NO JOKE

My uncle is the one of the groundsmen at the walkers stadium (leicester stadium ) and says sol bamba has made it very clear he does not want to play for them anymore he indicated he would like to move back up north but only to one of the old firm teams

Goian is our wildcard signing says on Official rangers website that hes been registerred and theyre just waiting for the appropriate paperwork to come through for him to play..he'll hopefully be able to play this weekend and against malmo second leg..Weir has suffered a hamstring injury and is expected to miss next leg

Believable9 Unbelievable1

Omg their going to cut weirs leg of?? might do him a favor

Agree0 Disagree0

Pmsl did you no see his sprint that made him pull his hamstring? he f***in well nailed that larson then paid for it after lol

I have faith in ally and i have faith in the staff but they need to bring in better players.

SHOULD BE OUT:

EDU - He was signed for £2.6m what a waste , hes ok in a five man midfield if he plays free role coz he has no positional sense passing is terrible shooting is worse and has no passion
Broadfoot - Fair enough he puts in effort but he is way below the standard of an old firm player
Bougherra - Not a brilliant player anymore. Since January last season he has been poor . He used to be able to run forward with ball but now cant and does it more than ever. Has no desire to play for us anymore so sell him

Ally sort whittaker out last 2 games hes been s**t and why dont they bring in an expierienced coach to advise mccoist durrants clueless

Believable13 Unbelievable2

Believable2 Unbelievable16

I think u suck b**by to be honest {Ed046's Note -

Agree0 Disagree0

Ur having a giggle mate Personally, I wouldn't let Edu anywhere near the pitch, he dancies about like a fairy with no commitment or clue. Whittaker very over-rated never imo been Rangers class and never will be Bougherra in midfield? he has no interest in being at Rangers, whatever position Ally playing players out of position, just like Wattie did no oomph, or grit from the team. They need to toughen up and have some winning mentality again.i could go on, but I'll let someone else comment lol. Come on Ally, et the guys in gear and go for it

Heard a rumour Former Motherwell man Giles Coke was at Ibrox tonight. Hope that doesn't mean he is signing.

Believable2 Unbelievable11

26 Jul 2011 22:24:26
listen all rangers fans i have just spoken to my mate who is a celtic fan and he is a manager in one of the casinos in glasgow were david goodwillie was in last night and he popped the question to david about signing for rangers and he smiled and said signed sealed and delivered go on rangers happy days ahead

Believable14 Unbelievable37

Does he have a dog called Snowy??

Agree0 Disagree0

Absolute nonsense mate, a close personal friend of mine is a good friend of his.... He doesnt want to stay in Scotland? hes sick of it

Agree0 Disagree0

I hope your right, because quite frankly the club is becoming an embarrassment

Agree0 Disagree0

Why do all these blue bears drop the line "my mate who is a celtic fan", is if that makes ur pish talk anymore credible, post ur rumour and get on with it and let time tell with Goodwillie

Agree0 Disagree0

Yes but is he a close personal friend of Wullie's dug?

Agree0 Disagree0

Cant comment on reliable sources etc as dont have any, but evening rele in dundee tonight had front page story - man u and arsenal in for goodie i hope the lad has more sense than to go to any of those 2 just now, hed be better off following up the rangers or blackpool route at this stage of his career. wouldnt mind him at celtic eiter to be hones even if he is a bit of a person if you guys get him it will be some signing for yous, there are enough wise heads in the rangers locker room to keep his feet on the ground and keep him out of bother

Evinguu

Agree0 Disagree0

The manks have lost out again

Agree0 Disagree0

Was he celebrating his case being dropped?

Agree0 Disagree0

Oh my mate was talkin to my uncles, sister, cousins, friends aunties dog and she said that we have signed goodwillie, get a life ya clown

Drew

Agree0 Disagree0

'The manks have lost out again'

HAHA WHY WOULD WE TAKE A MAN LIKE GOODWILLIE, HE IS RANGERS CLASS ALA DIOUF AND RICHARD GOUGH...P.S MALMO 1-0

Agree0 Disagree0

Nonsense He was at a United local prize giving lastnight. (why post Sh**?)And I can also confirm that he was training wit United first thing this morning.

Agree0 Disagree0

Was he in the casino trying to win some money for whyte to buy players?

Agree0 Disagree0

Well my uncles dogs nephew was talking to wullies dog snowy and hes heard tht man united have signed broadfoot

Agree0 Disagree0

Haha a casino manager? aye thats a credible source if i've ever heard it

Agree0 Disagree0

One of my best mates barry douglas is flat sharing with goodwillie and he said that the only club he wants to sign for is rangers. the only way he wont sign for us is if we dont want him or we dont stump up enough cash

Agree0 Disagree0

26 Jul 2011 22:14:27
Fact chriss brunt was sitting up in club deck this evening expected to sign 2morrow just wot we need ...butch the bear

Believable8 Unbelievable35

Here thats alot of crap. there was nobody in the club deck.lol

Agree0 Disagree0

Mate i hope thats true.we were pathetic tonight.absoultely pathetic.the only positive i can take from that is that wallace did pretty well and ortiz didnt look too bad when he came on.brunt would be a welcome addition.

Agree0 Disagree0

I hope I'm wrong but will mr whyte give ally anymore cash? Should have backed him 2-3 weeks ago so we could have had a team with players able to play in there own positions. Where will we play cuellar if we get him? Keeper, holding midfielder, winger? Could be any of these. Fact.

Agree0 Disagree0

I just met your brother rupert and he says yer talkin p1sh.

Agree0 Disagree0

Chris Brunt is a Rangers supporter and was probably up to watch the game..he'll definately no sign after that performance...i was expecting them to take off the masks and we'd see Sellik underneath.

Agree0 Disagree0

And i just met ur sister toc go back to ur own site

Agree0 Disagree0

I was at school with chris... he is a die hard Rangers fan from east belfast so he was probably just supporting them. and anyway, hes been in our academy so we had our chance & we missed him

Agree0 Disagree0

26 Jul 2011 20:06:50
yet again

Believable30 Unbelievable5

Yep, absolute trash, gutless..............

Agree0 Disagree0

Better get used to it folks, I'm thinking no silverware this season without fresh blood. How can Mr Whye not see this?

Agree0 Disagree0

If we get put out this round is that us out of Europe altogether.

Agree0 Disagree0

How did half these so called Rangers become professional footballers? Seriously. WTF

Agree0 Disagree0

Absolute pish, defence a mess-no midfield and not a clue up front, said it once and will say it again..mcoist go now with your dignity intact your a gers legend but NOT a manager

Agree0 Disagree0

Lose tonight and we are out of Europe - lose in the next round we have Europa League. Another Kaunus it looks - how can McCoist watch this and do NOTHING

Agree0 Disagree0

DEEP doo doo Bears, deep doo doo, I never thought I'd say this............. we need a football Manager, not a legend. Sorry Super Ally, BUT, we need to win things mate(:

Agree0 Disagree0

Hearts should have been 3 or 4 up against us on saturday and now this Not good enough

Agree0 Disagree0

Agree with last post - Ally looks lost, not one change since 30 mins..............

Agree0 Disagree0

As much as I would love Super Ally to be a massive success after 2 games this already feels like the beginning of another Le Guen era We need the players to step up and give Ally the performances they are capable of otherwise I think we will be looking for a new manager sooner than we would like

Agree0 Disagree0

We are rank rotten

Agree0 Disagree0

I'm absolutely shocked by this performance, again as with the Hearts game, there is very little constructive organisation in the team, the defence is a joke, the midfield has nothing and Jelavic can't get a hold of the ball. WHY THE HELL IS EDU GETTING A GAME? He contibutes a massive 0% to the game. Whittaker is a liability in defence, i'd feel more obliged to try him in midfield on the wing than allow him to gift goals to the opposition. Mr Whyte should use some of the millions for the transfer kitty to offer Walter a return, players or not...walter can win trophies, McCoist can't he has no idea what to do, you can see it in his face. Get the call in to Walter, ask him for another couple of seasons with the new transfer money and see where he takes us. Please change something cos it AINT WORKING AT ALL

Agree0 Disagree0

1-0 didnt do Malmo justice. We just didnt have a clue and I fear for the rest of this season.Cant wait to hear all the excuses but frankly there are none.

Agree0 Disagree0

ALL THE COMMENTS ARE JUSTIFIED LADS.

Agree0 Disagree0

Ally looked like something at madam tusods. Didn't move, no encouragement. I know ur a Rangers legend but I see you as a tv pundit, not a manager. Clock is ticking.

Agree0 Disagree0

Mr whyte has to take the blame ally give him his signing targets and he was to tight .goodwillie will not be coming 2m not a cat in hells chance .we have no hope in malmo FFS

Agree0 Disagree0

Looks like ally hasnt a clue i saw it on his face lol a bet he was on the phone to walter at half time what will i do sorry ally my faith is lost n u son total legend player manager pish not a chance of gd things this season we need a whole new squad barring davis naisy jelavic and wylde and why the hell didnt he play wallace is s**t sorry for swearing i hate the jambo midden i was gutted when i saw him sign hes mince what is going on lads cant believe this oh i papac can stay forgot him new players for every position

Agree0 Disagree0

Watties finished he left on a hi he wasn't dealing with it this season because he knows whytes style u think this is bad it's goin to get embarrassing use mite get into the inter toto cup haha

Agree0 Disagree0

Big lee and edu should never play in the same team as each other again. play whiitty wide right with clubfoot behind him( or play ortiz wide right were he should be plying) so davis can play in the centre.

Agree0 Disagree0

McCoist must resign tomorrow and take McCulloch with him Why the hell did he play 3 man defence?? Nobody wanted to sign for us before so we have no chance of attracting anyone now. Even Goian had the luck of what the f*** have I done

Agree0 Disagree0

I dont agree with bringing walter back because we cant keep turning to him everytime something goes wrong but i'm afraid if we dont win on saturday ally's going to be under severe pressure

Agree0 Disagree0

WHYTE BETTER GET HIS FINGER OUT OF HIS A*** AND PAY MONEY FOR SOME PLAYERS

Agree0 Disagree0

Cant believe McCoist didnt change it but they players are embarrassing the manager and us Whittakers one of the top 4 players in the squad my @rse hes an absolute joke lee mcculloch should be shot.. all stevens are terrible and would be dropped if we had any other players davis the captain if he plays another one of they long lobs or corners with no pace im gonna shoot myself.. NO fight they didnt even look asif they knew the score, passing the ball about the back with 5 minutes to go Ashamed of that performance

Agree0 Disagree0

We are a joke we go 5 at the back at home how chicken is that ? We gotta win at home n try to win or even draw away Naismith ain't a striker Edu and mc Cullough aren't the answer in midfield beside Davis. We need width as well and they can't go long ball everytime.

Ally stop trying to defensive like Walter n play your own style

Agree0 Disagree0

I know you wont post this but hey ho.
this result tonight is the reason whyte isnt givin ally money. he knows ally isnt the man for the job and he knows he will squander the money.
a new manager will need new signings and whytte wont want to pay out from his already empty pockets on more less than average players.
face the reality that there wont be any top signings, any europe or any silverware.

Agree0 Disagree0

Team was rotten, and if we don't get another striker the season will be over.........

Agree0 Disagree0

Half of these posts are celtic fans i mean wallace had a good game

Agree0 Disagree0

Totally agree midfield is far too defensive and it gives the opposition too much space malmo who currently sit in 8th position in sweden showed us up disgrace

Agree0 Disagree0

Our season will be over and the transfer window will not have shut if we keep playing like this

Agree0 Disagree0

I am wondering if there is any truth in the rumour that whyte has billy davies lined up for the job maybe that is why he is not backing mccoist, s in the transfer market

Agree0 Disagree0

The man is a joke - Terry Butcher and Ray Wilkins to take over as new management team - they would never have stood for that psh He has 2 days to sign Goodwillie, Davidson and another midfielder St Johnstone will fancy their chances on Saturday and if they will then McCoist will have to go Should have paid the money sooner and got some decent players in before season started ps Whittaker is an idiot and can leave immediately Foster from Aberdeen would have been much better option

Agree0 Disagree0

Totally agree with all these posts. It infuriates me that players (knowing damn well time is ticking and the crowd are screaming at them) always persist in passing backwards, get the bass up the pitch. And when you rat the 18 yard box, TAKE A SHOT it might just go in. 3 defenders???? Seriously, play a 4-3-1-2, get Ortiz on the RIGHT, Davis in the middle with Wylde on the left, Naismith just in front of the mid field providing midfield cover if on the defensive and attcking options if on the offensive and play Jelavic and Healy for the time being up front with support from Naismith. Get a grip Ally, this is simple

Agree0 Disagree0

Jst showed how much we needed miller

Agree0 Disagree0

The team is actually shambollocks. Mcculloch and Edu have to go. The former is to old and the latter is too pish. Don't know why we signed Weir for another year he was exposed last year and he just isn't fit enough. McGregor is class but I worry for the rest of the team. Hopefully this is just because it's the start of the season but if we don't fix it Celtic will run away with the league.

Agree0 Disagree0

I agree with a few things here , but Walter should NOT come back things aren't looking good but I'll give ally a decent chance if we find ourselves 3rd by the 10th game then yeah BYE, but a few signings like Goodwillie, Carlos and let weir go because hes 41 I could walk past him with a ball and let the team blend and get match fit then we should be alright as long as ally has got a few plans

Agree0 Disagree0

I would agree with most of you guys. this is a really poor rangers team. when ally took over it i thought we might try and play some descent football for a change. why the hell he was so keen to tie whittaker, healy, kerker and weir down on new deals is beyond me. oh and edu & mcculloch are mince. it pains me to say this but if you look across to the other side of the city, they have so many options and quality midfielders. this maybe premiture but i think us rangers fans could be in for a torid few months cause this team is rank.

Agree0 Disagree0

Yous are all glory hunters ffs. Catch a grip. Give ALLY a break it's only his 2nd game. Did any of yous that posted pay money to go and support your team tonight? NO guess not. I bet half of yous are from the darkside that's posted. IN ALLY WE TRUST

Agree0 Disagree0

Gents, I coach using the 3-5-2 we witnessed tonight. My team is successful at it, but it has taken us a few months of training to get there.
To suddenly switch to this formation with no prior game experience was suicide.
Edu and McCulloch should have been dropping back into defence each time to help out. Davis was the man to push forward. Myself, I would have put Ortiz on the right wing and Wylde on the left. Keep Whittaker and Wallace as the wing backs. This would have worked if they all knew their positions.

Agree0 Disagree0

Come on guy's lets no let the septic see us slag off the champions most off these guy's will come good think about it we have had some up's and down's these last three seasons very bare squad but these are the guy's that have deliverd three in a row unfortunatly we hav'nt had as long to get our squad built up mainly cause the season started early but we will get there and always remember we are the people and we will fight till the day is done .

Agree0 Disagree0

Goodwillie is off to blackburn...FFS

Agree0 Disagree0

I can honestly say that i expected half of the starting eleven to be squad players by now and a better quality of player integrated in the team by now.
We need 1-2 CB.an experienced box to box mid an atk mid with vision and pace.
2 wingers with composure to cross the ball and pace and a striker to compliment Jelevic.
I don't expect to see much of that but in my opinion thats what we need.
If i see that obvious diagonal cross which fails to beat the first man from s**ttiker again i will scream.
I've been thinking for a while it was only a mater of time before the crack becomes a hole, It pains me to say that this may be it.
McGregor kept it respectable tonight and our team is one paced(slow) and when was the last time we scored from a set piece, especially a corner.
Big improvement needed by the players and a rethink by the backroom and boardroom staff.

Agree0 Disagree0

Was at the game the way the team was set up was even more defensive than walter, 5 defenders 2 holding midfielders one is so slow the other is so poor, Ally looks lost without Walter he just stood with his arms folded the whole second half.Worrying times ahead..ohh and Naismiths misses nearly as bad as Van Vossen..

Agree0 Disagree0

Agree with most off the posts.why o why spend all of pre season signing players already on contracts instead of getting in new players

Agree0 Disagree0

We started with 3 at the back it was clear to see it wasn't 5. 5 would have worked better allowing us to soak up pressure and play on the counter attack.

Agree0 Disagree0

Ally s been hung out to dry by whyte but he aint doing himself any favours by not making changes should have pulled lee or mo stuck ortiz in middle and Wylde on left if he didnae wanna sub a sub FFS Ally your just given them rope to hang you with

Agree0 Disagree0

If we lose in this champions league qualifier we are NOT out of Europe all together. We will go into the play off stage for the Europa league. Money may not be the same but it still European football.

Hopefully won't come to that

Source: Champions League 2011/2012 on Wikipedia.

Agree0 Disagree0

All these comments are a load of pi*h, dont judge ally after 2 games.

Agree0 Disagree0

I've never seen a worse player than Maurice Edu. He brings nothing to the team, he cant pass, he can't run with the ball....but the thing that f-cks me off more than anything, he has no heart whatsoever. Sooner he gets tae F the better.

As far as everything else goes I'm at a loss as to how we've found ourselfs in this position. Why the hell hasn't the team been given the much needed stregthening that's so blatantly obvious. It's all fine and well saying "we need 2 centre backs, a winger and a forward" get aff yer fat Shookies and get them in now

Agree0 Disagree0

''All these comments are a load of pi*h, dont judge ally after 2 games.'' Judging him based on 7 actually and don't patronize me with the whole ''Pre-season means nothing'' spiel. Professional footballers should not be losing to a 4th Division team irrespective of pre-season fitness. {Ed047's Note - That other lot will be loving this. Two bad games and it's crisis time!

Agree0 Disagree0

Its early days and I think that Goian in defence will bring some stability and a good foundation so the boys further forward are not looking back over their shoulders all the time. Davis to play in the middle. Edu out (defo no heart). Bedoya in early. Verhoek in asap Cuellar in but not if he doesn't want it. We are better away from home in Europe so lets hope this is true with this team. Keep the faith and don't give Timothy the satisfaction WATC and WATP

Agree0 Disagree0

The whole team was a complete joke We are only 1-0 down due the heroics of Shagger..... Bet he regrets signing that contract now. Whittaker is useless, Bougherra thinks he is Messi, Edu is worse than a man down, no positional awareness, he's heartless. McCulloch is a poor Keyal, Davis is trying hard but can't do it with all the mince around him. Ortiz looked a player when he came on but why do we persist on playing him at LM? Come on. I was appauled at Coisty's lack of tactical awareness and his rank rotten team selection.

Nice guy as he is, as a few previous posts have said, we need a manager, not a nice guy coach.

Agree0 Disagree0

26 Jul 2011 19:31:42
Goodwillie not on his way, he is going south to Villa for 1.8, million with add-ons. Verhoek going to Fiorentina. Rangers wasted 1.5mill on a £300K player in Wallace, Booogie is away and will walk out if Malmo win and no cover any more at the back apart from a possibilty of a German crack coming over from the 3rd Division Team watching the pre-Season Matches that were defeats with no goals.

Believable19 Unbelievable40

Aye septic they, re going away to learn how to play the game again but put the buckie away till next may.

Agree0 Disagree0

Go away you neil lennon follower and your wrong we beat blackpool and linfield in pre season and we scored in those 2 games get your facts right before you post rubbish

Agree0 Disagree0

Just been informed by my mate who is a manager in one of the casinos in glasgow that david goodwillie will be a rangers player by tomorrow happy days ahead

Agree0 Disagree0

I must admit straight away I'm from the other side but I just wonder are all you guys REALLY REALLY all looking forward to signing goodwillie? or is just hope that he can do enough ? I really dont think that the guy is good enough, what do you say?
marty, honest answers now

Agree0 Disagree0

A casino manager? yeah cuz thats a credible source... i hope yer right though

Agree0 Disagree0

This is for the guy who posted that goodwillie is on his way to villa must be a celtic fan and worried that rangers will sign goodwillie as i think he will be great to partner jelivic and for what he said about wallace he was one of the best players on the park tonight for his first game in a rangers jersey got to give him credit lets be real take the money for bougie as the guys not intrested and to me he wants to move on?

Agree0 Disagree0

Haha, another deluded jungle jim posting. I take it you are some sort of high powered football agent to be in the know like this? hahahhaha ;)

why bid 400,000 for a player already ours? why not use that 400,000 for goodwillie

Believable15 Unbelievable6

Because we need him th noo mcculloch an edu r sh*te

Agree0 Disagree0

He is coming in january. We made the bid so he comes now. The point is our midfield

Agree0 Disagree0

Ano they are but 1 of them will play regardless, so buy goodwillie, play him upfront with jela, play naisy right, move davis in the middle and drop either edu or mcculloch. probaly edu, then in six months you have a player for free

Believable17 Unbelievable6

26 Jul 2011 18:18:35
From what i gather rangers are wanting to make two major signings in the winter transfer window but thats pending rangers getting into the champions league. The 10/11 million that comes with the group stages will be given to ally as long as he buys players who will sign long term contracts with them(5 year deals)

Believable3 Unbelievable17

26 Jul 2011 18:12:11

Agree0 Disagree0

What a lot of pi5h wouldnt give 2million for Goodwille but would pay 3 for Baros wise up.

Agree0 Disagree0

Agree0 Disagree0

26 Jul 2011 17:22:01
vorhoek is in the last year of his contract den hagg wont let him leave for free, they missed out on cl football even though they had thier best season for god knows how long, although id value him at around 3m im sure we could get him for about half that- we need him though and our bid hasnt been rejected yet, i doubt we have the 6m it would take to get carlos, wesley and david goodwillie and then the wages to, heres to hope though ive heard boughies bid will be upped to around £3m? (his deals in the last year to) maybe he s where the money would come from

Believable7 Unbelievable10

The sale of bougherra

Agree0 Disagree0

The bid for Bougie was only £1.6 mil not the £2.6 mil that some thought

Agree0 Disagree0

£1.6m or £2.6m is that not a really bad price for a really good footballer ??

rangers new signing to come

wesley verkoach sp ? - 1.5m
albert crusat- 500k
chris eagles- 2m

out
maurice edu- 2.5m
fleck- loan

Believable3 Unbelievable23

Eagles is on the verge of a move to bolton for 3 million

Agree0 Disagree0

Why would we sign Eagles for £2m when he's just went to Bolton?

Agree0 Disagree0

Eagles is going to bolton FACT

Agree0 Disagree0

Would love us to get albert crusat, think he would be fantastic in the spl, the pace on the lad is frightening, dont know if we'd get him for 500k though

Andy

Agree0 Disagree0

£2.5m for edu.....id carry him alway to the club that would gives us that for him although i dont think a def mid role is his best at all, maybe with a stronger def he could be given a more advanced role

Agree0 Disagree0

Don't think we'll sell Edu. For some reason Mcoist rates him as walter did. Unfortunately.

Agree0 Disagree0

Hold up a minute here where did the 2.5mil for Edu come from? Personally i would have this deal signed and delivered but its a non starter as no1 with half a brain would pay 2.5mil for that plum.. We would be lucky 2 find a club 2 give the guy away for free 2..

Agree0 Disagree0

Wat edu have u bn watchin if u think we can get 2.5mil for him i wudnt even pay 250,000 for him hes useless we'd prob play better without him and have 10 men on the park

Agree0 Disagree0

Edu can go for free. "Super Ally" is accomodating him and to be honest he is no better than poor. Have no rumours and this is only my opinion but I have been a season ticket holder for 16 yrs and expect better than Edu

Anybody in the Cooper suite tonight at the match look out for an invited guest... a certain Mr Goodwillie

Believable3 Unbelievable25

Aye coz hes a rangers fan dosent mean he will sign for us and i doubt he will acctually be there

Agree0 Disagree0

How do you know this m8 ?

Agree0 Disagree0

He would be playing with fire if he attended as an invited guest of RFC. Maybe a Player gave him a ticket but dont read anything into that.

Agree0 Disagree0

If a fee has not been agreed with dundee utd could that not be looked upon as tapping up?

Agree0 Disagree0

Unless we have had a bid excepted or been given permission to speak to him a doubt he will be there as an INVITED GUEST

Agree0 Disagree0

If ur a liar il be on here later to pound you son il be there tonight.

Agree0 Disagree0

Do u get the guestlist for the Cooper suite every game ya diddy?

Agree0 Disagree0

As long as there was no talks about signing him tonight if he is there as a guest, then it wont be seen as tapping up as there is nothing to stop any team inviting anyone as a special guest.... just might not be the most respectful thing to do to dufc tho.

Just head from reliable source that luka modric is coming on loan to rangers once he signs for chelsea apparently villas boas wants to toughin him up, and see's the SPL as the perfect practice ground heard it here first {Ed047's Note - I'm only posting to let people see what you guys put me through. They'd probably send him to the SAS to toughen him up rather than send him to the SPL

Believable6 Unbelievable32

Most ridiculous rumour I've heard all summer, did u escape from shutter island mate? Stop talkin bulls**t

Agree0 Disagree0

LMAO that is completely off the scale. What a walloper {Ed047's Note - I don't know, I think he'll fit in well next to Fabregas when he arrives

Agree0 Disagree0

Do us all a favour and pour creosote over your keyboard. (and Ed, I laughed out loud at the thought of you having a 'bang your head against the screen moment.') {Ed047's Note - I think I need to post a 'wish list' team soon - of course Modric would be captain

Yeah a so called £30 milion player coming to play in spl, get a grip

The Wesley Verhoek bid will be rejected, but i think we'll put in another bid between 1.75mil and 2.5mil.
and hopefully it will be accepted

(AND REMEMBER THIS IS JUST MY OPINION)

Darn RFC1 ....+++++++....

Believable12 Unbelievable8

Ok so if ure correct then why the f*** dont we just make the first bid to be 1.75m and between 2.5m instead of 1m and wasting everyones time

Agree0 Disagree0

Because Mr White Is stuck-up and is very tight with his money and for every player we go for he will try and get the lowest price possible.

Darn RFC1

Agree0 Disagree0

So far, for every transfer target, we have come in with a low initial offer, i don't know why these offers are so low when clubs, mostly, have quoted us a reasonable price, our offers are WAY off, i assume this is some new policy whyte has implemented and can see, at the end of the window, whyte issuing a statement along the lines of "we tried".

Agree0 Disagree0

Yeah i agree darn he is stuck upbut the offers he is putting in is just a joke when dundee utd have said time and time again they wont sell goodwillie for any less than 2m and we still put in bids of 1.5m+ add ons wtf is wrong with whyte if he dosent want to pay the 2m then just stop making stupid bids that wont be accepted

Agree0 Disagree0

Why do we continue to embarrass ourselves with ridiculous offers i understand not wanting to go in too high so why don't we get close to what people are looking for so we can come to an agreement quicker. These days there is usually 2 or more clubs in for a player & everybody seems to be able to offer higher transfer fees & better wages {Ed047's Note - Totally agree. Bid lower but within realistic boundaries. It is embarrassing.

Agree0 Disagree0

Yeah i agree darn he is stuck upbut the offers he is putting in is just a joke when dundee utd have said time and time again they wont sell goodwillie for any less than 2m and we still put in bids of 1.5m+ add ons wtf is wrong with whyte if he dosent want to pay the 2m then just stop making stupid bids that wont be accepted

hearts said they wanted 3m for wallace and we got him for 1.5m so i dont really see the problem with bidding low to start with if it saves us some money

Agree0 Disagree0

I agree with u pal.

Agree0 Disagree0

I would pay whatever it takes for this guy within reason - he looks the real deal and is the type of player we have not had since the days of Laudrup. Would tear up the SPL with his pace / power.

Agree0 Disagree0

No problem with bid low to save money by these bids r all embarrassingly low

Agree0 Disagree0

Ed can you prove me right or wrong but I was sure that dundee utd valued goodwillie at 1 million last season or have I caught what Mr Whyte has got getplayersascheapaspossiblitis.
btw not taking the p*ss out of Mr Whyte as I do think he'll come through for us by the end of august

Believable16 Unbelievable9

Agree0 Disagree0

Sir?Where did that come from, grow up

Agree0 Disagree0

Where have they done this? I can't see it anywhere. No saying they haven't just cant see it.

Agree0 Disagree0

Reported that apology is restricted to "if he was offended." Rangers should tell them to make an unreserved apology or keep their mics at home. All we want is even handed treatment but it appears the BBC are too small to right their wrongs.

Agree0 Disagree0

Reply to 2nd post - If ur a Rangers fan u should call him sir cos of what he did for this club. Reply to 3rd post - It's on the rangers website and will be announced later on the BBC website. Personally I completely agree with the 4th comment, it was hardly an apology.

All u have done here is print players we have been linked with & said coisty's hitlist. Ur not exactly saying anything any rangers fan hasn't heard before.

Agree0 Disagree0

Thats because i'm being realistic about the players we actually have a chance of signing unlike others on here. by the way just heard chris eagles is on verge of signing for bolton for around 1.2 million. think he would have been different class up here. another descent player slipped away

1 million bid for Wesley Verhoek

Believable17 Unbelievable9

Embarassing bid.

Agree0 Disagree0

Less than half the asking price. Why bother putting a bid in that will never be accepted. It's a waste of everyones time.

Agree0 Disagree0

Agreed. No way they get him for that price. Another player lost?

Agree0 Disagree0

Agree, silly offer, but although it looks like there has been an offer i have my doubts if 1ml is correct.

Agree0 Disagree0

AYE AND£2 BID FOR MESSI

Agree0 Disagree0

Hopefully we will be updated at tonight's game on the tannoy system about moves for Goodwillie and Verhoek. I think the club needs to do this to give the fans some idea of where we are at. If it is a 1 million pound bid then i agree its a waste of everyone's time and may stop Ado Den Haag entering further discussions with rangers. Would also love to see Dorin Goian paraded in front of the home crowd on the field of play tonight prior to kick off to show that Rangers are still a club buying players to improve the team and for the fans. The money we earn, save and pay for season tickets should be accumulated and added to any transfer budget we have as it is the excitement of a new era and new faces along with continued success that will keep us bears on top of those who shall not be named.

Agree0 Disagree0

What source are u getting this from ?

Agree0 Disagree0

The 1milion bid is just to see where his club are at with him to enter negotiations a think wee will soon agree terms with his club but wages no sure what he is on

I personally always with good reason trusted BBC news as it has always seemed truthful to me. I am however starting to wonder if that faith in them has been mis-placed as since the emergence of the new laws regarding sectarianism etc have come to the fore it would appear that the broadcasters have taken sides in what is a strange move for a company which is famed world wide for its impartiality with regard to this subject. It does look like that Rangers fc have become a scapegoat for this situation recently and I would point out in my mind this is far from the truth- Celtic fc are by common knowledge affiliated to the same sectarianism in their own unique way and do have a stance of being diometrically opposed to Rangers on the common issues which surround both of these clubs, and nobody press or other seems to want to criticise the celtic input , which I find totally disgusting in essence Im a scot and like the rest of you scots- this dispute is part of the culture which we have to live with and I cant say either sides activities have played much of a part in my life..obviously it did and still does seem to be out of control in Ireland which I think has been down to the way governments of our time have handled it but there has not and will never be a second Ireland I dont think any true scots will let that happen we all live with each other here in harmony and its only the people in the media trying to stir things up which can cause civil unrest and the press and media have a responsibility to the nation to practice common sense and balance in their reporting of such matters and I think its being blown out of all proportion and with that the people who are reporting this subject in the wrong way-they should be closed down just like the news of the world was recently- phone tapping , racism, sectarianism has to be shown in a balanced way and should not reflect personal views or interests held by the reporters who do the reporting they all have to be made accountable for to have credability with the general public the BBC needs to get its act together now and certainly an apology should be given to alastair mcoist with regard to that interview.

Believable22 Unbelievable7

It is not just Rangers that suffer from this.Celtic are also portrayed in poor light by the media, it is just sensationalistic headline hunting, have a read at this on the Celtic site www.celticrumours.co.uk/celtic-news/celtic-news213.php

Agree0 Disagree0

I would advise all Rangers and Celtic fans to complain about this to the BBC. Overwhelm them with a response to such shoddy and false news reporting. The way they portrayed that could have incited violence

Agree0 Disagree0

BULLDUNG to the second post there is a clear bias against Rangers if just under 100 of our fans had been arrested or evicted from a ground in Austrailia it would have been in the press for weeks article is in David Leggats blog Leggoland2.blogspot.com

Agree0 Disagree0

Guys in work who were at the game on sunday and others watching on tv, clearly heard and were embarassed buy celts fans singing ira songs not a peep as usual.

Agree0 Disagree0

Tht post is spot on my friend for the past year or so i have sat and listened even watched as the bbc persist on makin rangers fc as the bad guys but celtic get off scot free am not sayin tht rangers fans are angels but celtic fans are just as bad infact on sunday i watched the hibs vs celtic game and even before k.o fans from the celtic section we already signing IRA songs now this i find inapropriate (excuse the spellin tryin to hide from the boss) we will see tonight if fans of rangers do the same

Agree0 Disagree0

Listen to yourselfs, you sound more like sceptic fans bleating about the press and that, grow a pair FFS

Agree0 Disagree0

Ye want that published there pal lol

Agree0 Disagree0

Listen I am a well rounded man who try's his best to approach life with a certain level headedness and a common sense approach. I will have a laugh like the next man and wind up my Celtic loving mates at any given opportunity often with fairly outrageous comments. All of which is taken as it was intended because they are my mates and we understand each other.

In relation to the BBC its interesting as I have made several complaints about several different matters all of which portray Rangers as the main culprits in sectarianism and bigotry. The reporting is always unbalanced and often placed squarely on the Rangers site ( of the BBC site ) Just recently a report relating to police tackling bigotry was solely on the Rangers site and nowhere else. This type of reporting should be unlawful. There have been too many reports to say this was an over-site or just a stupid mistake. On the 6'Oclock news reports have taken place outside Ibrox discussing sectarianism, not Celtic Park or any other park Just Ibrox. Again this is dangerous and should be unlawful. To take the chaps comments above me, I do not wish to sound like a Celtic fan and come across at all paranoid. However for me there is clearly an agenda to destroy, where possible, Rangers reputation.

WATP
GDog

Agree0 Disagree0

GDog couldnt agree more and there are also issues with other so called anti-sectarian organisations such as NIL BY MOUTH who dont seem to adhere to rules such as The Data Protection Act for example the 4 hearts fans that complained about celtic fans after the trouble at Tyncastle all received letters from Celtic FC (who had done nothing wrong in sending letters to these people) but the question has to be asked how did they get their personal details and who else has there personal details

Agree0 Disagree0

The BBC like all left wing organisations is unable to tell the truth about any subject and manipulates issues to suit their own agenda. The best thing that could happen for the taxpayer is to privatise them and take away any entitlement to a portion of the licence fee.At the moment it is protected employment for their staff but that would soon change when people started switching off and they had to stand on their own two feet.

Agree0 Disagree0

Who cares?. bbc were just trying to make ally look flippant with regards to the sectarian chants and such like but who cares?. ally will conduct himself properly whereas neil lennon will continue to make a fool of himself. both sets of fans sing there bile. rangers have got uefa pounding them but thats only because celtic cant get in to euroupe to sing there songs. in my oppinion neil lennons a sad wee man with no dignity a sore looser and a narrow minded schoolboy that the press feels sorry for. aaaaaaaaaww wee shame.

Agree0 Disagree0

I care very much What has happened here is that the BBC have admitted to doctoring an interview that did not happen as suggested. It has been deliberately cut and edited to paint a different picture This is simply outrageous

Rangers have tabled an offer for Dutch winger Wesley Verhoek.

ADO Den Haag ace Verhoek has attracted the interest of a host of clubs this summer and Rangers are hoping to win the race for his signature.

Nottingham Forest expressed an interest in signing the 24-year-old, but were unable to agree a fee with Den Haag.
Gers boss Ally McCoist is thought to be an admirer of Verhoek and he has firmed up his interest with a bid for the wide-man.

Rangers are thought to have tabled a bid in the region of £1million for Verhoek as McCoist looks to add him to his squad before the close of the transfer window.

Believable22 Unbelievable8

Surely forest could afford 1m+? ive honestly got no hope at all in gettin this lad for 1m.cue bids from cardiff and ce*tic.

BBC sport have removed the story stating Dundee UTD rejected a 2nd bid for Goodwillie. . As they were the only media company reporting this it leads me to believe that we either never made an offer and the story was guff . . Or there is some substance to the story only that it being rejected was mis-reported

Love this site More popular than you could know in Rangers circles... I'm pretty sure some of my colleagues have posted in the past as there has been some very factual info Here is my wee bit... Rangers Goodwillie bid IS what United were asking. I say were as that is the problem. As of yesterday the more clubs involved, the more the price seems to move Rangers will not go higher. Goodwillie is very keen to come but will not be allowed to move unless it's to one of the highest bidders. Carlos Cuellar himself is the the only reason he is not at Rangers already. Nothing to do with his injury, Rangers want him tied up ASAP. Cuellar wants more money than we are offering. I don't know what that is nor do I know if there is much more to offer but from what I understand we WILL increase our offer if we beat Malmo... Weiss is a no go. Bartley here in August. No idea who, but 3 or four wingers are being chased as a priority, I do know one is with a UK club

Blucorner

Believable11 Unbelievable7

The Dundee Utd chairman has stated 2 million is the asking price. Why would anyone pay more all they need to do is meet the asking price & use the rest to top any wage deal that we are willing to pay. If he does move the goalposts we should walk & find someone else but as it stands i believe 2 million is a fair price

Agree0 Disagree0

Don't tell me that the uk based winger is Chris Burke

Agree0 Disagree0

Beating Malmo has no bearing on anything, if we dont get past the round after Malmo there will be no huge Champions league windfall and therefore no point to invest heavily. The point is the money made in the SPL is worthless so unless we are in th CL then we would be throwing money away - not a way to run a business, which is what we must do

Agree0 Disagree0

Come on Rangers pull your finger out and get serious about bids, we're becoming the laughing stock. What will players think of our value of them if these are the offers we make.....

Agree0 Disagree0

Verhoek is different gravy by the way, i'd take him over Goody in a second.......there is no way however that we can get him for 1m.......wasn't an 8m euro deal agreed with Napoli only a few months ago and collapsed right at the final stages......the boy is sensational though.

Agree0 Disagree0

We believe Miller is worth more or less the same as a player that is 24 years of age and rated as the best player in the Dutch league... what are we on. In addition we believe that some of our latest signings are worth more..... and what have they done and what awards have they received? Time to get real Rangers.... I, and I'm sure the majority of the fans, can only hope that the offer speculation is false and that if we have made a offer it is at least realistic.

Whyte has nothing to do with transfers. Calm down its all part of the process.
If you went to a used car dealers and the guy said the car you wanted to buy was 2 grand wouldnt you try to bargin with him? Well thats 2 grand, when its in millions theres a weeee bit more bargining involved - MUNICH

Agree0 Disagree0

Whyte will not splash the cash until he has a new manager. ally isnt his choice and wee billy davies will be in by xmas with a warchest of £8million. too little too late imho

Agree0 Disagree0

Yes this is true I just saw it on ssn but I don't think we'll get him 4 such a small amount of money. Also I agree tht we need to sign Goodwillie so step up and pay Mr Whyte

Agree0 Disagree0

He should be trying to sign both ya muppet....verhoek will be a different class in the spl.....badcock wont win the spl on his own will he?

Agree0 Disagree0

Were you seeing this? cant see it on ssn or anywhere esle {Ed019's Note - if you locate the scottish premier leeague page and click on the rangers crest icon, there is an article in there

Agree0 Disagree0

Need to bid at least 1.75 m to have any chance of getting him, , another bites the dust me thinks, , glum face

Agree0 Disagree0

Would guess if we are after him then Weiss possible return is a no no. {Ed019's Note - dont think weiss was ever a possibility, Mancini doesnt rate scottish football.

No way, We have not got a hope in hell of signing verhoek if were offering 1 million, As an avid follower of dutch football i know ajax, psv, and twente are sniffing about him,

Goodwillie will only sign for someone else if he is 100% certain rangers aren't pursuing him anymore or definitely unwilling to pay what i see as a bargain for a 22 year old who is the natural replacement for k.miller at international level aswell. He can only get better. Rangers are still 50/50 whether or not to match the asking price. Expect it to be decided by the weekend.
I said the cuellar transfer would drag on till after the malmo game and it could easily drag on until he is almost fit. He is happy enough to sit and get 40k a week just now and not play rather than sit and get 25k and not play. Makes sense? It is also a waste of wages from rangers point of view. But I do believe that story will go on for a few more weeks yet. Goian and bougy will fill the gap for the timebeing before boug leaves for around 3.5mill later in the window.
Another signing will be made before the Chelsea game expected to be a winger.

A couple loan signings near the end of the transfer window will be made aswell

Ho do you think it's a bargain....Goodwillie is not bad.... but that's it.....Jamie Murphy kept him on the bench for the u21s, and Murphy is a big big gers man

Rangers make 1million bid for the Den Hag winger, Van hoeking (spelling) source SSN

Believable10 Unbelievable5

If so... thats pretty embarassing... The price on his head has been £2-3.5 million ever since we started looking at him. Nott Forrest have put in offers in that region and been rebuffed, is Whyte on a mission to piss off the chairmans of every team in Europe?

Agree0 Disagree0

Saw this myself on SSN.

I'd be very surprised if ADO accepted 1M.

What is with all these low offers we are dishing out ?

Agree0 Disagree0

I havent seen the 1 million being quoted? but if it is then we should be buying him now. fantastic player, and a month ago aston villa were linked with him. reports in holland are saying he has stalled on contract negotiations with den haag as he enters the final year of his contract. and also not that long ago on his twitter he said "nottingham forest - good club. Glasgow Rangers - dream club" or along those lines.
Snap him up Mr Whyte

GB

Agree0 Disagree0

Can't see it. Stop playing FIFA 11.

Agree0 Disagree0

Time for Rangers to start getting serious about bids, I understand the whole concept of negotiating but with bids so low there is no room to negotiate. We know what these clubs have indicated, and we know they may accept less at the end of day, but not less than 50% of what they are looking for. Let's get real and stop wasting everyone's time. Rangers are not only making fools of themselves but annoying everyone, including fans in the process.... Why should we continue to pay to watch a team that performed as they did on Saturday with no real decent signings on the horizon.

Agree0 Disagree0

It's Wesley Verhoek ... no Van in it. lol i think we'll eventually get him, but it WONT be for £1m lol

I've just been informed that Rangers major flagship signing is about to happen this week.

He's on the look out for a new club afer leaving Hercules after their relegation. He's looking for a new challenge and will sacrifice a drop in the wages that he's been used to in his career which has alerted Ally.

I think he could do a job for us, and has been linked with us before ..watch this space ..

as David Trezeguet joins the Scottish Champions {Ed047's Note - how old is he now?

Believable5 Unbelievable21

He is 33. I hope this isn't true.

Agree0 Disagree0

Aye linked to us 15 year ago, more like paddleboat signing, watch what space the one between your ears, back to bed and eatplenty of chicken broth thats meant to be good for fevers

Agree0 Disagree0

Former France striker David Trezeguet is ready to return to play in his native country after leaving Spanish club Hercules.

He told L'Equipe: ''I made a point with my family about my situation. The conclusion is that it may be time for me to return. Today I want to return to France.''

Agree0 Disagree0

news says he wants back to the French League

Agree0 Disagree0

Haha news have it on good authority that he wants to go back to france so behave

Agree0 Disagree0

A 34 year-old striker? No thanks

Agree0 Disagree0

Hercules forward David Trezeguet has admitted that he will do everything he can to ensure that he will be playing in France next season, after seeing his transfer to Napoli break down

Agree0 Disagree0

Of course it's not true. The flagship signings are Goodwillie and Cuellar. End of.

Agree0 Disagree0

33 years young and heading back to France - possibly Monaco

Agree0 Disagree0

Thers only 1 player we want from hercules and that would have been Drenthe but that aint gna happen. So you can take ur David Trezeguet and make it a David Goodwillie lol

Juventus striker David Trezeguet is being tipped to join Scottish Premier League side Glasgow Rangers, according to Tuttosport. The report suggests the Scottish club are sniffing around for the hitman.

Agree0 Disagree0

Trez-a-goal would score for fun in the spl even if he is 33...he is head and shoulders above kenny miller and you lot wanted him back....he would score upwards of 30 goals a season and would be vital in tight european games where u only get a small amount of chances...he is lethal infront of goal

Agree0 Disagree0

Youth Policy Well in motion

Agree0 Disagree0

BRING BACK GIVARSH

Agree0 Disagree0

I think tht news is a lot of rubbish a wud not want a 33 yr old striker when we can get a young striker who is just as good ie goodwillie lets keep our fingers crossed anyhwz and hope we get him. Lookin foward to the game the nyt MON THE GERS

Agree0 Disagree0

No Rangers fan is expecting a "marquee", "flagship" or any other descriptive signing. So please stop sellick fans its getting boring.

Goodwillie just as good as trezegeut.... big trez has won hundreds of top prizes in football....goodwillie is good yes but not quite trezegeut class

Wigan could sign Motherwell s Jamie Murphy to replace Charles N Zogbia Source: espn on the move

Believable20 Unbelievable6

Not surprised at that he in my opinion is twice the player Goodwillie is and reportedly half the price

N'Zogbia is a left winger, thought Murphy was an striker maybe we should out a bid in too, he could solve our left midfield problem

Just been told this ( and its on Celtic Rumours also) a MAJOR investor is putting £45m into Celtic taking a percentage of Dermot Desmonds share money will be used to bring WORLD CLASS players to Celtic over next 2 transfer windows You heard it here first Impeccable source {Ed047's Note - why don't you read the post and replies on the Celtic site before posting this? I think the Celtic ed had a greater laugh at this than I did

WHO GIVES A FLYING F **K ?

We will know by the end of today where goodwillie is going to likely end up, no clubs are going to hang around with him now, unfortuantely I do not think the club he will end up at is going to be Rangers.

Yes he supports the gers but he knows if he goes to Glasgow his life will be totally restricted as he brings so much baggage around him, and all scottish fans know who he is.

With upto 10 clubs interested in him, Rangers need to decide if they going to offer £2million tonight or not, Dundee United not accepting a penny less now they know teams are interested from England.

Expect multiple bids from England (including Blackpool) to be accepted by the end of the day.

Also expect a further transfer to be almost complete by the end of the week. A good win over Malmo tonight could also go a long way too making us sign someone else.

Believable4 Unbelievable10

If wat your sayin is true with up to ten teams going in for him etc , av only seen that bpool are ready to meet uniteds asking price of 2m then a dont even think 2m would be enough from us as will turn into a bidding war. DEL

Agree0 Disagree0

You are very in the know, where do you get your inside info ???????? Goodwillie will sign for us, and he will need to start to grow up. The boy deserves a big move and a chance to prove he can handle it, both on and off the filed. Only my opinion trooper. 4inarow

Agree0 Disagree0

The above guy is right. He WILL sign for us. It's common knowledge through mutual friends. He only has to say no to Blackpool and he will force United's hand to accept our bid (which will be near the £2m mark)

Agree0 Disagree0

He can say no however to blackpool and dundee united wont in anyway shape or form be pushed to accept to his demands. Unless he had written in his contract (very doubtful) then unless we stump up the £2million, goodwillie will not be a player for us by end of the week. Murray davidson however is a likely signing within a week. Hope im wrong as would love to see goodwillie partner jelavic AND lafferty in a 3 pronged attack. Imagine the celtic fear then

Agree0 Disagree0

In the name of god, stop this hero worship of a laddie from Dundee utd, he's hardly Maradona. Yes he's a prospect, but nothing more. Id far rather we went for someone like le fondre.

Agree0 Disagree0

Just my opinion but I like mccoists signing targets all young Scottish half decent players(Wallace, davidson, goodwillie) that can Improve under the right guidance but to sign these players mr Whyte is going to have to stop putting in terrible offers and to sign goodwillie he's going to half to eat a slice of humble pie bcos the only way we will get him is to pay the £2 million that Whyte says he isn't worth personally of take a risk on him cos I think him and jelavic given time to gel would be a dangerous strike force

Agree0 Disagree0

Is there not some rule coming in to play soon that you have to have so many home nation players (Scottish ov) in your team? I think European games?

Agree0 Disagree0

If i was being realistic Id have to say forget goodwillie get the flying dutchman verhoek as its been said he, s twice the player goodwillie is and if the owner is going to pay out that money for D/G hes as well going the whole hog or pig however one sees it for V/H they are better trained than our guys as well we are told.

Agree0 Disagree0

Althouh goodwillie is a good player, why dont we spend less money get jamie murphy from motherwell as i feel we can develop him into a prolific goalscorer

Agree0 Disagree0

I agree with young Scottish targets too, good sell on value if they are a success and should know what is required in spl and at a club the size of the CHAMPS

In fairness Goian isn't very quick either. Still got Bougherra though.

Agree0 Disagree0

Goain aint a quick player

Agree0 Disagree0

It worries me mate aye. I also have nightmares about McCulloch and Edu in centre Mid again Our best player (arguably) is Davis and he should be played in centre Mid, He's wasted out on the right. {Ed047's Note - What about Ness or Hutton in the middle?

Agree0 Disagree0

Yeah Ed i like the idea of either Ness or Hutton in there as long as Davis is there aswell. I hate seeing Davis being played out of position. I don't think McCulloch has the legs anymore and Edu looks lost at the moment.

Agree0 Disagree0

Cuellar will still sign, as will another CB before the window closes.

Agree0 Disagree0

Would Thompson's reputed 2m valuation of Goodwillie, reported on the beeb etc. no have been before the charges were dropped?

Over-paying for Wallace might have made a bit of a rod for our back. If I were Thompson I'd be after at least twice what hearts scooped for their full back contracted for only a further year for a forward.

I'd he interested to hear the size of the second offer they've rejected. If recent history, bar Wallace, is anything to go by I imagine it's another "low ball"

"A host of English clubs are interested"- it's certainly a sad day when you're no sure if we can compete with a blackpool or a reading and clubs of that ilk for a rangers man.

Mr fergus whyte is havin a laugh bidding 1 million for goodwillie, he paid 1.5 million for an average left back, why not pay 2 million for a crackin striker who supports the club. To the guy that says cardiff are tryin 2 muck us up that is utter rubbish, its fergus whyte 2 blame 4 offerin buttons for the players.

Believable10 Unbelievable7

1.5ml for an average left back?? the lad will be a real good buy, rumours say 2ml offered for Edu, and we knock back 1.2ml for Whittaker, i will let you be the judge.

Agree0 Disagree0

Do you not remember? We will not be held to ransom for any player. It all comes down to his contract, I think David Goodwillie has a year left on his contract and because of that, he's only worth no more than £1.5 million.

So much for our wild card for the tie against Malmo, this could be a Kaunas all over again (although Malmo are a better team) & if we do get knocked out, then we can't say to potential targets "we can offer CL football". We SHOULD have had players in before now & registered & yes i know if we do beat Malmo over 2 legs we can register players for the next round but that's a big IF.

Believable19 Unbelievable3

What you don't know is that goian is our wildcat signing as he can play this evening as long as a work permit is secured before kick off , as he was signed before the deadline last night so fingers crossed that the home office comes up with the goods this evening

Transfer targets

Cuellar -2M
Bartley - Loan/1-2M
Juhasz - 2-3M

Bedoya - less than 400k
Davidson - 500k
Verhoek - 2M
Estigarribia - 1.5-2.5M
Weiss - Loan
Templeton - 2M

Murphy - 750k
Goodwillie - 2M

We will sign one out of the three defenders or 2 if Bougy is sold. The money raised will be put towards other targets

In midfield we need a box to box cm who can break up play but also start up attacks. David Vaughan would have been great but maybe if Davidson is given a chance he could prove to be a shrewd signing. We need a left winger desperately preferably a left footed one because I don't think Wylde is consistent enough yet.

Up front I think either would be good but with Goodwillie's case being dropped it is looking more likely to be him but we face lots of competition for two of Scotland's best young forwards.

Believable9 Unbelievable6

Better move fast?? As if Weiss would go to Burnley..

Agree0 Disagree0

Dont know why everyone keeps talking about signing Weiss he only had two good games for us last season and both were against motherwell. It's probably cause of the hating celtic stuff. Could get much better players for the money it would cost for him

the manky mob have even made up a song about rangers losing players and ridiculous offers, i was ready to punch one singing it yesterday.

Agree0 Disagree0

If we are going to try get the player we should at least be making reasonable bids.
If all we wont to spend is 1MILL then we should be going for Jamie Murphy who kept Goodwillie out the Under 21s and has a cracking knack of scoring goals in Europe a better temperament and in my humble opinion a better player

Agree0 Disagree0

What are those figures meant to mean ??

Agree0 Disagree0

Why are there disagrees (3).

Read a f***ing website. IT WAS REJECTED.

With Dorin Goian in the door hopefully Rangers will begin to step things up and address the obvious problems we have. Firstly, David Goodwillie. As reported in BBC Scotland this evening as many as 10 clubs are interested in him. If I were Ally I would be knocking on Mr. Whyte's door and very politely suggesting he gets the cash out and signs Goodwillie up and fairly quickly as a host of English clubs are weighing up moves. He is being advised to get out of Scotland and move South however given the fact he is a Rangers fan, that could have a big bearing on his decision. Goodwillie and his advisors will meet with Stephen Thompson tomorrow to sort out his future and decide his next step. Blackpool, Cardiff City, Ipswich, Nott'm Forest and Reading are all believed to be the most serious contenders to rival us others like the Liverpools are monitoring his situation. Expect Bougherra to be sold on if we can agree terms with Cuellar, if not Lewiyaha could return with a majorly improved bid which would give us money for more investment in the departments required i.e 2 CB's, 1 CM, 2 Wingers and a Striker.
Do you have any indication as to where Goodwillie will end up and do you think we will cash in on Bougherra?

Believable6 Unbelievable6

The fact that his Da & his sister were in the Rangers end when we won the league at Tannadice in 2007... and on the official SFA website, his profile lists a certain Alastair McCoist as his hero and Rangers as the team he supported

I'd put money on him being a Ger for the St Johnstone match

Just heard from a friend of mine close to Ian holloway, that he has asked the chairman to better the asking price for goodwillie Rumours is they going to offer 2.5million...i think they mean business.

Believable7 Unbelievable10

Too bad that Goodwillie decides where he's going eh?

Move along Timothy

Agree0 Disagree0

Even if it is true Goodwillie can decide to say no and wait for Rangers to come and get him

Agree0 Disagree0

Why would they offer 500k more? they want 2m, paying more won't make up the players mind... Hopefully rangers will

Agree0 Disagree0

Blackpool could offer £5 million for him if they wanted, but if the player doesn't want to go, then he won.t. Look at naismith with the mancky mob.

Agree0 Disagree0

No he doesn't, Dundee United need to accept clubs offers before he has any say in the deal, just like Kenny Miller, do any of you actually know anything about how football transfers work. If Blackpool offer £2.5m and Rangers offer £2m then the Blackpool offer will be accepted and Goodwillie won't even get a chance to talk to Rangers, again just like Kenny Miller. D'UH...some people on here are so thick it is actually embarrassing the rest of us.

Agree0 Disagree0

The offer might be accepted but goodwillie can then say no Blackpool I don't want to sign then what will Dundee united do they don't want an unhappy player and they need the 2m so they will have all but no choice to accept rangers offer, your right some people are so stupid you

So Blackpool offer £2.5m, our bid of £2m gets rejected, that means he HAS to go to Blackpool?

He can say get tae f*ck, accept Rangers bid or I'll sit out the last year of my contract and yous will get f*ck all

and when we bid £2m, it won't get rejected btw, thats how much his release clause is

The figure quoted (£2M) from Dundee Utd is the amount required to trigger the release clause in Goodwillie's contract. At that point Goodwillie is in control and at liberty to speak to anyone offering that amount. Dundee Utd are at liberty to accept an offer below that figure and then allow Goodwillie to talk terms. At the moment Rangers are playing a game of 'cat and mouse' but I think will ultimately have to pay £2M in some shape or form (up front, add ons etc) to get their man.

If DUFC want 2m+ for him they will get it. The club don't want to sell but if they have to do u think they will cut there own noses off to spite there face. its all to do with money, i suppose if miller wanted to come back to the mighty gers he could of told his club to accept the lower price.....im not a fan of your club but my colours are firmly nailed to the mast with this post.

Murray Davidson by the end of this week, certainty. Boughera will go later this week also and fair bit of the cash will be used for loan deal salaries, Bartley and perhaps Weiss.

Bartley im sure i heard was going to an english club with weiss, im pretty sure it's buy or nothing... unless we pay a silly loan fee

bbc are reporting that Rangers have had a second bid for Goodwillie rejected and that Blackpool are ready with a bid of 2million, meeting united's valuation. I think we definitely have to dig deep and make sure not to miss out on this one... especially after the weekends lacklustre performance.

You seriously think white will double his offer? no way. enjoy the 1st division david.x

Im getting a bit f***ing fed up with mccoist and whyte just pay the f***ing 2m f*** sake what is the point in putting in a bid of 1.5m plus add ons just pay 2m for f*** sake and if ure not going to pay it then stop f***ing moaning i want craig whyte to f*** off hes a tight arse c**t

Agree0 Disagree0

Re the last comment- How about you pay the 2 million for Goodie? I am fed up hearing so called "fans" complaining about not paying enough, Rangers are a business and they have to be ran within budgets or else we will end up back in the hole we were in we have no devine right to buy anyone, but if Whyte and Ally don't think they are worth anymore they won't pay it...we just have to trust them...or else go and support someone else

Agree0 Disagree0

Why the f*** should i go and support someone else because 1 man is making the club a laughing stock he wont pay 2m for goodie but he will pay 1.5m for wallace shut up yah idiot whyte hasnt got a clue what hes doing
