Hi, im friends with the Rangers transfer gossip and news page on Facebook and they are reporting that Rangers are trying to get Kevin Davies on a 6 Month loan. Has anybody else heard this??

Believable3 Unbelievable11

Why would Bolton loan him out?

Agree6 Disagree2

Not the type of striker we need and plus no chance of getting him.should be looking to bring in 1 with sum pace to play off jelavic ideally. True blue

Agree8 Disagree3

Buy him, never mind a loan deal. He would be sensational up here

Agree6 Disagree6

I haven't heard that - but I'd take Davies on a loan

Agree4 Disagree5

Two words on why dont bother getting K Davis

James Beattie

Agree8 Disagree6

Davies is much better than James beattie

Agree5 Disagree6

Have you seem Davies play!? Twice the player Beattie ever was. He batters the best defenders in that league coyle wants him out does he ain't the total football type he apparently wants at Bolton even though there on there way down

Agree1 Disagree3

Davies is overated everyone thinks hes great with his 3 goals a season

Agree1 Disagree3

He`s thier captain i cant see that
stg

Agree0 Disagree1

Buy him? Ha ha ha. With what? Magic beans?

INS:

Celik - should be completed by tomorrow
Jaager - Next few days, perhaps by next week.

We will move for Sahili and if we are unsuccessful will bid for Sandaza.

Believable8 Unbelievable10

Sandazas a joke of a player he's got 1 pace an thats no f:::::g pace

Agree15 Disagree10

I must have been watchin a different Sandaza from everyone this season, the guy has been scoring goals for a diddy team, imagine how many goals he would score at Rangers

Agree3 Disagree4

He ran our defence around a fair bit last week with no pace in Perth, he's better than Heally who is rank rotten !

Agree2 Disagree1

Sandaza can P*** off, he's not good enough for Rangers and would be nothing more than a bench warmer! We don't need another deadweight player taking up wages!

We should focus on someone who can add something to the team. i would tempt Hearts with a bid for Templeton, i don't care if he is a Tic supporter that doesn't mean he won't sign for us!

If i remember right Neil McCann was a tic supporter before he left Hearts for Rangers!

Agree2 Disagree2

A diddy team we've struggled to beat all season. How many goals would he score for us exactly? With the creative mastery of edu, Wallace, McCulloch and co. Get your head out the clouds mate. We struggle to create 4 or 5 clear cut chances a game and against 'them' you can make that 1 or 2. If Jelavic can't bag them half the time Sandaza won't. We need pace up front. Novo/Lovenkrands kinda pace. Not them exactly, but that type of player.

Bring in Celik, Jagerbomb, Pitbull, The Boy From Rapid Vienna and put a cheeky little loan bid in for David goodwillie. Total spend = Less than 1mil and I think we would comfortably win 4 In A Row!

Believable13 Unbelievable17

So funny.

Agree13 Disagree4

You can't play for 3 teams in one season. Goodwillie has been playing for Blackburn anyway.

Agree10 Disagree3

Stop the goodwillie loan bid
he cant play for three teams in one season.confirm ed ? {Ed014's Note - Correct.

Agree10 Disagree2

Please for f**k sake would ppl on this site stop goin on about us getting goodwillie this year! He has already played for 2 teams this season can't play for 3

Agree7 Disagree1

Are you all livinng in another planet , you are weeks away from total wipeout , the myans were right about 2012 end of days for rfc as we know it

Agree6 Disagree7

You were doing fine up until goodwillie.

Agree2 Disagree1

Its 3 teams in a calendar year is it not?

Agree0 Disagree0

Why can lakkau bad spelling for chelsea be loaned out then ???

Agree0 Disagree1

Pretty sure its two loans in a season. so this could be different

Agree0 Disagree0

celik and maybe the lad jaager ,do you think that will be rangers business done or do you think they might get a striker in

Believable6 Unbelievable6

Maybe pawel brozek on loan

Agree7 Disagree4

I think well take the hondouris guy as smith wants him in,

and maybe bring in a striker on loan or if we can get boyd back?

Agree3 Disagree8

We're tryin to get a polis striker on loan the now pawel brozek who's currently signed by trabzonspor same scenario tho we'll found out in a few days as he's taken his time to explore his options

Agree2 Disagree4

Need a striker with a bit of pace a think. True blue

Agree6 Disagree1

It's only half time in the transfer wndw. Not a lot of activity here or down south. So if the epl starts up moving players in and out, this could have a knock on effect with players being put up for sale or loan and if a striker is in our price range(transfer and wages)I think he will go for one. Could also mean bids coming in for a few of our players.

Agree4 Disagree1

The thing is celik can play as a striker so i think for the most part we are done

Agree3 Disagree4

We already needed attacking reinforcements and new additions before Naismith and Lafferty got injured. Namely a playmaker and a striker...So now, we need at least 3 new attacking players but we'll probably only bring in one and claim that's the problem solved. Can't see us bringing in more than 3 players overall, if even

Agree2 Disagree3

Didn't realise this guy Pawel Brozek couldn't get a game in Turkey. He's 28 and been capped 32 times by Poland and with the European Chmps in his homeland he is desperate to maintain his profile for the international team and the euro champs.(that's the one scotland didn't make it to) Sounds like he is hungry for 1st team fitba and wants to get on the scoresheet regularly.

Agree7 Disagree2

We just need a striker who is willing to move about for the team and can score 25+ goals a season.
good luck alla with a budget of -milions

Agree4 Disagree1

We will possibly sign Celik and Jaager but only cos of the departures of Weir and Fleck. The wages saved from these 2 players will supplement the wages for the 2 we are hoping to bring. Unless someone else leaves and frees up more wages then i think its highly unlikely any one else will arrive. Ideally it would be fringe players like Ortiz that go in order to bring another in however think it will be extremely difficult to punt him

Agree5 Disagree1

If we sell Jela, i reckon the reinvestment will be in the form of that Guerra (i'd take him anyway). We definitely need a striker AS IS and i'm not sure who that could be. Perhaps a loanee from the prem? Muzz

Agree1 Disagree3

Seem to be linked to a lot of upcoming stars!

Agree2 Disagree1

Take a look at some of the above posts!smith wants him...pmsl,erm what exactly has G. Smith done for rfc?apart from spin the jelavic 9million fantasy&its ally who decides is it not,na shame mr tight n smith decides!polis comment too.har har har.

Agree1 Disagree1

When Jager signs clubfoot will be flogged and then we'll bring in another player/striker either the Rapid bloke or possibley the pollish chap on loan, And that will suit me fine.

Re M. Celik

"Despite reports to the contrary, the player has not signed for the club, but the 21-year-old will visit the city on Friday for fitness tests before any agreement is reached," said Rangers

"Ally McCoist revealed last week that the Swedish Under-21 international had been on the club radar for some time and that an offer had been made.

"He can feature on either wing and, having started as a striker, has also played in midfield and has featured for both Sweden's under-19 and under-21 sides." - (that'll be him right back then!)

"We have had a lot of offers for Mervan, 12-13 concrete offers from clubs from big leagues.(WTF!)

"But, when Mervan and I went to Glasgow one month ago, we got a very good impression from Rangers and Ally McCoist. McCoist was the key reason to this transfer."
Bit of support for Ally there - this one is defo his buy.

Believable8 Unbelievable3

Your first sentance says it all "...before any agrement is reached". So there is no agreement, but he's having a medical. Very suspicious.

Agree6 Disagree1

Dont be so confident bears, i think we might have a problem with celik, hope im wrong. blueforyou

Agree5 Disagree1

You are right remember allys last signings the transfer window all duds but all on good contracts

Agree4 Disagree4

A contract has been agreed in principal source sky sports. the original poster conveinently left that bit out!

jellyfish going nowhere on recent performances only plus point is he need to get finger oot to guarantee place at big tournament in summer . we should get the trouble maker at rapid vienna on a pre contract for next season he has good goal record there 40 plus goals in 74 apperances. as for sandaza he couldnt trap a bag of cement.

Believable5 Unbelievable5

What a completely pointless post. Bout a hundred ppl have already said this, but they said it when there was speculation. Your just random n a bit of a n*b.

Mushy.

Agree3 Disagree6

Just heard that peter lovenkrands n glasgow over a possible loan till summer with option to buy ..... Wee hogtog

Agree4 Disagree10

He's injuried

Agree4 Disagree0

Lovenkrands contract is up at the end of the season,so he's free to talk to other clubs.Think he's on 25k a week at newcastle so highly doubt he'll move in this window.

enar jagger will be offered a contract at ibrox this week which will propabley see him signed within days.

campbell

Believable11 Unbelievable5

Poor mcmillan, nt even given a chance
but we are willing to let broadfoot play. actually saw him dribble the ball out of play with so much space to run into.

Agree3 Disagree0

Mcmillaan is nt as good as people make out he s no longer a promising yongster he s 23 and has nt forced his way in to plans he also has been out on loan few times and not got regular games either

Agree4 Disagree1

Hes not forced his way in because super sally gave whittaker a bumper deal at 25k a week and already had clubfoot as backup

John fleck joins blackpool on loan rest of season. Great deal for both parties if you ask me.

Alexcee

Believable12 Unbelievable5

I'm willing to bet that he will be a stand out down there. I really hope he does well and comes back up the road as a better, more confident player.

Agree8 Disagree7

Not a chance the guys a donkey

Agree2 Disagree13

Hopefully he can come out of his shell a bit n show his talent as there won't b too much pressure on him there. True blue

Agree6 Disagree1

Flecks not good enough thats why he cant get a game in a poor rangers team

Agree2 Disagree6

Donkeys seem to do well in blackpool!

Agree9 Disagree1

To me its been terrible mangement of a player considered to be 'the next big thing' when he was younger, yet no one at ibrox could tell you his natural position! a player of that talent should be trained to specialise in a position! he has been allowed to fester on a bench for years! he should have been out on loan before now!! maybe ian holloway migt find out what position he best suits! and hopefully come back and achieve what he should have by now!

Agree6 Disagree1

Agreed, but i think we might have seen the last of flecky in a blue jersey. blueforyou

Heard from good source big boydies had informal talks with mccoist about coming home

Believable5 Unbelievable20

I thought he was in Glasgow, why is he getting ally to bring him home if he's already in Glasgow, cause he ain't signing for rangers

Agree13 Disagree3

Boydie is still in america... he couldn't get a flight back cos his ass takes up two seats

Agree11 Disagree4

He missed his flight back because he was too slow and lazy to chase it.

Mervin cellik hasn't signed yet he will head to Glasgow tomorrow to sign the deal and will sign a 3 and a half year deal on 7 grand a week

campbell

Believable11 Unbelievable4

Well atleast we no hes cummin to put pen to paper

Agree6 Disagree3

I'll believe when he's on the marble staircase wearing our shirt

Agree14 Disagree1

Still need a creative midfielder in the middle plus badly need a striker to partner jelavic a think. True blue

Agree6 Disagree0

He's is a creative midfielder is he not plays the Rooney rule behind the stiker ?

Agree1 Disagree2

We dnt play that system 1 behind the striker but. True blue

Mervan Celik has agreed a deal to sign for Rangers, STV has learned.

The player, who is out of contract after leaving GAIS in December, is set to sign a three-and-a-half year deal to move to Ibrox.

STV understands the 21-year-old has not yet put pen to paper on his deal, but has agreed in principle to move to the Scottish Premier League. He will travel to Glasgow on Friday, where it is expected he will conclude his move.

Believable8 Unbelievable3

Stv talk jimmy white

Agree3 Disagree3

Listen if celik was any good his contract wouldn't of run down without offers for him and he wouldn't be a free agent right now so if your getting excited about him as a signing then we really are in trouble

Agree8 Disagree12

Is that how Mervin cellik had offers in England and Germany but he has decided to come to the champions hopefully we can sign enar Jagger and gorge claros and maby get another striker on loan until the end of the season

campbell

Agree8 Disagree2

These are the sort of players we should be happy to sign, develop them and make money from them.

Agree9 Disagree1

What a stupid comment above, the guy has not even signed and you are slating him. So good young players don't run their contracts down and leave then?, do u know for a fact his club didn't try and keep him?. As far as i know there is a few clubs in for him.

Scott Allan and that lad from Aberdeen who just signed for Fulham are similar situations. Ok maybe he is not top drawer but give the guy a chance.

Why is our club followed by such doom and gloom merchants?.

CJM

Agree15 Disagree3

How would u know that u seen him play u forget we got boumsong for nowt and prso so dont sit there and say if he was any gd his contract wouldnt have run down and he did have offers from england and abroad so get ur facts right before u come on here and slag a player off u dont know anything about shameful

Agree7 Disagree0

^^^i think you have forgotten the impact aluko has had since joining, his contract ran down

RFCJ

Agree9 Disagree0

Scott Allan was at Dundee utd pal no Aberdeen

Agree2 Disagree6

Astonished that people who have never seen him play, have decided already that he is not good enough, seemingly because he has chosen the Rangers. With that kind of supporter who needs enemies. Mind you, you are probably those who wouldn't know where Ibrox is

Agree6 Disagree1

I'm not slagging celik did u read my post idiot. Who says other clubs r chasing him? His agent very good must be true yes Sadi was an is a legend but he was proven and was on about 25 grand a week

Agree1 Disagree1

Scott Allan and that lad from Aberdeen who just signed for Fulham are similar situations.

Read the text before you try and correct someone you muppet, it clearly says Scott Allan & the lad from Aberdeen not Scott Allan from Aberdeen.

The Pilot!

Agree10 Disagree1

I for one I'm delighted they have signed Celik, looks a really good player, so lets not argue guys, and look forward to him playing for the Mighty Teddy Bears

Agree0 Disagree1

If celik was a really good player then there probably would be a lot of teams after him but this doesnt mean he wont turn out to be a good player with a bit of experience and time - just the way the OF got to do buisness these days

Agree0 Disagree5

The tabloids will have their fingers crossed he will - headline dept will go into overdrive.

Agree6 Disagree0

Buying him? Wouldjn't be happening if they had to buy him.

Agree1 Disagree2

They are due compensation, between 1 and 300,00 so yes they are buying him!

GDog
WATP

Agree1 Disagree0

According to his agent , there are three clubs in the frame German, English,[West Ham] and us!no mention of him coming to Glasgow.Hope this aint another we lose out on, seems a very decent player.

Agree5 Disagree3

No mention of him coming to Glasgow? What about the quote in the Daily Record saying he hopes to fly to Glasgow in the next day or so to conclude the deal

Agree4 Disagree1

Same as stv talking about how he is looking forward coming to rangers

Agree1 Disagree2

MERVAN CELIK has edged closer to sealing a move to Ibrox.

The Swedish winger has been on Ally McCoist’s radar since leaving GAIS as a free agent, and the 21-year-old has revealed he is all set for moving to Rangers.

“I’ll be in Scotland soon, hopefully this week, to sign for Rangers,” he said.

The player is an Under-21 internationalist, and although the Ibrox side will be required to pay some form of compensation, it will be nowhere near the 1.5m that the player is valued at.
from the newsnow site

Agree0 Disagree3

People will be happy to know - He is a Turkish Kurd and in Turkish (his Surname) C is pronounced J and not as a C.

Agree0 Disagree0

Why compensation? he is out of contract

JG

Agree0 Disagree1

Whats going happen way this lad tho sit on the bench like the rest or go in the the team i would say get him in the team but mccoist wont do this then again he mite surprise us

Agree2 Disagree0

Compensation because he is under 23 years old, payable to his former club as a way of their fee for developing a player

Agree1 Disagree0

Just listen to you lot....you can't even bring yourself to say his name properly!!

his name is pronounced as it is spelled, so just get over it

Agree2 Disagree1

STV Reporting that celik has agreed a deal with Ranger in princaple

Agree1 Disagree1

Seriously couldn't care how his name is pronounced. If he does eventually sign then all that matters is he helps the teddybears get 4 in a row.

Craig Whyte is set to put Ibrox up for sale with a view to leasing on a long term basis. Various public private partnerships are set to be interested.

Believable20 Unbelievable14

What partnerships please?

Agree4 Disagree0

Not sure if he can sell club while tax case Iis pending.I still think that we are a test case for hmrc as they have much bigger fish to fry in the premier league.also goldman sachs on paid a fraction of their tax debt after court case.

Agree2 Disagree1

Hope its just a sale n get him ae fuk n get sumwan in who actualy knows what a team like us needs n how to run it n will offer us more than 2 mill to spend in a transfer windae a team at chases champions league / europe n titles every yr needs a decent amount to play with . mccolls got plenty muny about him plus it would just b a business investment to him what seems better than taken it on cos yev been a fan all your life like whyte did .. so heres hopen its true

Agree2 Disagree6

Sorry, don't buy this at all!

Agree6 Disagree1

Ibrox the stadium or Rangers FC lol ther is a big diff

Agree2 Disagree1

Is it just me that read that and understood whyte wants to sell IBROX the stadium not RANGERS the club, read carfully before you post a reply, p.s think it would be a good idea no matter who owns the stadium and what they call it, will always be IBROX to us bears W. A. T. P

Agree1 Disagree0

Yes because Craig Whyte running rangers like a business and not needlessly over investing is criminal. Its fans like you that clearly dont understand why we are in the state we ourselves in at the moment. If you want to see a team invest and chase champions leagues go support man city. Until then put up shut up sit down and learn to spell.

Agree6 Disagree2

A understand how the club is where is it the now due to over spendin on multiple players bk in the day .. but would 4-5mill on several players instead of one or 2 no better aff to help us. look what happened to us in europe there put out aff 2 donkey teams as we spent very little n was riddled wae injuries . all am sayin is would b such a bad thing to spent a wee bit more for replacements . or are you happy watchin the likes of mcculloch n broadfoot ?

Agree2 Disagree1

I'd say this is unlikely as few companies would be interested. The reason has been commented on above: we will always know it as Ibrox, whatever the official title. Sponsorship is unlikely, in my opinion. Muzz

Agree0 Disagree2

Yes as I originally posted, Whyte wants to sell Ibrox - the stadium. With a view to leasing back over a long term (20, 50 years etc...)

It is called asset stripping I believe in the financial sector and is how Whyte originally made some of his riches.

Speaking to my source he has been playing a careful game of building up the story of administration with the press and supporters so that the pill will be easier to swallow.

All the previous board were not convinced by this (Murray, Griegsy, Bain etc...) as they saw it as a short term fix, hence why their removal.

Agree2 Disagree1

Maybe he's selling the naming rights like Newcastle, if it was Ibrox he wants to sell we would need to lease it back.

Agree1 Disagree1

It is not about renaming the stadium. A PPP consortium buys Ibrox with a guaranteed tenant for x amount of years...

Agree2 Disagree0

For this to happen, it requires an investor to purchase Ibrox and lease it back to Rangers. Investors look to lease their premisis to a company with a strong covenant (i.e. they are financially very stable). This is not the case with Rangers, and I doubt any investors would touch such a deal with a bargepole.

Investors are very choosy where they want to invest in this market. It's similar to all commercial property investments.

The added difficulty with Ibrox is that if Rangers did go into administration or liquidation and were unable to afford the rental payments for Ibrox the investor would be left with an asset that is a football ground and cannot be used for any other pupose in it's current form and as such could not be leased out, resulting in the investor having no income. Other businesses such as a warehouse or office, can attract a similar type of tennant.

Yes, Ibrox may have development potential, but any investor would see the ground lie empty for years before it was redeveloped, and in the meantime they would not be geting any income from their investment.

This isn't going to happen.

Agree1 Disagree2

Investing in the property of Ibrox, is a no brainer, even if Rangers go into administration.

PPP buys Ibrox for say 40 million, Rangers lease stadium for 50 years at 3 million per year. Rangers go into administration, Rangers then use money from sale of Ibrox to pay off administration. Rangers have no debts, with fewer assets. PPP have Ibrox as an asset and income year on year with a guaranteed occupier. Rest my case.

At the very worst case scenario there will be another club in the form of Rangers, that the current fans will support as the old firm need it. Be it Govan Rangers, West Coast of Scotland Rangers, Craig Whyte's Rangers, WATP Rangers etc...

If there is no Rangers then what happens to 1/2 of the old firm support?

Agree1 Disagree0

No debts...except the 50 year rent at 3m per year=150m payed back.were you a murray employee?

Agree1 Disagree1

If investing in Ibrox is a no brainer then why has it not happened before?

3 million per year my arse, Hampden park doesn't even make 1 million per year.

Wishful thinking, lol.

Agree2 Disagree0

So which pubic body is going to go into a partnership with a private body to buy ibrox! Glasgow city council?......dont think so!

Agree0 Disagree2

The figures were only an example, some people take things too literally on here. I have been informed of possible intentions that Craig Whyte is looking at, not his finances.

Murray done a similar thing with the clothing range a few years back, this was to raise liquid funds.

Selling Ibrox provides liquid funds providing something that Rangers currently do not have.

How many times per year does Hampden get used by the way? Ibrox is used at least 19 times per season for league games and numerous more for cup games and friendlies.

Also ask yourself the question why has a man who is known for liquidating equity (Craig Whyte) teamed up with a property man (Andrew Ellis)? = Liquidating Property

Agree3 Disagree0

Ellis is a property developer. So ask yourself this question.
Is whyte really selling Ibrox to lease back or is he bulldozing Ibrox to develop on it?

All facts? Heard that 1 before, where you get your facts from?

Rangers dont have 800,000, they cant afford to buy, thats why they are looking at out of contracts, pre contracts and frees
they have to sell

Agree4 Disagree4

Only the celik part is correct

Agree3 Disagree1

There that word again. FACT. Let me try, "u talk sum sh**e" FACT.

Agree8 Disagree0

Do people believe ending their rumours with the word fact instantly makes them true? The theory I now have is that if someone on here has to justify their rumours by writing fact at the end it more than likely is fiction. Also if we did have 800k to spend which i highly doubt we wouldnt be risking it on an unproven conference striker. As highly rated as he is there are proven strikers out there for that money.

No money, admin looming, wage bill to be slashed by 7million +, 20million black hole in wages and operating costs by June 2012 if no new capital is injected, no credit line from any bank, no one willing to invest in the club. The list of negatives goes on and on yet this player and that player is coming in, get real.

Hearts have now reduced the price of Wallace because there is a high risk that they will lose a fortune when Rangers fold.

This post has to be a piss take.

Agree6 Disagree8

No he's not

Agree2 Disagree0

How many more ex gers players do we get linked with. He's not good enough just like novo ain't.

Agree1 Disagree1

Boll*cks.... Cause Newcastle dnt need him that means he's comin back to us... Wots ur source etc..., bullsh*t

Agree3 Disagree0

Hearts have reduced the bill cause they need money cause there skint!

Agree3 Disagree0

Heartshave reduced the bill because they know Rangers are in the brink of insolvency and stand to get nothing when the club folds.

Agree3 Disagree2

20 million black hole that's 10 million more than whyte says, your make figures up now

Agree3 Disagree1

10 million is wages. 20 million is wages + operating costs.

Agree1 Disagree0

Hearts are looking to improve their own cash position. Distinct lack of knowledge from the poster who should know that at present football related debt is secure in the event of Administration

Agree1 Disagree1

Hearts have reduced the price of Wallace only if it is paid just now so they can use it to pay their own squads wages. Re-join the real word you fantasists. Insolvency will only happen should we lose the tax case and the results will not be released until march. Do some research to back up your dreams.
