Rangers confrim on website that a fee has been agreed 'in principle' for Miller on Gers site (McCoist article). Miller will have medical tomorrow. So who will we replace him with, if you think Beattie is good enough hit believable or unbelievable if you want someone else.

There is a story going around at work about some guy called Deacon, never heard of him, but he is a young striker and its some kind of loan. Probably a load of tosh.

Only Deacon i know of is Roarie Deacon that plays in Arsenals youth set up, he is an 18 year old striker. Could be looking at him if Miller goes but i doubt it as we would try and get someone with a bit more experience.

Not a rumour but just a thought. . . If Miller goes we should look to move on Beattie & his wages as he has proven not to be up to scratch and maybe look at the option of approaching Man Utd for the services of Michael Owen on a 6 month deal.

Owen has 6 months left on his contract but there is a 1 year extension built into his contract but it is said that SAF is not going to take up this up.

If Rangers were to get Owen this would allow Man Utd to offset some wages and also allow Owen to prove his worth with his future looking uncertain if the 1 year extension is not taken.

Maybe this thought is way out but I would rather see us try to get a quality player in, to secure 3-in-a-row for Walters final season, rather than trying to sign players like BWP, Healy etc. Dont forget Beattie was bought as one of these players but as proven its been a waste of money.

Kenny Miller was left in no man’s land last night as Rangers rejected a first bid from Bursaspor for their top goalscorer.

The Scotland striker flew to Turkey yesterday for signing talks with the Super Lig club in the company of his agent.

But, last night, Rangers had still not given the transfer the green light, with a down payment bid of £350,000 from Bursaspor — plus further add-on clauses — dismissed by chief executive Martin Bain.

Miller has five months left on his Ibrox deal and can’t move immediately to Turkey unless a fee is agreed between the clubs, although he is within his rights to sign a pre-contract agreement to move at the end of the current season.

Rangers are determined to force the best price possible out of Bursaspor in the knowledge they will somehow need to replace the man who scored 22 goals in the first half of their SPL campaign.
