Uganda international midfielder Khalid Aucho has attracted interest from Scottish Premier League side Glasgow Rangers.

26 May 2016 00:41:49
Just googled this guy and wAtched a vid the level he is playing at looks honking and the council field down the road from me is in better condition than they play on!

26 May 2016 04:40:25
Kenya believe your source though?

I suppose if he joins us, he'll Camaroon to our level soon enough.

African hate puns like this, not sure why I use them.

26 May 2016 05:01:25
Yeh watched video's of games in Kenya, level of football looked poor, not worth a follow up.

26 May 2016 09:31:10
Most Africans that have been a success in Europe have played in these council parks in various African states they all start somewhere just because the lad plays there just now doesn't mean he doesn't have potential wanyama is an example of this played on council parks with grazing animals at the side now in the EPL.

26 May 2016 09:42:36
Looks alright to me strong in the tackle and good passer if he can play on poor pitches he might be worth a try. Warbs and MacP have been spot on so far with their previous buys.

26 May 2016 09:53:37
Did the smellies no get wanyama from roundabout there? Trust the magic hat and Frankie macparland.

26 May 2016 11:00:28
I didn't say he couldn't play football just mentioned he was playing at a poor level and wanted to highlight the atrocious state of the pitches if MW wants him then he will be welcomed.

26 May 2016 09:38:56
its Kenya, I really don't know what else you were expecting its no going to be champions league haha, but you never know he could be a diamond in the rough. a lot of great African players in the world you just need to find them.

25 May 2016 22:56:25
How many midfielders do we need.

25 May 2016 22:23:58
Heard today that the next one on the list to come in is a lad called Ben Pringle. Was on loan at Ipswich from Fulham. My source has been asked to find him accommodation in Glasgow, he also has no interest in football so no reason to make it up. Another midfielder to the books. Think we need to find a couple of centre halves as a priority.

26 May 2016 00:18:50
Ben Pringle is a left-winger and would be part of the front 3. So not really being singed to play as part of the midfield.

25 May 2016 23:42:47
think he's a winger like HF showed potential short of games and confidence crazy in England players can get forgot far to quick. Harry was rated 2-3 million at the start of last season, Pringle would be a quality signing for us.

26 May 2016 13:50:37
Seems like a typical signing for us. loads of potential but lost his way a bit. more concerning is the lack of activity in the centre half department. anyone else heard anything?

25 May 2016 18:11:19
DORRANS IS HAPPENING.

25 May 2016 18:40:13
Saw a photo of him at cup final, apparently when asked if he'll sign he just smiled and said we'll see.

25 May 2016 20:40:01
Family member is really pally with him and his brother he is on holiday the now but on Saturday he said nothing was happening, unless something has just st happened since Saturday.

25 May 2016 22:36:51
If we sign him this is the last midfielder we need, we really need two centre halfs, right back and a good finisher who will bang the goals in.

25 May 2016 22:50:46
And a keeper.

26 May 2016 00:22:49
Dorrans won't be signing for Rangers for two reasons:

1. Rangers play a 4-3-3 formation. That midfield three already has Holt, Halliday, Rossiter, Barton, Crooks, and Windass competing for places. The manger seems determined to go and get Kranjcar so that's 7 guys competing for 3 spots.

2. We'd need to pay Norwich a transfer fee. I'm guessing they'd want upwards of £1m and doubt we'd pay that with so much work needing done with the squad in other areas.

26 May 2016 07:03:14
I have a suspicion that crooks has been bought to play as a CB and Windass to join the front 3 playing as the floating CF. A guess, but we shall see.

26 May 2016 07:03:35
Windass and krancjar will be part of the front 3 I would imagine and crooks can play cb so really it's just Holt halliday Barton rossiter fighting for places and I would imagine Holt will be benched and no one knows if rossiter will be a stick on to start. dorrans would improve our team imo. so sign him if there is an option.

26 May 2016 10:39:00
Dorrans IS signing. Should be done by the weekend! Source is an SFA community coach who has given me good info before.

26 May 2016 16:18:17
Crooks hasn't played in defence se he was about 17 or 18. Kranjcar has spent most his career as a midfield playmaker so I highly doubt he'll deployed as a winger for Rangers. Windass played behind the striker in a 4-4-1-1 formation so again, an attacking central midfielder.

25 May 2016 15:51:20
Rangers and Leeds have both expressed an interest in Dundee's Greg Stewart.
Dundee are not wishing to sell him but have slapped a 1.5 mil price tag on his head due to the fact he has only 1 year left on his contract and would rather get a decent price for him rather than lose him for free next season.
Personally, I rate the guy highly, would take him to gers in a heartbeat.

25 May 2016 16:26:11
Wouldn't touch him, if we can persuade Barton to come to us, i'm sure we can attract a better standard of player than Greg Stewart.

25 May 2016 16:39:36
Where can you get £1.5m?

25 May 2016 17:45:02
I would test the water with 700k, no need to go any higher cause we could try get him on a pre contract in January and if we lose out on him it's no worries, we can find someone else.

25 May 2016 18:03:44
Another Internet troll! Enjoy another season in the championship.

25 May 2016 18:14:28
too expensive and not good value at that price. GS is a £300k-£400k player with 12 mths on contract. If Dundee can get £1.5m from Leeds should bite their arm off.

25 May 2016 19:36:35
Gloryhibs Don't you worry about us getting 1.5 million just you concern yourself with AT LEAST another year in the championship and with stokes Henderson and probably Cummings leaving who's going to get the goals to guide yous to promotion dagnall lol.

25 May 2016 22:23:42
3 years in the championship without liquidation, now that's got to hurt.

25 May 2016 10:17:21
Been hearing that Warbs will be off back down south. He's apparently struggling being apart from his wife and the unsavoury events at Hampden have compounded his desire to leave Glasgow. This is from someone who works for a prominent Glasgow newspaper. I'm hoping it proves to be false but thought I'd share what I was told.

25 May 2016 16:03:57
No way Barton would've signed if the gaffer was planning on leaving. Warbs is here for the season at least.

25 May 2016 16:16:39
I hope this isn't true.

25 May 2016 16:27:32
Tam Burns lol obviously a celtic fan trying to unsettle us Rangers fans with that ridiculous comment.

25 May 2016 16:31:22
No way is he leaving. all that work to get to spl then go? absoult nonsense. he will be abroad tying a deal or 2 up then go for a 2 week break.

25 May 2016 16:52:21
He signed a three year contract didn't he? I'm sure he is a man of his word and not a part timer.

25 May 2016 16:55:48
It was probably spiers.

25 May 2016 17:10:19
Someone called Tam Burns makes such a statement and we have to believe him! I am sure he realises that the unsavoury events that he witnessed on Saturday were not down to Rangers fans and less we have the misfortune of playing Hibs in the League Cup we will not have the problem of such thuggery at Ibrox except when we play Celtic. Rodgers will inevitably dislike the bile that spews from the stands at Celtic Park every second week so maybe he will only las a year and then he will roll out of Celtic and back to England well ahead of Warburton!

25 May 2016 17:12:42
The incident at Hampden will have disgusted him no doubt, and he would consider any decent offer, but let's face it, who is he going to go to that gives a bigger challenge? Big Club? Bigger Support? Bigger SORE HEED lol!?

The man is loyal to the core, he will see out his time here and if nothing else on the go might even stay longer if he gets the chance to test him self in Europe, and with BR over the road, a good battle will be on the cards between both clubs, he will want that fight and that challenge and will not want to be beaten, so I think we can rest assure that he will be about for a while yet!

25 May 2016 17:20:14
That's utter bull, warbs n weir are building a squad, please tell me how he could tempt players to sign long term then he leaves, pure whopper.

25 May 2016 17:44:26
Mark Warburton has got another 2 years contract, he's not going anywhere, Tam Burns yer info is defo wrong mate.

25 May 2016 17:05:21
Absolutely not stuz. Been on this site for years mate. The person who relayed this info reckons his heart hasn't been in it for a while, hence our poor form recently. I'll be gutted if true as we're onto a good thing with the man. The crux of it is, his wife is unhappy and its making him unhappy. Just what I was told.

{Ed033's Note - tam burns would appear to be a Rangers fan that has been on this site for years, albeit using different usernames over time.

25 May 2016 19:09:41
its an hour away on a plane to london and the guy could prob charter a private flight anytime!

a lot of footballers stay in the east/ west coast and commute in that time so i can't see a problem that way

plus listen to bartons interview when he call's him gaffer, i'm sure he wouldn't have come if the boss said ''hey i can't handle it here and i'm off so thanks for joining''

25 May 2016 19:15:57
He done an interview on itv at the start of May where he wad asked about the prospects of moving on and spoke about the fact that at Brentford he was around 4 years into a "big project" and had to leave and that now he's started another big project here and from the cheeky smile on his face as he answered, the impression I got from him is that he sees himself here for the long haul. No doubt the cup final will have had a negative impact but personally I really can't see much truth in this rumour.

25 May 2016 19:21:11
Tam burns told us all the other day joey Barton had signed for burnley.

25 May 2016 19:49:06
A mate in a prominent Glasgow paper. must be true.

25 May 2016 20:27:24
Is it not possible that he is spending time with his wife on holiday whilst he can before pre season starts he has most likely handed his transfer target in to whom ever deals with that and left them to it so the targets are in upon his return, just a theory though .

25 May 2016 20:41:47
He might be trying to push King about freeing some funds, as promised, because a bad season next year could see his career going backwards quickly.
Maybe King isn't as forthcoming as he promised.

25 May 2016 22:12:50
Memaself, King needs to free up whatever is needed. We all saw the need to have a top quality centre back, a top quality striker and another quality midfield player. It is not just Warburton that needs this there is a few hundred thousand Rangers fans that want to see improved quality of players.

26 May 2016 00:10:02
I'm sure I saw something the other day about King ready to discuss a contract extension with MW.

25 May 2016 22:51:37
Davie Weir was in the paper less than a week ago saying both him and MW are the most committed management team he knows. He also said not having your family with you (he's in the same boat) shows your more committed to the club and not vice versa.
This story is complete drivel, I'm sorry 'tam burns' but it's just made up, maybe not by you but by somebody. Mcparland isn't going to be going out of his way to attract players for MW if his intention is to leave right now.

26 May 2016 06:40:05
There's no smoke without fire I'm afraid. Does any of you know warburton personally, how does anyone know he's not had his head turned by other clubs, whilst seeing promises from King not happen.
don't you find it strange the manager wasn't there when a new signing arrives, I do.

26 May 2016 09:20:50
So Warbs has agreed a contract extension, doubled his much merited money and flown off on holiday with his family!
So much for the merchants of doom!
King, board, management, backroom staff are all in it together and are to be congratulated. A handful more signings in the key areas of the pitch and we are well set for next season.
Onwards and upwards to 55.

25 May 2016 19:24:32
Cheers Ed. Most will remember me as gkk. A disagreement with another poster led me to use some colourful language at odds with my easy going nature and I was regretably unable to continue under said moniker. I now go by my real name that happens to clash with that of a Celtic great.

25 May 2016 11:26:48
Two or three websites now reporting tha tthe Kranjcar deal is all but done.

25 May 2016 11:46:16
what web sites?

25 May 2016 13:31:54
everything's coming up Milhouse!

25 May 2016 14:46:04
All i can say is one hand on the title joey niko jordan in midfield. If we can sort out the central defence wich i'm sure will happen and another striker would luv greg stewart or kane hemmings to join.

25 May 2016 17:14:05
Krancjar deal agreed in principle, following the same pattern as the Barton deal, to be followed shortly by medical and signing.
It all seems to fall into line!
Rangers have also served severance notice on the Sports Direct deal. Forget the Puma strips for next season and wait for the Clubs own official merchandise.
This one could end up in court but I doubt if the alleged fraudsters Ashley, Green, Whyte Llambias et al will be prepared to have the details of their dealings exposed in open court.
Well done DK and the Board, you are playing a blinder! Two fingers to the doubters now! Onwards and upwards!

25 May 2016 17:14:26
don't b sill Barry, one hand on the title, calm it janet! this is going to be a fight next year big time, we have many signings to make before we can even look at winning the league!

25 May 2016 10:18:45
Morning Bears,

Hearing that Kranjcar could go through within the next few days -

Warburton's selling point seems to be the clubs vision to being back on top. (Barton mentioned in his interview) - as a last chance hurrah for players like Barton and Kranjcar why not?

And also I'm not usually one for the nonsense rumours - but there seems to be a bit of reliability in the prospect of Jozy Altidore joining us, 26 years old and looking to reinvent himself in European football - what better way than join the Rangers Revolution?

25 May 2016 10:36:41
I'm not so sure on the player rumour maybe true maybe not but for me looking at his record of goal scoring he's not prolific enough at his age he should be in prime not trying to reinvent hopefully it's not true.

25 May 2016 10:36:12
Read on his profile he has a muscle injury and return unknown. Only 2 goals in 8 games think we'd be better looking at Faendo Adi of Portland Timbers, also his tranfer price is cheaper.
Anyone got thoughts on this.

25 May 2016 11:13:53
The mls released the player wages for the whole league last week and Altidore was on about $6 million so I think we can rule that one out! On top of that he's just not very good!

25 May 2016 11:36:09
Hows that cause the report showed kaka was the highest earner on 5 million.

25 May 2016 11:55:59
Altidore is on $4.825m I seriously doubt that Altidore is a target.

25 May 2016 12:11:56
Kaka is on $7.16 mill which I'm assuming must be about £5mill if that's what a report was saying.

25 May 2016 10:58:33
Jozy altidore is on pretty high wages in the mls. He has tried Europe a few times and can't cut it. Seems happier playing in the states. But on the other hand he is a big strong boy and maybe exactly what we need but he would have to come here for less dough.

25 May 2016 14:42:55
I think if MW signs him it will be because he thinks he can get him back in to his AZ days in the Dutch league scored 39 goals there. EPL didn't really suit his style of play just cause someone is shit for them dosent mean they are completely different styles of play you don't have to be a genius to see that.

25 May 2016 14:53:36
So if he's on £5 mill a year, that means he's on £60k per week . i have my reservations about how much truth are in these figures being put forward.

25 May 2016 16:28:31
Just remember if altidore returns to Europe to try agian he knows himself his wages will drop dramatically as no English team would pay that kind of wages he is a strong striker and has the potential to be really good but I think it would be silly to go for him there is better players to be looking at.

26 May 2016 16:49:39
Toronto FC and Rangers fan here. Can confirm that Jozy is on roughly $4m usd so very unlikely that he goes to Rangers. He started the season really well (hold up play more so than goals) but his hamstrings have failed him again which seems to happen once a season at least. If fit and on lower wages he'd be a great signing for rangers but that's a big if.

Adi from Portland is a good shout though.
