He has 90 caps for south Africa he will be a great role model for the likes of temps and Aird and all the other young players he may old but actually search this guy on YouTube plays like he's 20 excellent signing if we get him and for that price he's a bargain.

See a lot of people on here getting hung up on age, as much as I can see where they're coming from as far as resale value and team for the future will still need for example an experienced defender midfielder and striker, in my opinion

Why must we always be linked with him?!? Getting on and dogged by injuries during his milan time and never seem to have recovered. A lot better and younger players out there that we could pick up

With all these cb getting mentioned I take it macgregor not rated by warburton a shame because he was probably the only player to get any pass marks last season

In response to Skinnyginty. MacGregor is a average at best player who looked good in front of a bunch of overpaid has beens. Or never going to be's for that matter.

I hope you are right. mcgregor is 29 going on 30 I think, too old for Warburton. He was player of the year, because everyone else was terrible. He can't really header a ball away from corners so not good enough for Gers.

Rangers have bid £800k for Scott Allan.
Believable11

18 Jun 2015 14:47:46
Now the Ally defenders, will say with some grounds for their opinion, that Scott Allan was a risk through previous injuries.
But last years price was £zippo and if you are right this year an £800,000 higher spend. Doesn't that quite nicely sum up Rangers over many years- spending far more than was necessary?

Would be a good signing but do we really want to pay that sort of money for someone in their last year?

18 Jun 2015 16:06:55
I'd say it's worth it. We're getting a player who's proven he's head and shoulders above the level of the Championship and it also means Hibs suffer a heavy blow by losing him. A win-win.

18 Jun 2015 16:34:02
as a hibby he wouldn't be a major blow maybe a bit of a blow but we still have some strength I think he may go at £800k is he worth that mmm I will wait and see

18 Jun 2015 17:33:04
Aye, I must say every game I saw him play last year, maybe apart from the last Ibrox one, he stood out. He's a good player, mobile, has a bit of dig and a swagger about him. I think Ally boobed big time by not signing him when he had the chance. As Deano says, he would enhance us by as much as it weakens Hibs. Can only be a good thing

I don't believe this rumour but I believe we will get him. If he was brought in last year he would have probably been sold like McLoed, so we could look at it that way as a positive. 800k is nothing guys come on. He's a fantastic player and only 23. A good investment I think. And as for the Hibs fan, this WOULD be a massive blow for you as he was by far your best player.

He should be a priority signing. He was one big stand out in division last year and only going to get better! Also like the lad at St mitten that got speared he'd be another good signing and would weaken a challenger

Don't want to get in2 paying over the odds again. £800,000 is far to much to pay 4 a player wth a yr to go!

eezyeez he was a big part in hibs last season but 1 man doesn't make a team we have and will buy player who will be a good standard £800k is a lot of money for rangers at the moment so we will wait and see I also would like to see mcgeoch back at hibs as I felt he was on par with Allan in my opinion

Matt Mills is the only one in that list that I would pick. Gunning is an injury risk ( but then so was McGregor last year), Savic has played lower league in Serbia and Germany but WW might have seen something in the U21's with Watford and Cuellar is the past and getting on a bit.
All about the 3 year plan and getting players that will be there for the journey

Cuellar is the best and safest choice as we no he suits the style of Scottish football, Savic played in the 3 league in Germany, gunning I just don't rate. Our back line should be mcgregor cuellar and kiernan
