Rangers have made a second offer for Hibernian midfielder Scott Allan, which STV understands is worth a total of around £250,000. Just thought I would share.

Yip he has but hibs have said £450k or he's going no where

23 Jul 2015 19:54:21
450k?! Get him signed up that's a bargain. Sell on price will be very profitable ;) things are looking good. Don't need a striker if we get Allan. WATP!

Agree2 Disagree3

23 Jul 2015 17:26:07
Does anyone here think that hubs could win the championship without Scott Allan? Personally I can't see it so that adds another reason to sign him for me and add to that the fact he will be facing them in a rival team and I think his signing is blatantly a positive one for us as long as price is within reason.

Believable3 Unbelievable3

23 Jul 2015 18:41:44
Yes,,and others will be in the mix. this maybe a harder one to win than last year. New management team and new team doesn't bring quick rewards.

23 Jul 2015 18:44:17
I think as a hibby we have as much chance as Rangers we have another 2players in the under 19s far better than Allan and the fee of £450k will help he will be missed but 1 player never make a team so if he wants to go gtf

Agree1 Disagree3

23 Jul 2015 19:37:08
Aww Boohoo, your lot were praising him last month, now you don't care lol, he wants to play in the top tier next season, that's why he's wanting to come to us, get over it.

Agree2 Disagree2

23 Jul 2015 21:10:10
Ha ha 2 players in the u19's much better! Is your face all screwed up munching those sour grapes! I'd offer £250k and if that fails tell Scott to sit tight till next season. I think we'd see some movement then. And is the player going to be fully behind Hibs' push for the title? Think about it. I'm sure he's a good pro but what would you do in the circumstances?

23 Jul 2015 17:22:22
A second bid of 250k has been put in by rangers for Scott Allan.

He is staying at Hibs.
If they get an offer they can't refuse then they will sell him. but NOT to Rangers!!

Jeez oh, it's so obvious he's coming to Rangers! Isn't it?

Reports that we are interested in Jonathan Douglas. Think he as been released by Brentford. He was solid for them last year player who could add the bit of experience in midfield.

Believable4 Unbelievable11

23 Jul 2015 10:10:11
How many midfielders can we play we need two strikers

Agree6 Disagree2

23 Jul 2015 10:20:22
Why do we need Two strikers? We can only play one at a time, so Two seems a bit like wasting cash? Also Warburtons set up doesn't revolve around one main striker, it's a team effort, that's why he goes all out attack

Agree5 Disagree1

23 Jul 2015 10:54:44
Keep hearing rangers fans saying we need another striker. We have 5!! Miller, Waghorn, Clark, Hardie, Gallagher. Whether you think they are good enough or not we will not sign another striker until 1 maybe 2 of them leave. We are crying out for a tough tackling midfielder so either Eustace or Douglas is a must aswell as Allan and that will be our transfer dealings done.

Agree4 Disagree1

23 Jul 2015 12:08:13
I think we are badly in need of ONE quality striker and the others we have on the books will compete, to start with him

Kenny Miller will only be a bit part player this year! Doing his training badges at the club unless he proves to be the best out of the bunch

Agree3 Disagree2

23 Jul 2015 12:14:06
Douglas and Allan would be two great signing and a striker maybe may

Agree5 Disagree3

Gardner1965 Going to be honest when I seen there were reports of 100k I thought come on that is CHEAP!

Looking at the situation now

Hibs got him free so I think any decent bid above £175,000 is "welcome" Don't think Hibs can afford to let him leave for free

No disrespect to the other teams but I reckon come the end of season it will be between Rangers and Hibs, where Hibs worse case scenario can still go up from a play off position

If Hibs don't succeed in doing this they lose Scott Allan getting nothing

A fee of £200,000 upwards can get a few gems if can be found in Scottish football

Scott Allan is a good player but is he really good as people make out?

He hasn't been tested at the highest level yet

Playing in the Championship with three of the teams being part timers last year, says it all really

Contract is done by May

Valuation: £200,000 - £300,000

23 Jul 2015 15:29:41
Imo if hibs want too much in the end for Allan I feel we should turn our attention to Ryan Christie from ICT similar player to Allan and is a year or two younger plus wouldn't cost much

Agree0 Disagree1

23 Jul 2015 15:38:42
Gardner I think it's squeaky bum time for you and your club because if you lose Allan your season's gubbed. The £100k bid was a wee test of resolve for Leanne Dempster and the Hibs board. Can they afford to risk losing him for nowt? I understand the lad is desperate to sign for us and that could swing things in the end. Like some of the other posters, I think he could be recruited for somewhere between 2 and 3 hundred k. Is Allan worth it? I'd say he's worth that and more. There's no doubt in my mind he is a quality player, a standout last season and way too good for the league he is in.

22 Jul 2015 23:55:54
400k bid to be made mon/tue. Allan has made it very clear to friends that he wants to come - patience!

Yeah I'm thinking we give Hibs the Petrofac by-thru and we will get Scott Allan for £200k come the start of the week

First ramgers bid for Scott Allan was 100k. Purely tactical bud.

Believable7 Unbelievable1

23 Jul 2015 10:15:03
In what way was it "purely tactical", all this will do is "piss" Hibs off.god Utd had a bid of £200,000 plus rejected why go in low it smacks of people not knowing what they are doing or even worse of bidding in the knowledge it not going to happen. in other words same as Whyte era when we were bidding for players all over and getting no one. we surely not trying this crap again. same old same old it seems.

Agree2 Disagree4

23 Jul 2015 10:23:50
Ally that bid was in February, when Hibs thought they could get him to sign a new contract. He is set on leaving now, The 100k bid let's him know we want him and makes him think about handing in a transfer request. and with him Favouriting tweets saying "join the revolution" #handitin, makes you think he will.

Agree2 Disagree0

23 Jul 2015 11:51:14
at what point has scott allan been Favouriting tweets saying that?

Agree1 Disagree0

23 Jul 2015 12:26:37
Rangers have only made 1 bid so yer talking rubbish and that was today for £175k and have been told to gtf

Agree0 Disagree0

23 Jul 2015 12:01:11
Ally check most rangers pages on facebook. He has since unfavourited the tweets. Most likely told to do so

Agree0 Disagree1

23 Jul 2015 12:48:25
Gardner what crap you spouting now? Did anyone say rangers have put in anymore than just the 1 bid? Rangers have put in only 1 bid at 175k as Allan is Only Priced currently at 275k. he has 11months on his contract.

(my price comes from various websites that are there for info upon the pricing of players)

Fair enough mate. I seen him in silverburn last friday. i'm sure that'll add fuel to the fire.
My thinking is why come to silverburn for a nandos when he could just go to one in edin where I presume he lives.

Agree0 Disagree2

23 Jul 2015 16:04:40
Get real.
He was in Silverburn. so what!!
Is the guy not allowed to leave Edinburgh just because he plays for Hibs?
And in fact he doesn't live in Edinburgh, he car shares with his team mate James Keatings.
