Rangers manager has got Bradley Wright-Phillips as his main target in January. Fraser Fyvie of Aberdeen is also a target for McCoist in January.

Believable9 Unbelievable38

Well if the summer was anytin to go by i hav my doubts :(

Agree0 Disagree0

Been after BWP for a while. He would defo score goals up here. Hope he comes but we will have to wait and see.

I get the feeling there will be quite alot of transfer activity at Ibrox. A thinning of the wage budget i think.

CJM

Agree0 Disagree0

There is no money . cw

Agree0 Disagree0

Nonsense.

How is it, when no one in the world knows who our targets are, if we have any, people on here can give exact names that not even the press can give.

Agree0 Disagree0

The link regarding Wright-Phillips and Fyvie is from members of the presss association who are sounding out McCoist at Rangers for potential transfer targets.

rangers are to explore the possibility of introducing a standing section for supporters at ibrox(bbc)

Believable39 Unbelievable8

I thought you didn't trust or believe the BBC?

Agree0 Disagree0

You'll soon be standing Outside the Stadium !!

Agree0 Disagree0

Thats because there is no money as we are broke and it is cheaper to rip out old seats rather that install new ones

Agree0 Disagree0

3 replies 2 from the manky mob,unbelievable........

Agree0 Disagree0

I thought you didn't trust or believe the BBC?

its on the official rangers website

Agree0 Disagree0

I said a few days ago that its not standing at games that will get the punters in, its the product on the pitch and the SPL is struggling. But what do the people running the country do ? bring in a stupid bill that will stop more fans attending games.

Agree0 Disagree0

I disagree. a standing area will encourage more supporters to attend the matches. yes the product is poor and who wants to sit on their bums freezing cold watching it. a standing area will add a better atmosphere and keep you warmer(well warmer than sitting)

WATP

Believable15 Unbelievable58

That is actually true, here are the photo's!

Just type Willie Vass into google and select the first option, nacho is the first photo!

Agree0 Disagree0

Hes been training here during the spain break

Agree0 Disagree0

His wife/girlfriend is scottish so i would assume he is over here for christmas and keeping himself ticking over till the spanish championship stars again.

Welcome back to the home of the champions Nacho!.

HE SAID NO THANKS!!

CJM

Agree0 Disagree0

So because he was training with us he is obviously making a return eh? Just like when Gattuso trained with us a year or two ago, funny how people put 2 and 2 together and come up with 50! Get real

Agree0 Disagree0

Nacho's missus wanted to come home for Christmas. He is only using Murray Park to retain his fitness and catch up with old friends over the holiday period.

Agree0 Disagree0

Maybe a bit off topic, but two girls I know seen Nacho Novo in Cruise in Glasgow today. {Ed014's Note - Ed007 has a family member that works there.

Agree0 Disagree0

It was on Sky Sports today at the St. Mirren game that the Ger's were interested in making a move for him, they were having "talks" they said!

Agree0 Disagree0

I would take a team of eleven Nacho Novo's (certainly from midfield onwards). The current crop of players (excluding McGregor, Bocenegra, Goian, Papac and Wallace, possible Davis and Jelavic and Naismith prior to injury) are the biggest bag of kak that ever wore the jersey.

Celtic have turned down the chance to sign former Rangers striker Kris Boyd on a free transfer. It is understood Celtic have rejected any move for Boyd after the club were sounded out about taking the all-time SPL top scorer on a free transfer.
Lennon is thought to be happy with the strikers at his disposal and is looking at other targets instead of Boyd.
Rangers boss Ally McCoist has refused to rule out making a move to bring Boyd back to Rangers and it appears the path is clear for Rangers to sign the Scot. Source SSN.
He's on his way home!!
Get a good playmaker and we are laughing to 4 in a row

Believable22 Unbelievable33

Link please?

(by the way this doesnt mean he will sign for us, it means he wont sign for celtic...)

Agree0 Disagree0

Sky sports news

Agree0 Disagree0

I replied on the Celtic site, to a poster who said would Rangers still be interested in Boyd because his representitives had offered him to Celtic.

I dont think there was any interest at all from Celtic in Boyd, nor do I think he was "offerd" to them. If you watch the interview Neil Lennon gave he does not say he wants to sign him. Its the Media putting spin on it, out to cause debate and to sell papers. I do not think that Boyd would put his family through the hassle that would come with "moving across the divide"

Pete

Agree0 Disagree0

Lennon was at the wind up..and Boyd has no interest in signing for them.He wants a talismanic return to Ibrox

Agree0 Disagree0

Agree with post above. lennon is at the mind games. i can tell you having met kris boyd on many a nights out that there is absolutely no chance of him going to celtic. besides his life would not be worth living

Agree0 Disagree0

Rangers In January:
Kris Boyd free
Nacho Novo free
Possibly Graham Dorrans he saysbon Sky Sports News he would welcome a move to Rangers but Hodgen says its unlikely 4m
Andrew Driver free
Jordan Rhodes 2.5m
David Templeton 500k-800k

Believable20 Unbelievable51

Rhodes dont think so especially for 2.5 mill

Agree0 Disagree0

Wish the old firm would forget about rhodes as wee both have no chance .

daviebhoy08

Agree0 Disagree0

As much as id like a lot of it to be true, a lot of it sounds like garbage. rhodes 2.5mill, ye kiddin right. boyd and novo have had no actual contact regarding returns, as much as i want them both back, and we wont shell out 4mil for dorrans, templeton i keep hearing is a tim, but players dont always play for the team they support? and i dont think we will get driver, a move down south beckons. id like him in the squad as hes a good winger, just too injury prone.
stevemac

Agree0 Disagree0

None of that is going to happen......... Novo and Boyd had their chance, Driver wants to make himself available for Hearts and Dorrans, rhodes are a definate no no, as they would cost money, sorry m8

Agree0 Disagree0

Wishful thinking son

Agree0 Disagree0

I can't see where any of you who right off Boyd coming back are coming from. He'll be a free transfer, he's obviously goot goals in him (what we're lacking), so to think McCoist or Whyte would'nt think about taking him back is crazy. Also Nacho Novo, who only has 6 months of his contract to run can't be written off, once again, he's proved he can do more than a job in the SPL. Some of you need to be realistic {Ed014's Note - Some people need start looking forward instead of back.

Agree0 Disagree0

Ed we ain't got a great record looking forward so far under the Whyte/McCoist regime have we? There's nothing wrong with going with the tried and tested I don't think, especially going into the 2nd half of the season {Ed014's Note - I doubt he would be the same player that left.

Agree0 Disagree0

Rhodes- keep dreaming
boyd- useless
novo- no more than squad player

Agree0 Disagree0

Ed i don't think that signing boyd would be "looking back". He scores a sh1t-load, so trying to sign him a year and a half after we let him go, on less wages than he wanted isn't a bad decision. Its not like hes in his 30's. If ur a ger ed014 i'm sure u will realise that having boyd banging them in will help us in the league and also the atmosphere in ibrox as only being 1 goal up with 5 mins to go has every1 nervous {Ed014's Note - I think you meant he SCORED a sh1t-load.Would he have made a difference today? We should be looking at young hungry players, not pandering to past heroes.

Agree0 Disagree0

I would take every single one of them signings. We sell Jelavic for £8m and ship out Bedoya, Ortiz, McKay, Edu, McCulloch, Clubfoot, Kerkar and Healy and I think we stand a chance of at least keeping league title fight going until April! With current squad it could be over by end of Jan.

Agree0 Disagree0

Agree with above post but you forgot to add lafferty who yet again as so often is the case- posted missing

Agree0 Disagree0

I ed014 a meant scored lol. And i think that against st mirren boyd on-form probably would have scored. I doubt he'd have made a difference to our overall football though. And i agree with what your saying about the young players but the problem with them is that once they're offered even £1000 a week more at another club would have their heads turned. Few wouldn't - and these are the kind of players we need. Aluko stunned me.

Agree0 Disagree0

Dont be daft we havnt got 2 pence never mind 3/4 mill why would dorrans leave W.B.A to go to us were skint and hes to good for us, novo is past it

There is lots of speculation that wee Nacho and Big Boydy might be pulling on the colours of Rangers again, i say bring them both but we do need someone who can provide them the ball from the midfield, can this lad Allan provide as i've not seen a lot from him?

Believable9 Unbelievable27

He won't be signing as West Brom will offer more " What would you do ". In regards to Novo he is back visiting family I believe and keeping fitness up over the festive period. I would doubt that he would be back in a Rangers jersey again. Boyd is a no brainer for me, yes I agree he left not on great terms to an offer of better money but again it was his decision. A short term deal until the summer for Boyd would be a great thing for us. The problem I have is that you can't pair him with Jelavic as lets be honest Jelavic isn't the most mobile and doesn't press the ball either. His slump in form in my eyes has been caused by him being up front on his own and isolated. Is Lafferty the man to provide the legs for either of them ? He has certainly improved over the last 12 months in my eyes. I am more concerned about our lack of invention and creativity in the middle of the park. Steve Davis has went of the boil and I don't blame him for that either as he has had a very ordinary partner alongside him in Edu or Jig. He also gets played on the right. The concern for me will be the lack of investment in JANUARY as I can't see for the life of me CW spending any real money with the tax case hanging over him. He could also point out to Ally that the 2 players he has signed in McKay and Bedoya have hardly kicked a ball for Rangers since he signed them in the summer. I certainly feel that a few may have to be shipped out before any if possible could come in. I would love Ness to have a bit of luck fitness wise and get a run in the team. And is Edu and Jig any better than Hutton. The boy has never really got a chance. Just an opinion fellow bears, Merry Xmas and lets hope for 3 points on the 28th.

Agree0 Disagree0

If novo comes back i wont be. he's murder. would take boyd back, novo is poss the worst player (except kirky clubfoot) ever to wear the blue jersey.
the tiger - beyond reproach

Agree0 Disagree0

I watched allan play for the scotland under 21s. He played just behind the striker n was great. Strong at hold up n reasonsbly skilful. But I think fleck or bendiksen could be the missing player

any truth to the rumour that Nacho Novo might be coming back to Ibrox on a free in January? saw it on a couple of Rangers pages on facebook.
I personally would love to see him back, we need options, he would be cheap, reliable (we know he is a good player) loyal, and a hard worker. i think he has his head screwed on unlike a lot of players these days.
Plus at the minute we are in a crisis for players, injuries and what not, heard he is becoming a freebie in january??

Steve
WATP

Believable23 Unbelievable30

He is training at Murray Park because his team are on a break, I wouldn't read to much into him returning in January although I would welcome him with open arms - the little legend he is

Pete

Agree0 Disagree0

For f***s sake how many players do you want to return. boyd, miller, cuellar, and now Novo. these players are ex rangers and done get OVER it

Agree0 Disagree0

Would need to pay a transfer fee still has 6 months left a contract rather the wee man than Boyd or even still the two of them our future strike force jelavic, Naismith, novo, Boyd.to choose from.

Agree0 Disagree0

I really fear where we are going if Rangers fans are getting excited about the prospect of Novo coming back and even Boyd for that matter.

Agree0 Disagree0

Thing is, boyd is the spl top goalscorer. he may be fat and lazy, but he gets goals. and at the rate we are playing, we need just that. as a lot of people have said we are only just scraping wins, 2-1s here or 1-0s there. he may not be good against celtic but remember theres 10 other teams in the league, and the more goals and more wins we get the better!

Agree0 Disagree0

Cmon troops these are stocking fillers, Novo and Boyd know the SPL obviously, if we bring them in and win the leaugue because the parts they played, would you still think where we are going, we can't afford to spend the amounts that it would take to bring in another of the likes of Jels, so i say as well bring them both.

WATP

Alan

Agree0 Disagree0

Thing is boyd would be a great signing. At the end ae the day he sticks the ball in the back ae the net, and keeps dain it even when he's been dropped for the biggest games. Excluding hearts who have we lost points against this season? St mirren, st johnstone, kilmarnock and nearly caley thistle. Boyds a great player to have in these situations so any1 sayin "i dont want him back", is letting their ego get the better ae them :S

Agree0 Disagree0

Would love 2 c novo back but can't see it being a free transfer he banged 2 goals in 4 then the other weekel tel.
