouth in the last couple of months was to say to those players that they are an embarrasement to Rangers Football club. I want all rangers managers to succeed but, how long want we risk these points being dropped. The only positive thing i can take from that game was the fact we still gained a point on the sheep

26 Oct 2017 10:52:57
Don't see Pedro going anywhere any time soon. But if he does, surely the Board will take their time to try to appoint the right man. Within a week would be absolute madness, unless they've been sounding out replacements for the past month or so.

If the board are doing their job properly then they would already have people in mind. I really hope this clown goes today but can’t see it happening. Yet more suffering for us fans I’m afraid

I love the way that people just assume managers would be happy to come in to help the club out, but with no chance of getting the job permanently.
Would you be happy with this if it was you, Kaymer?
