Billy Davies on the short list for the Blackburn job all I can say is venkeys please take him asap and kill off these roumers of him coming to us!

21 Feb 2017 23:50:53
Why the negetive comments about about bill Davies his record in the championship is pretty good had teams in playoffs saved teams from dropping down a league although not my 1st pick he probably could do a job can't see us getting a top drawer appointment due to financial restraints so why not might do well for us.

22 Feb 2017 06:25:22
Mark Warburton also had a good record in the championship.

22 Feb 2017 07:27:24
Yeah but Davies did better than Warburton in the spl, considering the budgets and players

23 Feb 2017 06:51:42
Listen kevin1984,mark warburton has nowhere near the experience of billy davies! Warbs managed one club in brentford, whereas davies done well with PNE, derby county and notts forest twice! Says it all my friend! I just wish folk would check wee billy davies's managerial record out, before they come on here spouting this and that about the guy!

23 feb 2017 10:34:02
we should get mcinnes in for a couple of year to get us better than the rest and once the contracts with the fat rat run out 0r once we get them ripped up then we can get a top manager and give him some kind of spending money

21 Feb 2017 15:32:05
Spoke to a first team Player yesterday and the rumour going around auchenhowie is Pardew.

21 Feb 2017 17:25:36
No you didn't

21 Feb 2017 17:48:18
So are you stalking me and following me about?

21 Feb 2017 18:08:42
Not that I need to explain but my job, and other fellow fan colleagues, allow us to see this player on a regular basis. Like any normal fan I asked him if he knew anything. That was his reply. and I stress he used the word rumour. Now as this is a rumour site I thought I'd share. Ps the next time he gives me a complimentary ticket I'll post on site🤗

21 Feb 2017 18:36:03
Put that in yir pipe papasmurf

21 Feb 2017 19:32:47
If true i wonder if this could signal a comprimise being reached with ashley and see him becoming more involved given his relationship with pardew.

21 Feb 2017 19:40:24
I thought that's why he left Newcastle. couldn't get on with him. No chance King will kiss and make up with lard arse.

21 Feb 2017 22:43:33
Pardew was working with Newcastle for free at one point as Ashley paid off all of Pardews gambling debts. Not sure if they had a fall out afterwards or not though

22 Feb 2017 11:40:43
That was definitely the rumour in the North East

23 Feb 2017 06:02:09
More chance of Alan Partridge

22 Feb 2017 15:36:35
bigcol not saying your lying but can u say who and why they would be telling a supporter this information.

23 feb 2017 10:37:07
where did u hear that guff weedan.
pardew is not the answer in my opinion and we need a manager that knows this league as it is not as it was that's why i'd get mcinnes in

21 Feb 2017 03:16:52
Hearing that both billy davies and gary rowett have held talks with rangers directors, with the view of becoming the new rangers manager! As of yet NO talks have been held with alex mcleish! Rangers directors are also very keen to speak to leeds utd manager garry monk, but would have to wait until the end of the season, if they decide he's their no.1 choice!

21 Feb 2017 09:23:49
lol from Leeds to us?

Also is he no under contract?

If you were a manager with no ties to our club. would you stay at Leeds or come here?

21 Feb 2017 10:08:04
Leeds are as much a basket case as us, but given they have a chance to get into EPL, it is a no brainer.
And I should apologise to Gazo, Gordo, SOF.

21 Feb 2017 10:16:27
To clear the Monk thing up, yes he is under contract but it is a 12 month rolling contract so compensation would be negligible.

Would he leave Leeds who knows but chance to come in potentially lead a team into Europe, possibly dethrone them and maybe make yourself an idol with millions of fans might be enough to sway him (for clarity I doubt he would but nothing is impossible) .

21 Feb 2017 16:45:54
Don't know about the rest of the single fish being spouted but i can assure you that Davies has 100% NOT been interviewed for the job as of lunchtime today Fact!

My source is a Radio pundit that is friendly with Davies

I hope it stays that way

22 Feb 2017 18:41:55
Let's hope so gosman he's not the man for our club not managed for over 3 years and has a habit of falling out with chairmen and getting the sack don't see how anyone thinks he's the answer

21 Feb 2017 02:55:52
Reports suggesting Wilson has been offered the DoF after interview in London.

21 Feb 2017 18:04:59
Any manager coming in is going to want clarity on transfer budget not just wage budget, if we have money why not try and buy Ashley out so we can put money into club through merchandise. We have no money unless there is a major investor coming in we'll never get the likes of de boer or anyone with a chance of going to EPL

21 Feb 2017 22:46:26
"if we have money why not try and buy Ashley out so we can put money into club through merchandise. "

If only! If the solution was that simple, they'd have done it long before now. I doubt Ashley would sell at the moment no matter how much he is offered. It seems this is now personal from his point of view. He's digging his heels in and even though most fans have boycotted the merchandise, he isn't for walking away and cutting his losses

21 Feb 2017 01:56:46
Robert Rowan new director of football. has been interviewed.

21 Feb 2017 01:06:00
What we must understand is that our team/ squad simply do not have the winning mentality required at Glasgow Rangers.

The only thing that can possibly change that until the end of season is bringing in Alex Mcleish.

Billy Davies will not change that, nor will Tommy Wright or anyone of that calibre.

The board need to get their finger out and employ a manager who will give the players the fear to lose a game.

We need to finish 2nd - we then have a summer clearout a restart the DOF and Manager project from there.

21 Feb 2017 01:51:01
Completely agree. I think McLeish would be the best man for the job of it's only short term as he's actually been good the majority of the time when he inherits a team, it's when he tries to build a team that it goes pear shaped for him. I think he's one of the only managers that would accept standing in as an interim with the stage he is at in his career.

21 Feb 2017 06:24:12
The reason the team don't have a winning mentality is simple, the squad is full of journeymen from the lower leagues of English football who haven't won anything in the game! No leaders and not enough people with the club at heart

21 Feb 2017 06:47:15
The full of scottish football is full of journeyman who haven't won anything. that's just the way sckttish football is

21 Feb 2017 09:48:04
Yes but that's what set us apart in the past we've always had winners! Greig, Butcher, Gough, Amoruso, Ferguson Leaders of men who lead by example and set the tone befitting of a rangers player that's all I'm saying

21 Feb 2017 10:23:18
and we can't afford to live like that again i agree our team is pish but we are still third in the league this is our fist season back think some fan need a bit of perspective on here and McLeish short term yes long term don't think so any one remember poalo vanoli and hamed namuchi

21 Feb 2017 22:57:52
Kevin1984, I agree. The players were good last season in a lower division. Most have struggled to perform this season. There is no leader - no Gough, Greig, Butcher type who could grab the team by the scruff of the neck when things weren't going right. Thegers1986 is correct when he says the whole of Scottish football is full of journeymen but our problem is a lack of fight. Wee teams like Dundee, Ross Co and Morton in recent weeks have shown more desire than we have in the games. Dundee on Sunday, the majority of our players lost every 50-50 ball. These guys shouldn't bother training, they should be made to watch videos all day of guys like Souness, John Brown, Tam Forsyth and Graham Roberts.

22 Feb 2017 06:35:40
To a man our squad is better than most (bar Celtic) in terms of what the players have done in there careers, for example Kranjar has played in world cups, Wilson, miller, Wallace all international players, Hill has played in the premier league etc. When you compare that to Hamilton or Ross county for example they have very few if any with a similar CV but the point i'm trying to make is Everytime we play them they are organised defensively and hard to beat and that's the route we should be looking to take for the immediate future, organise, build from the back and see where we are in the summer

22 Feb 2017 09:09:21
Guys firstly i rated and liked big alex mcleish when he was our manager! But why do we keep looking back the way to former rangers managers? Its always the same ie. get walter smith, get graeme souness, get alex mcleish, not for me fellow bears, although i will and always have support any rangers manager, when they're eventually appointed! Jorge The Hammer, i totally disagree with you when you state alex mcleish could change our teams mentality, and billy davies couldn't! Billy davies without a shred of doubt in my mind, WOULD be able to change our players mentality as he's excellent at that, as well as being a very good manager/ coach! He knows the demands of glasgow rangers football club and has an inner steel and confidence within himself! He'd be perfect for us just now, at least until the end of the season IMO!

22 Feb 2017 14:30:20
7 trophies in 4 years and last 16 Champs League. big Eck signed a few dummies in his time. but Warbs Le Guen and even Watty signed a load of garbage from time to time. remember Boumsong nacho novo prso. as well as Boyd as a youngster from Killie. Signed Buffel and Big Marv and Murray from Hibs who were excellent value for money. Also brought through Hutton Mccormack Burke Mcgregor. and cut the wage bill and made £13m in tranfer fees. not a bad job i'd say

21 Feb 2017 00:59:03
Dougie Freedman is going for an interview this week. Big Rangers man and very keen on the job.

22 Feb 2017 11:24:15
im a huge rangers fan can u give the job to me rangers i'm as qualified as a lot of the names we have been linked with, as i have played football manager!

22 Feb 2017 13:05:40
Got an uneasy feeling Freedman is going to get it. If it has to be a Gers man better off with McLeish.
