I want to say a massive well done to the whole team today, 75% wage cuts but 110% effort, thats what being a Ranger is all about. Potential bidders, step up, this is the worlds greatest club and you would be lucky to be part of it.

This season has been surrounded in turmoil. The players n staff have been distracted by the uncertainty surrounding Craig whyte for most of this season.

Referee was bad around smaller decisions but 3 sending offs were stonewallers. Congrats to rangers they were the better team on the day, loved the late comeback.

Totally agree double d,but why havent they been playing like that recently,and why is everyone making the excuse that celtic will only win the league because Rangers are in admin,or that Ally is under so much pressure this year,good result YES,but just papering over the cracks,and Ally was under the most pressure he has been all year to win.

Am I the only one a bit deflated that we did not win by 4 or 5 when we had them on the ropes and big gaps all over the pitch to exploit?

I also fear that this will buy Ally more time. I just hope that whoever takes over will bring in their own man as the reason we have done so badly this season is down to Allys inability first and foremost - to hold onto him for next season I fear would guarantee that we are looking at another season without a trophy.

I agree that Ally is not the man for the job. Any manager would have been expected to win against 9 men. Yes we played some nice football but where has it been all season. Lets remember he threw away a 15 point lead. Even with the deduction for administration we could have won this title! Sorry Ally, love you as a player but you are not what we need.

After playing the old firm in warm weather, I feel its time for summer football great having bit of sun on your Back while watching football, anyone agree for summer football?

We would be sitting about most of the winter anyway with frozen pitches ,bad access to grounds , outlying roads with no access try living in newton mearns and east kilbride in winter and youll see what i mean yes we dont need our blue noses any bluer my last winter game was at hampden against heart when barry and claude scored and i made my mind up never again guys half my age were leaving cos of the cold

When is summer in Scotland though? Usually nice April/May then pees down for June & July. I like winter football. December & January would be torched with no football. And agreed lets have a club to follow come this August!

Peter Lawwell has looked at all these issues and options and permutations and knows what he's talking about. He's a successful CEO of a well managed club and an SFA executive.
The problem with summer football for the old firm is that the Champions league is through winter do there will be no close season for our squads. The players will be playing 12 months of the year.

Is a non starter what happens when there's a euros or world cup? Just pay the wages of players who are away representing there countries? Another silly idea. Keep football as it is.

Yes, cheaper for smaller clubs ie less use of flood lights and heating, also the standard of games is not usually altered. remember we played hamilton a few winters ago in extreme wind?

If we played during the the time englang finish their season we might be able to negotiate a better deal from sky,,also it would help with out attempts at playing in Europe,,so I say yes its time for a change

No close season for players... so what.... clashes with world cup etc... so what. summer football would have more benefits. and true, perhaps sky may have more of an interest in our game. as for players being away for.the world cup.... behave... the current scottish team has no chance of qualifying and the players from other countries who are regulars for their country are few and the way things are going there will be fewer next season. scottish football is dying a slow and painful death. we need to make radical changes. 16 team league and an old firm charity shield.game to show boat our game at the start of every season. All league games should be arranged re arranged around club matches in europe. clubs should be given awards for fielding the most scottish players... our game needa to change now!

I'm in perth oz and the difference playing and watching football out here is massive .
We go to games with shorts and tee shirts on , drink cold beer and have a good night out .

D & P only get paid from the pot that creditors get paid from and has to be approved by the creditors

There will be no takeover, wake up son. Liquidation will happen soon after the big tax bill hits.

D&P pay themselves first. If there's no cash left to pay them then it's auto liquidation.

Thats not true, the �1M savings that had to be made included �400k per month administration costs. It is illegal for the administrators to run the club at a loss. So if there is not enough money to pay the administrators the club goes into liquidation.

Correct (above). It's not unusual for administrators/liquidators to drag things out (Farepak anyone?) but if HMRC are on the ball they will look for a swift conclusion. Unfortunately that means liquidation more likely than a buy-out, which will likely be riddled with unacceptable (to HMRC) provisos.

Having had reservations about allys ability in quite a few games this season, i think he should take a bow for a masterclass in tactical set up today, after everything he has had to endure in the past month he got it spot on 100 percent, greegs, mcabe, mculloch outstanding and a word for whitty who hasnt kicked a ball in ernest for 3 months, he was a yard short today but used his head superbly(thats what happens when you play with davie weir for 4 years.) and again i would rather have ally than a classless individual who cant conrtol himself or his players. watp.

Was listening to the game,and thought big Jig was fighting for everything.Must admit im not a big fan of Jig,but what he has done for rangers shouldnt be forgotten.He'll play anywhere for Rangers and he'd even play for free as he has said.True loyal Rangers man.Well done Jig.From a very happy bluenose stuck working in the middle of Australia.WATP

I'm hot & cold with big Jig, but today he showed his class. The guy play's for the jersey, easily MOTM, and deserved.

I have got to say that i have been very critical about ally in the last few months but he got it 100% correct today tactically, could this have been the making of the man, absolutely tremendous performance against what has been all season a poor celtic team apart from the last 5 minutes, if a prospective purchaser was watching today and they have the money needed, this was the perfect show, professional, kept the heads, showed class in face of all the negativity, every player today deserves the plaudits, mcculloch was superb in that position, young mccabe was terrific, great job all round rangers when it was needed ! Bollox. For most of the game we were up against 9 men and should have pumped them by 5 or 6 goals. Trust me when I say that if we were down to 9 men they would have destroyed us.

Yer team were ran for the whole game by a youth player, so rather than come on the wrong site posting things about us havin 12 players cos the ref is a cheat, go and ask yourself why the champions in waiting were beaten so easily, simple as that ya we cretin yous were ruled and made our bitches for an hour and a half, and yer manager has no class at all, but your happy having a we ned as yer manager cos it sums up everything about yer club. You might be about to win the title but yous were showed up for what you really are and thats a mediocre team that wiil get absolutely humped in europe and i for one cannot wait.

Well done today to ally and the team - the game was all about giving us fans something to smile about after this living nightmare recently. Anyone who is thinking about buying our club and was at that match today must see how great our club is. Still the best derby in the world atmosphere was out of this world!

Wel done to ally and the players from a very proud rangers fan dissaponted with the two goals but at least it made the end of the game interesting.we are the people.

No got lucky with du ri sending off straight to the pocket for du ri and hesitated for boca second goal offside but not bitter just honest mistakes one word champions

Rangers need to start with McCulloch up front as he can bully the Sceptic defence. We need to play on their weaknesses and the centre of defence is where that is. Balls up to McCulloch might not be pretty but it can be effective in winning us free kicks & possession near to the Sceptic box.

If we go with McCulloch & 1 other then we can get a positive result but if we play 5 in midfield then we will be looking to hold out for as draw which in my opinion is not the best thing to do.

Watching MOTD. Watching Norwich game! Really makes it hit home the smoke and mirrors that were projected when you see Holt play ! And we bid what 500k ?? hilarious. they must have laughed so hard.

Totally agree. The �500,000 / 1m bid was just for show so that scrotum whyte looked as if at least he was bidding for folk during the window but at the same time never goin to get players.

We had no chance in signing him, the guy is a norwich legend, what worries me is ally believed Mr tight.

Guess today's the day Ally finally gets bumped from 5 tournaments prematurely.

You would not have paid Norwich anyway by ducking into administration to avoid doing so, the same as the rest of your bills.
