fellow bears if we can keep all our players for next season and with the transfer embargo, what would be your team, formation, subs etc. which 18 year olds could we sign, can we get Gattuso and Novo to retire then come out of retirement and sign for us via the trialist loop hole. what kind of team can we put out for next season ?. I honestly think we can still win the league if all of the above can happen. I have my idea of a team and formation, but would like to see your thoughts. Catweazle-talkingbone.

Agree0 Disagree0

Bring guys out Of retirement is a good call. I'd go for McCloy, Jardine, Wishart, Greig, McCadam, Hurlock, Wilkins, Bett, Spackman, Mols, Subo .... you are a person GET REAL!

Agree0 Disagree0

I admire you optimism. Will that optimism still be there after the BBC documentary tomorrow night ? Somehow I don't think so ! My guess is there will be criminal charges following this programme. This is a disaster not only for rangers but for the whole of Scottish football

Agree0 Disagree0

Novo lol your kidding right?

Agree0 Disagree0

Typical bear, Look for ways to get round the rules Again. Dont you guys Ever Learn??

Agree0 Disagree0

Cat- Is that your post mate?,or an imposter?
Previously O.B.

Agree0 Disagree0

What is it with you lot and Loopholes?!

There is a ban on all REGISTRATIONS OF PLAYERS AGED 18 OR OVER, which means you cannot sign Novo or Gattuso or anyone else older than 17 years and 364 days

Agree0 Disagree0

Do you want the shennanigans to continue by exploiting yet more loopholes. Next time we step out of line we are finished.

Agree0 Disagree0

Gatusso via trialist loophole
ha ha ha ha what a bunch of cheaters you just don't get it do you

Agree0 Disagree0

You cant get Gattuso or Novo or anybody else there is no trialist loophole under this embargo best hope is trying to keep players which is why I seen Healy is in talks to extend his contract

Agree0 Disagree0

Get novo and gattuso to retire? They don't want to play for us that badly. I expect gattuso to sign for someone else prob in Italy or Russia or China for bumper pay day then if he wants to play for rangers that much why won't he try sign next summer.

Agree0 Disagree0

Through this post us fellow bears are being made to look stupid lets take the medicine and get the club back to full fitness no wonder we get a bad name are some fellow bears in the same planet rule bending wont do us any favours lets learn from our mistakes then we can move on as a rangers fan im really disapointed in this attatude the sooner we get this sorted the better attatudes will need to change and start living in the real world as a bear im really saddened the way the club has been run im disapointed too in the buisneses and other clubs that have lost money in this debacle i as a true bear would follow rangers in div 3 as long as everyone got paid first as for the boycot i will be following on to support the team i want us to come out the other side as a respected club not a front for some dodge lets get this sorted who agrees ?

Agree0 Disagree0

Lol win the league next season the 3rd divisions yours for the taking

Agree0 Disagree0

This shows the moral standard of a certain group of Hector fans...we have got away with cheating in the past, so no one will bother if we do it again..... Sorry Hector fan but we are now watching your every move.... hope you do decide to breach the embargo.... will be fun to watch more penalities being impossed agaist you.

Agree0 Disagree0

The only way we could get gatusso is if we could agree a deal with milan to give him a years contract at the salary we would be paying him the loan him out for a year paying his wages {Ed014's Note - No player of 18 or over can be registered by the Gers.NONE...NOBODY....NADA....NANTY...ZERO!!!!

Agree0 Disagree0

They have to be under 18. Ie 16 or 17

Agree0 Disagree0

Keep smokin, ya dafty.
We can't sign ANY, and I mean ANY, players over 18 years of age.
We are already being scrutinised by the world for our wrong-doings. Its time to play fair.
And forget about keeping any of the big names. They are OFF!

Agree0 Disagree0

Novo has a contract with legia warszaw

Agree0 Disagree0

Maybe Novo could sign as two U-18 players if we cut him in half

Agree0 Disagree0

Another loop hole looked for, give up the loop holes and conduct business in a proper manner

The 2012/13 fixture list to be published on 18th june, first match 4th August. If CVA rejected can Newco be up and running before the end of July? can we continue as old Rangers and switch to Newco during the season? Seems unlikely to me. Think it's dawning on fans that no CVA means a whole heap of trouble!

Believable14 Unbelievable18

Not sure it matters. So long as Rangers can fulfill its fixtures as the existing club in administration or as newco then all is well. Not sure if there is a further penalty though if still in admin at start of season.

Agree0 Disagree0

Doesn't matter when fixture list is announced it's when season starts that counts! Newco can be done within 10days!

Agree0 Disagree0

If we aint got a CVA or become a newco we will still be in admin when new season starts which means another points deduction. If we come out as a newco 2 weeks in to the new season then if it is voted for then we would stay in spl thats what there in the process of trying to decide just now.

Agree0 Disagree0

Fixture list cant be drawn up till we know who the teams are

Agree0 Disagree0

But is the date for the teams to be included in the fixture list not June 4th, two days before the original planned CVA meeting?

If it slides much more, then the league may be forced to say that Rangers cannot compete in next seasons SPL, which will spark a war between the Pars and the Dee as to who should replace Rangers

Agree0 Disagree0

Can someone please help me out? In 209-2010 season Livi went into admin. they were dropped from the top league to div 3 for that alone. Rangers have been in admin for 4 months and not been dropped, why?
Rangers have also deliberately withheld £13m of VAT, NI and PAYE to pay for a team to deliver second place in SPL, why are they not dropped to Div 3?
Now SPL and SFA are implying Rangers will not drop to Div 3 as a brand new company registered 2012, why?

Agree0 Disagree0

Livingston were relegated from SPL after finishing the season with 18 points. They went into liquidation while an SFL member so they got demoted to SFL3

Agree0 Disagree0

Livi weren't in top league were they? Also went into admin twice. This is what's been said on here for past few weeks or so.

its went pretty quiet with no news coming outfor a few days is this a good thing or bad thing ?
BALLYBOY

The calm before the storm I think.
Liah Smit

Agree0 Disagree0

I was thinking that today also....I suspect(if going by past events) this develops into a breaking story that has been sat on for a few days. I think they already have their stories ready from the documentary and maybe developments of the consortium....who knows I am sure by the end of the week we will find out why it has been so quiet of late.

Agree0 Disagree0

Its a lot to expect news every day
things dont happen that fast in the real world

Agree0 Disagree0

If there was any good news on any subject they would release it. They don't hold back good news.

Agree0 Disagree0

After tomorrows programme on BBC Rangers are dead in the water. If the SFA or SPL do nothing EUFA will hammer them. Ayr United dodged a bullet telling Murray to get lost before his mega ego bought Rangers to spite them. Remember he was a lifelong Ayr United fan when he tried to buy them. Adois amigos

Agree0 Disagree0

Murray fell out of love with Rangers when Martin O'Neil won 3 titles.... Rangers fans were calling him for everything because he wouldn't spend to get the worlds best players. Then Gordon Strachan won three titles and Murray was receiving dogs abuse....apparently he called Ragers fans ungrateful b'stads. Is this his deliberate payback?

Agree0 Disagree0

Well its even been a wee while since duff and duffer have "released a statement"

Maurice Edu has backed USA and Rangers team-mate Alejandro Bedoya to come good at Ibrox.

Winger Bedoya made just six starts after signing up from Swedish side Orebro, but Edu is convinced he will play a big role next season.

Speaking to the Rangers official website, Edu said: “Ale has been unfortunate. He didn't play as often as he would have liked and he struggled with a few injuries but I'm sure next season he will take his chance and make the most of it.

Believable16 Unbelievable20

Oh Edu says so!! if he said it was dark outside I would open the curtains! he only knows a good player from the back (as thats all he'll ever see)

Agree0 Disagree0

I reckon Bedoya will come good, he's always looked sharp when he has come on.

Agree0 Disagree0

Ale?is that becos he looks like a pint n has a frothy nut?

ed could you explain this for me please, with the timescale of things if a cva is not agreed then we all know it has to be the newco route,is this going to be achieved as this could take between 8 to ten weeks,im hearing that rangers might not be playing next season and will have to reapply for the 2013_14 season(hope you can shed some light on this ed, cheers) tr7
{Ed014's Note - I'm no expert on it all but I'm sure that Rangers in some form will be playing next season.

Believable13 Unbelievable11

Result of CVA will not be known till 6th July. D&P will still be under a legal obligation to ensure that the creditors interests are paramount. The transfer of assets eg players contracts, properties and trade marks will not be a single seemless transaction. It has been reported that the players become free agents and with no money coming in from season ticket sales to pay wages many may be forced to leave.

Agree0 Disagree0

The real threat is rangers stay in spl with a 24 point penalty (10 + 1/4 of last seasons points).... to start with

Agree0 Disagree0

The real threat is bogged down in legal wrangle's we cease to exist. Remember Craig White has a legal charge over Ibrox and still owns a controlling interest in Rangers which should be sufficient stop the sale of the property to Newco.

Agree0 Disagree0

I really cannot see the CVA NOT being accepted. The CVA proposal that will be put forward is for £134 million, the same amount that Rangers owe(in the worst case scenario) so it would be rather silly NOT to accept it. Ive saw some posts on here suggesting that the £8.5 million is the value of the CVA....utter garbage. This is the price that has been put forward to BUY the club.

Stu-man

Agree0 Disagree0

"Result of CVA will not be known till 6th July"

It will be later than that as Green/D&P have missed the deadline to get the proposal to creditors.

This isnt to say that they wont provide one or anything but the creditors need to be provided with the proposal and left with a set time to consider, 6th of July is too soon as creditors haven't recieved the proposal as yet.

Mac

Agree0 Disagree0

I would be VERY surprised if Rangers weren't playing SPL football next season, whatever the financial arrangements that happen between now and then.

Agree0 Disagree0

Stu-man.in the words of waynes world,ARE YOU MENTAL

Agree0 Disagree0

If as suggested the creditors were to be paid in full there would be no need for a CVA. Also if Craig White was being offered £8.5m for his shares he would be long gone. Green is hoping to buy the shares for an undisclosed amount and introdce funds sufficient to pay the creditors a small fraction of the amount due. This guy is not daft he wants to make money.

Agree0 Disagree0

8.5 million ....

-2 million for admins who get paid first...

So 6.5 mill for 134mill debt worst case, so that 5p in pound , or slightly more as a mill or two to come into pot... (from other clubs)

Cfeditor

Agree0 Disagree0

Stu-man,don't ever remember seeing or reading that there will be £134m in the kitty. As far as I'm aware the money to be put into Rangers is £8.5m. I will bow to your better knowledge if you can point us to were you picked up this piece of info.
Al

Agree0 Disagree0

Ed correct me if I am wrong but is it not the case any newco will not be able to use the Rangers crest, five stars or indeed play in the same strip. Essentially it is a completely new Club. {Ed001's Note - it really depends, the Newco can buy those things.}

Agree0 Disagree0

£8.5m in CVA pot(won't happen anyway)

£3m to D&P
£1.5 to Close Brothers(Fixed Charge)
£4m to Floating Charge holder(CW we think)

All unsecured creditors inc HMRC,football clubs etc will receive nothing.
HMRC,however can still get a result that suits them. They can have RFCs head on a stick to wave at anyone else who they are taking action against, thus collecting more money than any CVA would pay them.
Liquidation, same scenario.Unsecured creditors will receive nothing due to floating charge holder being paid first.

Mike McDonald has pulled out of Green's consortium. We are being spinned a story..... More nonsenses.

Has he got wind of the content of the documentary tomorrow?

Is individuals owning players, instead of clubs, and making profits from players legal? But I think this is a cover story. He knew about the one year ban before becoming preferred bidder.

Believable32 Unbelievable9

McDonald was only putting money forward for transfers, to make a profit if they were sold on. Well.....we cant sign anyone, so he has no need to invest. If you read the whole interview, he says its probable that hell be back in 12 months with his funding. Heres hoping.

Agree0 Disagree0

We were told by Green he was a member of the consortium that was purchasing Rangers. Now we're being told McDonald was never purchasing the club only interested in making profit from players!?! Surely Rangers needs those profits going forward?? How can one man own players and not the club? A load of lies.... He was part of the purchasing consortium and has pulled out.

Agree0 Disagree0

Who anywhere in the world buys players for a team, gambling that the player will be worth more on sell on?
I'm sure this breaks the financial fair play regulations. Only clubs can own the assets and pay for them through honest trading.

Agree0 Disagree0

He knew the ban was in place when Green stepped in after Miller.
The ban remained after appeal nearly 2 weeks ago. Why use this as an excuse now? Im tired of millionaires dropping out and telling us everything there were going to do.
Don't blame SPL or SFA for doing their regulatory duty. The club brought all this in ourselves. If its a family, then we're all to blame, fans included.

Agree0 Disagree0

Other sites taxcase etc etc all gone very quiet ....

could be the tv programme or that the BTC about to be released, goes to club first for 5 days - then the whole world....

Agree0 Disagree0

Don't think green did name him did he?. I think media put two and two together and came up with him. Also I know it ain't exactly same scenario but did harry not have some deal as Pompey manager where if he signed a player and then sold him at a profit he got a cut. Hence him buying a laid of players from Pompey when he left for spurs and doing very well from it. So there must be ways you can make money as an individual from transfers

Agree0 Disagree0

As far as ivesting in players you only have to go back and look at the situation with charlie adam, ian hollaway and the chairman recieved a percentage of that transfer fee,its the norm with some clubs. tr7

Agree0 Disagree0

These part-ownership schemes happen a lot now around the world......

like tevez?? part-ownership seems yet another hair-brained... how to get players cheap??

Agree0 Disagree0

Carlos tevez was owned by a third party, and there was a northern irish boy at Dundee Utd about 10 years ago who was bought by a consortium with intention they share profits when sold , think he ended up at st johnstone,,,dcg

Agree0 Disagree0

The Tevez situation was outlawed. Part-ownership like in Italy is a specific rule there and a few other countries. But not Scotland.

Agree0 Disagree0

The English FA banned Tevez-type arrangements and West Ham were lucky to play PL football although they had to compensate Sheffield Utd who went down instead.

Yes, in South America it's normal for players' contracts to be owned by a non-football business (as was Jorchoobian ?sp?) and that's the only way West Ham could afford him. Not sure what happens in Scotland. Is it allowed?

Agree0 Disagree0

Managers in England received bungs in the early nineties for transfers in and out..... And the English FA dropped their clubs two divisions...now if you put it in the contract you get your bungs legally.

Agree0 Disagree0

There are some dodgy people behind this bid, it is not clean money. Look no further than the Indonesian connection.

Agree0 Disagree0

This guy buys players then sells them for profit so any decent bid in jan trans window and their sold and no money for the club ... yep thats the way forward ... eh not

Agree0 Disagree0

Would love to know ed's thoughts on what is going to happen at rangers i fear the whole green thing is a non starter for one i dont believe a cva is acheivable and also i do not believe that craig whyte handed over his shares for £2 i firmly believe he is still involved in some capacity with green. he might have handed over his shares but still holds the key to what happens with the stadium and murray park. just finally this whole proccess stinks and i am dreading tommorrow nights documentary on the bbc {Ed001's Note - I think it has become almost certain a Newco is the only way forward for the club, however unpalatable it may be. No one seems willing to put enough money up for any other option to work.}

Agree0 Disagree0

This makes me angry profit from players what about the debts we owe should the not come first

Agree0 Disagree0

Disgracefull this isnt the way to run the club a quick buck profit not in my name

Agree0 Disagree0

So players come into the club based on his evaluation of a sign on target's future sell on value? He chooses who to invest in and the Manager has to take the guy in the squad and play him? Even if the guy is bad, play him until he's good for sell on value. The sell on point in time is McDonald's decision not the Manager's?
Rangers never ceases to come up with more and more scandalous stuff.

Agree0 Disagree0

Does anyone on here know or have heard any rumours that we are looking at some 18 year olds to take on board at all?

Believable13 Unbelievable10

No and the reason for that is that we can only sign players UNDER 18 years old

Agree0 Disagree0

No but i think we should be looking for loans of players from teams like barca and madrid.

any team that have good youth academies, and what to let players go out to get experence,. that way players of that level would more than cut it in the spl..

Agree0 Disagree0

Hector fan, you can look at as many 18 year olds as you like...you just can't sign them.... you can only sign players up to the day before their 18th birthday.... can you not keep up the pace.... its not rocket science.

Agree0 Disagree0

So are we not even allowed players aged 18? I was under the impression it was players upto and including 18years of age. {Ed014's Note - It is only players under 18 that can be signed.}

Agree0 Disagree0

And rangers relationship with real and barca is? why would they lend young players to rangers ....... dream on

Agree0 Disagree0

Real or Barca would not risk young prospects in the SPL with the shocking pitches and sh*t players playing against them why risk taking them out a good system. the insurance alone would make this option to expensive
DB77

Agree0 Disagree0

Why would barca and Madrid loan players to
Rangers? To develop their careers perhaps? Rangers came very close to getting messi and iniesta on loan when rijkaard was barca boss. In fact it was MacLeish who pulled out of the iniesta deal on account of him being too small! Don't believe me? Read graham hunter's book "the making of the greatest team in the world"
