heard through a few money men that if the tax man does win its case then it has its targets to follow up on ie Celtic as they may come under investigation for the same thing so i dont think they should be laughing Ed you heard anything ? {Ed001's Note - there are lots of companies that will face investigation, I don't believe Celtic were ever involved in using this particular loophole though.}

Believable2 Unbelievable23

I don't think they had anything to do with HRMC mate.

Agree0 Disagree0

Think you should question the credibility of the supposed money men you're talking to.

Agree0 Disagree0

After reading a few blogs on the subject by tims for tims, I think it's prety safe to assume that THEY want us hit with a £40m bill, WE want to be found innocent of any wrong-doing and NO-ONE actually knows what's going to happen! Even any "money men" wouldn't know unless they worked for HMRC, Rangers or any other club representative dealing with this situation - even then it would be irresponsible to go around giving details of the case.

Agree0 Disagree0

Celtic looked at the loophole years ago and decided better of it.

Wise move.

Agree0 Disagree0

But they do go about talking about it, met a guy on holiday last October who worked for HMRC and he was quite open about how they were after the club. He was credible and I'll give you one guess who he supports!

Agree0 Disagree0

Ed001 is 100% right. It has been reported through various media outlets that Celtic have never used the EBT system.

Mark67

Agree0 Disagree0

I think it was reported that there is around 180 companies in the uk that have exploited the loophile .... im sure I heard that there were a few other english teams including man city (dont think they will have any worries tho!) there is no way HMRC will ger all their money from these companies, If found guilty and its a massive if (HMRC would have done this ages ago but didnt think they would win but the economy is fooked and they need to recover wotever they can) there will certainly be an agreed settlement as always happens in these cases after appeals etc.

However the these companies are all confidnte that they will win the cases as they have all proved they didn nothing illeagal but DID exploit loopholes. These companies think they cannot be charged for HMRC incompetence and why should they.

Germinator {Ed014's Note - There are no more appeals, the hearing in November is the last stage and HMRC have already refused the Gers proposal of a settlement.

Agree0 Disagree0

There will be appeals after the hearing ed... if gers are found guilty and an amount is put out gers are allowed to appeal again ... however this will be after the hearings.

Germinator {Ed001's Note - you are correct, there can be legal appeals, the appeals 014 was referring to were appeals to HMRC themselves. All the avenues of discussion, outside of the courts, have been exhausted.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Dream on celtic chairman at the time mr Quinn former boss of bank of England would not touch it with a barge pole he said at the time it was illegal

Agree0 Disagree0

Its going to be the big english clubs that are getting investigated next

Agree0 Disagree0

Its only been against the law since this year to use the loop hole rangers did. the two cases hmrc have took to court they have lost (FACT) mark.

Agree0 Disagree0

Brian Quinn advised against it. So, not true.

Agree0 Disagree0

Heard that Arsenal were one too which may explain them not forking out much cash this summer. Doesn't surprise me with Murray being pally with David Dein

Agree0 Disagree0

To the guy that said "But they do go about talking about it, met a guy on holiday last October who worked for HMRC and he was quite open about how they were after the club. He was credible and I'll give you one guess who he supports!"

What did your holiday chum tell you that wasn't already reported in the media.

Agree0 Disagree0

A lot more than was reported in the media last october!, he also made it clear they were 'targeting' RFC as a priority

Glasgow Rangers to sign Sligo Rovers F.C. Striker Eoin Doyle. The Top Marksman in the Irish League is on the brink of smashing Sligo Rovers 75 Year Goal Scoring Record. Doyle's strike last Monday night was enough to knock Europa Leagues Shamrock Rovers F.C. out of the FAI Cup.

Believable15 Unbelievable29

Didnt know we were in for Doyle. Heard a number of clubs are watching with interest.

Agree0 Disagree0

Source? Fee involved?

Agree0 Disagree0

Anyone know what the standard in the Irish League is? Is it SPL level?

Agree0 Disagree0

Aston Villa paid for £250,000 for Shamrock Rovers full back Enda Stevens recently. That might be a guide to the type of money involved perhaps...

Agree0 Disagree0

Not SPL level ye mate but give it a couple of years because were heading back the way. Probably the equivelant of our 1st division at the moment. Some cracking players have come through the Irish league though.

Agree0 Disagree0

We need to start qualifying for European football again, starting next season. This cant go on..

Agree0 Disagree0

Why do people insist on asking people to name their source?
If they have a source and name them
A) they may never be given info again
B) Will be subject to being called Timothy/liar/BSer
C) Told by a mate of a mate of a mate and read point A and B again...

It's a no win for everyone!

Agree0 Disagree0

Think this guy will cost too much money. We should be out scouting the amateur legues for a free transfer

Agree0 Disagree0

Over the last few years we have seen quite a bit of premiership class players come from the Irish league
kevin Doyle
Shamus Coleman
Shane Long
All brought to England for very small fees. The talents out there

Agree0 Disagree0

Celtic are now picking up a lot of Irish talent at a young age.

Agree0 Disagree0

Theres a host of talent in irish football we should be looking at these types of leagues all over the planet as we dont have the coin to get players from lower leagues in england etc
steve the ger

Agree0 Disagree0

We would need some Scouting Network to be first to snap up top players operating in lower leagues around the world. I know that clubs in the USA are very strong on analyzing Video Footage of potential signings. Time for a transformational change in our Scouting methods?

Hello all. Just a whisper i've heard from a mate of a mate so don't shoot me down in flames, i dont know if its true or not but i've heard Whyte doesn't and never did want Ally as manager. Despite keeping up appearances and public statements to contrary it is believed the two dont see eye to eye and Whyte is looking to replace him in January with Bob Bradley and also looking to sign Bradley junior as part of the deal. This is apparently some masterplan dreampt up by Whyte to add more weight to his negotiations with Fox. Apparently last nights result has done Ally no favours at all. As i said just a rumour but i hope to f*** it not true.

Believable17 Unbelievable31

I don't think so mate. Its a fare statement but if whyte wanted Mc Coist out I would think he would have brin by now. If anything was to happen I would think we would have heard somthing by now. Ger4life

Agree0 Disagree0

Celtic fan lmao. Ed007 this is what I'm posting about on your page. He posts all that then 1 min 30 sec later he posts again asking about fox tv lmao.
FF81. {Ed014's Note - Ed007 can't edit the Rangers site.I will let him know you posted though and he can have a look.

Agree0 Disagree0

Would that be the same bob Bradley that's due to be announced as the new Egypt manager? Goin peddle yer p*sh somewhere else!

Agree0 Disagree0

Was told this weeks ago didint think any thing of it dont really want ally to go bradley its a good manager and his son is a good player but i would like to see ally get to atlest to the end of the season last night was bad but its the league that matters now i would like to add tho that we will see more Americans coming to club players and couching staff and maybe even Board Room that will help with the tv rights over there and it will also up the fan bace in America Ali Russell has all ready said that ibrox could be renamed as part of any deal that gets us in to the American market also talks of playing old firm over there i have a link

telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/teams/rangers/8592049/Ali-Russell-looks-to-the-bigger-picture-as-Rangers-new-director-of-operations.html

Agree0 Disagree0

Ed014, I know Ed007 can't edit but he comes over for a look once in a while lol. He might leave a post but not put a name to it lol.

Agree0 Disagree0

Celtic fan.Second post about Fox talks wasn't mine ya walloper. Jog on back to your own page ya loser. As i said before just a rumour but seems to be gathering pace. Have heard this from a few folk now, dont know where it started. Dont know if its true hence why its on the rumours page.

Agree0 Disagree0

Bob Bradley just been made Egypt manager

Agree0 Disagree0

Bob Bradley is indeed the new Egypt manager but January is a long way away. Contracts count for nowt these days. Could easily still switch to Rangers.

Agree0 Disagree0

This rumour along with almost every other ex-Ranger and anyone who's ever held a maagerial post in the last 30 years has been batted about now... Give it a rest!
Ally is here for 4 in a row!

Agree0 Disagree0

Would hope that last Suns result helped a little though!!!!!!!!!!1fhs.

Agree0 Disagree0

Bob bradley?....seriously,maybe to replace broxi bear...away an biyle yir heed in a kettle

Agree0 Disagree0

Thanks for your insight into the running of rangers where would we be without you mark.

Agree0 Disagree0

Heard a similar thing, but not the Bradley thing. Heard that it was to be Wilkins or Davies depending on results up to xmas. Whyte couldn't get rid from the off as he came in under a cloud, and Ally is club legend. I hope we still maintain league position, then everyone is a winner, as cant be sacked if successful, meaning everyone happy, and we can continue to welcome the chase!!!

Agree0 Disagree0

This mate of mate must be the mate of a mate whos mate thinks up pure kack and all of his mates mates thinks thier mates mates mate is some kind of spy

Agree0 Disagree0

Bob bradley better thn mccoist nah no thanks and michael bradley would be warmin the bench everyweek pal ffs get a grip we have davis whos just out this world this season

Hello ed I was just wondering if you knew why the cup we played in last night is called Scottish Communities League Cup when Falkirk aren't in the same league as us {Ed014's Note - It is sponsored by the Scottish Government.

www.scotland.gov.uk/News/Releases/2011/03/21144727

Believable0 Unbelievable3

Yes but weird that it has league in its name {Ed014's Note - It's because it is the League Cup.The Carling Cup in England is their League Cup,they have been called that for years and just change name to suit the current sponsor.

Agree0 Disagree0

Oh i see thanks for clearing that up

Agree0 Disagree0

Good to see you bears learned a lot at school ha ha ha CFC 1967

Agree0 Disagree0

The League Cup has the 4 leagues in Scotland (Premier and Football Leagues), the Scottish Cup has that and the Highland and junior teams involved from the early rounds.

Agree0 Disagree0

Jeezo! Has the original poster only just started watching football? How can it be possible not to know this?

Agree0 Disagree0

God give the guy a break he asked a question and it got answered. so stop trawling all questions on ere picking on people just so you can feel more intelligent than them pathetic mark.

anyone know how bedoya played last night?

Believable8 Unbelievable6

Aye he played like torres lol :)

Agree0 Disagree0

I believe he used his legs and feet, he has two of them.

Agree0 Disagree0

He played well, he got really stuck in and involved. Had alot of touches but think he still needs time to settle in and get used to the physical side of Scottish football, he's a very good young player though.

Agree0 Disagree0

No I was at the game, he did not play well, looked lost and got caught out of position a few times, He did not make himself available for a pass and hid for time he was on the park.

Agree0 Disagree0

It was a bad team performance to form a judgement need to give the guy time

Agree0 Disagree0

Early days, but wasnt impressed by him at all.but as i said.early days

Agree0 Disagree0

What ?! sorry he was anonymous and we played our best football wen he and healy came off.

Germinator

Agree0 Disagree0

P!sh like the rest of the team

Agree0 Disagree0

Are you lot sure you were all at the same game?
