thats a great price for him I really thought we would be looking at something like 125k. Great business again from the Rangers board.

Really proud of our board- ousted the snake oil salesmen -told us they would invest in team and build for future- absolutely true to their word!
After difficult times, its a great time to be a Bear!:-)
Loads of work to do,however, foundations are in palce

Hibs reluctant to sell to nearest rivals but it may come down to the player himself!

Scott Allan is in his last year with Hibs gaffer saying "He'd rather run down his contract and let him walk away free, as player may be more important for ththis season that £250,000 that had been offered by a couple of clubs recently

Rangers have now gone in with a "good offer" that may be too good too resist!

I believe in the region of £400,000

Also heard this in the region of 300-400k i'd say it's nearer to the 400 mark exciting times.

How do you know this Kaz?

Agree0 Disagree3

21 Jul 2015 13:23:07
Let's just say without sounding big headed I have people that tell me accurate stories especially contracts that have been near enough put in place

These few guys are nine outta 10 pretty spot on

I for one will be happy if we can land this player

At this time, I would say, we can indefinitely sign Scott Allan he has expressed in the past he wants a Rangers move and he is an actual fact a Rangers supporter

Happy days eezyeez 😊

Nice one Kaz, hope you're right, but as I said in a previous post, would this just be a stepping stone to Ingerlund. Hope not. If all goes to plan we should be back into Europe sooner rather than later and that's where he should be wanting to test himself.

21 Jul 2015 13:50:01
I do see one problem with this. It is obvious (even though he is a rangers fan) that Scott knows he is too good for this league. he has already been quoted in the papers stating he wants to move south. I would love to see him in but I am dubious that hibs would sell their best asset to their main competition for the league. They might as well give us the trophy if we do.

Pieandbov Let's just say, IF Rangers get back to where they were before competing in the top summit and getting into Europe that in itself is a massive attraction for many Rangers players Far bigger than playing in Championship for a "mediocre" side

If he were to attract decent clubs in Engerlund, then there will be a decent fee to pay as Rangers coaching methods, if implemented correctly and given that this club is an institute will inevitably improve a player and put value on a player Unless he's a flop!

We will also have a percentage for a player potentially moving on to bigger clubs in England so I'm not worried about that at all

You do know that Rangers will become more or less a selling club now if the price is right!

Just enjoy what is happening now

Teddy of tHe south Myt be weighing up pros and cons £400,000 is a good offer for someone going next year Stubbs might be saying to himself well there is a playoff at stake So there are two spots to potentially go up! Also if there is any truth that the player wants to go it is often better cashing in for the harmony of the dressing room! Sadly, its all about the money!

On the bright side for Hibs fans

Stubby did fetch Scott Allan for free so to get £400,000 may be to hard to resist!

Agree1 Disagree0

21 Jul 2015 14:19:34
We have to accept that we are a feeder club for English clubs now. Even when we're in the top flight. So if we do get him for £400k play him a couple of seasons we will get more than our money back when he moves on. It's a win win and the way we should be going with regards to developing players and making a profit on them.

Only my humble opinion of course.

hi Teddy- didn't stop Dundee Utd selling there 2 top assets when in 2nd place in the league and n cup semi final!

money talks

21 Jul 2015 15:34:19
IF we get Allan. An I really hope we do. I can see it being 400k upfront with a 10% sell on clause. That way his would get more from a future sale. I can't see Stubbs wanting to sell him to us unless it's something along those lines.

400k for allen is another fantastic piece of business if MW can seal it, a striker after Allen would put the icing on the cake

Any more news about Haris Vuckic or Stevie May signing

Believable2 Unbelievable3

21 Jul 2015 12:35:04
Not likely to sign any of them .

Agree0 Disagree2

21 Jul 2015 12:44:29
MW can't be interested in Vuckic as you would have expected that to be one of the 1st deals to go through.

Stevie May is not good enough for Rangers.

Get Scott Allan and i'd be happy to run with that squad. The strikers we have will score goals no problem with a bit of creativity in midfield. Something we have lacked for years.

Agree1 Disagree1

21 Jul 2015 12:56:16
think both deals non goers

Agree0 Disagree1

21 Jul 2015 13:30:16
May is one of the best scottish strikers we'd have one of the top strikers in the country if he came.

Agree4 Disagree0

21 Jul 2015 13:32:21
None of the pair will be at Inbox!

First, Vuckic would be on around 10k a week so we haven't gone in with any bid whatsoever! Way out of our budget just now

Stevie May, is a different situation, he has twisted his hand to prove himself this year that he is better than last season in the Championship so wants to stay with Sheff Wed for the foreseeable future!

Agree0 Disagree0

21 Jul 2015 16:12:44
If we don't get may I would rather see billy McKay than hairs vuckic

there is definitely something brewing but Hibs are reluctant to sell.MW slightly concerned SA could be upsetting the harmony in the dressing room regarding the wage structure.interesting times ahead

Absolute waste of time bidding that low . Just pay the 900k or 1m and get him

@ Gardner you've been on this site for a while now saying Scott Alan is going nowhere do you now think it's a possibility he will be sold just wondering what the feeling is at easter road

21 Jul 2015 12:53:31
I would like to see this one go through, however as people have said on here and he's said himself, he does want another crack at thon Ingerlund. Are we to be his stepping stone or as he's also a Rangers fan, will he stay?

Would need to be more towards the 800k mark

Agree0 Disagree0

21 Jul 2015 13:05:05
I think 500k with add ons will secure him. Hibs will want the deal to look attractive when it hits the press
