Stv stating that Red Bull are looking to take over Rangers. Would most likely mean the club would be know as "Red Bull Rangers" but with still seemingly financial uncertainty at the club I think if they did make an offer it would be in our best interests to accept it.

26 Nov 2016 16:06:08
Club will be known as Rangers.

26 Nov 2016 16:54:25
never happen lads, there's no profit in scottish football for a company that size to invest.

26 Nov 2016 17:46:45
Kinda agree bhoywonder but Austria isn't the most commercially viable of leagues.

26 Nov 2016 19:03:02
There is money to be made if you are Red Bull and you can get the team into Europe but even with Rangers' Worldwide appeal I don't see it happening!

27 Nov 2016 12:23:17
I believe it could happen, maybe not this year but the closer celtic get to 10 in a row then the desperation could kick in. I know from the past that the thought of rangers doing 10 in a row was the worst time of my football days and I'm sure most honest rangers fans shall say the same about celtic doing 10 in a row.

27 Nov 2016 13:24:43
10 in a row wouldn't be the same as winning ten with both teams in the league. Basically the last 5 mean sweet fa. Red Bull aren't looking to make money in football it's all about promoting the brand. RB Leipzig doesn't stand for Red Bull Leipzig either so the whole"Red Bull Rangers" thing can be put to bed right now.

27 Nov 2016 14:07:19
I can't get my head round why selik are so desperate for 10 in a row when the record there trying to break is only there own since Rangers don't "exsist" anymore🤔.

27 Nov 2016 23:23:23
Jmaster- the only reaso the club isn't called Red Bull Leipzig is the ban on commercial names of clubs in Germany. So the RB stands for something long an she German but is very much insinuated as Red Bull. Without similar regulations in Scotland, if they did invest it would be highly likely they'd expect the Red Bull name to be used. Off the top of my head I am sure that's the deal they have with Salzburg? Sorry if that's wrong, but 90% sure!

28 Nov 2016 10:02:29
j master, that's like trying to say Andy Murray being world number 1 means nothing because Nadal and Federer were out for 6 month. or Jordan speith masters don't count because tiger woods was not playing.

28 Nov 2016 10:03:34
i couldn't care any less if they wanted to call us red bull rangers.
we are rangers and it doesn't matter what comes before it or after it and most would be okay with this in the long run when we get the financial backing of a giant company like them.
to them 30 million is peanuts but would make our team a lot better.

28 Nov 2016 12:05:18
This is a weird one. The money would be amazing. but they'd rip the team that we know apart. Yeah sure we'd see ourselves as Rangers, but no one else would. Also, we'd no longer play in blue and white. kits would completely change. the club itself would change.

28 Nov 2016 13:35:33
this is all pointless anyways as red bull can't buy rangers the resolution 11 didn't pass so there are no new shares to buy.

and comparing golf to the spl is just stupidity but what else do u expect from a celtic fan.

you all know fine well its not the same as the two nine in a rows of years gone past get this ten and pretend it means as much all you want but we know that you all know its not the same and these titles are tainted . they are titles non the less so go on convince yourselves that they mean as much as they do when we are in the league.

although saying that you guys hardly had fans at the games during those years did you and everyone came rushing back when the mighty rangers where coming back up. goes to show its all about the rangers.

28 Nov 2016 16:52:32
The pain is really oozing out of some you lot. If Celtic win 10 in a row it will be deserved, the only tainted titles you lot should be worrying about are the Ones your old club won during the Ebt years. When the Supreme Court rules against the appeal they will be stripped And rightly so.

Rangers1993,you posted that STV stated that red bull were looking to take over rangers! Where did you see that mate? Can't see STV stating that anywhere my friend!

28 Nov 2016 22:40:33
Guys,

Red Bull recognise the size of Rangers and recognise that Rangers are on the way up and want to capitalise on Rangers rise.

To suggest there's no market or interest in Scottish football or Rangers is foolish.

1) Scottish football is covered nationwide by all big channels.

2) the old firm is viewed worldwide.

3) as Rangers grow and likewise Red Bull we'd be part of a collective group if clubs where by relationships will be built and we'll have friendlies in areas were the club and sponsors can grow the brand and name.

WE NEED THIS.

I'm in favour of stadium name change and that of the stadium facility and Inc the logo on strips.

£12M-£20M per year for ten years would make Rangers a force again and tell my why RB couldn't benefit from that.

Stop with the negativity people.

28 Nov 2016 22:57:32
Red Bull is huge company. and we are a sleeping giant with huge potential and a massive fanbase. its not about Red Bull investing to make money. its about being associated with a succesful club and the fantastic publicity and advertising that goes with it. i'd welcome it as King doesn't seem to have any investors lining up. Just more watered down share issues which again the fans will pay for.

29 Nov 2016 10:19:31
I agree Forza, there's a huge marketing opportunity for Red Bull when Rangers are involved. It would make sense to a company like Red Bull to want to be involved with us.

29 Nov 2016 13:28:56
Keep telling yourself the titles will be stripped, ain't going to happen.

29 Nov 2016 13:11:05
Just to make you aware lads this rumour was actually started on a celtic forum as a bit of a bam up lol. Red bull invested in Salzburg because that is where the RB headquarters is. This is a business with zero personal attachmenf to The Rangers, why would they pump in 20 million a year, plus all the initial outlay of millions to get the club up to scratch, for basically zero return of investment? Lol. Dreaming.
