Bring our own young one's through forget about gauld! That's the reason we never bring anyone through! We should not be buying 21yr old scottish players from other teams when we have on of the best complexes in britain simple

Wouldn't be a bad signing, delighted with the profile of our Port-Mex mix but a few more home grown players will help. He is talented and would be a good signing imo.
Players and clubs saying they aren't interested means little these days you only have to look at Harry Redknapps comments last week saying he has no interest in JT whatsoever, the following day he reveals he's done all he can to sign him 😂

when i hear supporters saying we should sign young players like gauld i always think we are missing a trick in terms of bringing through our own youth players

i'm not saying they will all work, but at least give them a chance. Take hardie and barjonas 2 young players in and about our squad just now who i think should get a chance to see what they've got even play them in the league cup

you never know they could be the next durrant rooney etc

To use west ham as an example the players they have brought through is fasting; joe cole lampard terry rio carrick etc etc

Given our current financial predicament it may be just the right time

I saw the vast majority of these players between the ages of 15-17, as well as Michael Owen, Stevie G and others. Hardie will never be that good and Barjonas has some way to go, but looks a better prospect. Beerman will come through and I had high hopes for Burt, but he doesn't seem to be catching the manager's eye right now.

Caixinha has revealed in an interview with Portuguese newspaper, O Jogo, that Gauld was offered to Rangers. He was suggested to us on a loan, but I don't think we should have more than 2 loanees for that position and we're already covered, " Caixinha said to O Jogo (printed edition; page 19) He wasn't needed, even if we recognize his lot of quality and competence. ok he may have 'came through' at Chelsea but he was another product of the west ham youth set up which was the point i was trying to make

All i am saying is our youth set up, certainly in my time going to ibrox last 25-30yrs has been poor for a club of our size - wee barry charlie adam mcgregor hutton aside I can't think too many other real successes and over 25-30 yrs that's just not good enough.

examples of players like ross mccormack not getting a chance then moving on and making a career gets under my skin
