First Division is out of the question. It's integrity or bust.

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/teams/rangers/9337279/Rangers-would-have-to-start-in-Scottish-League-Division-Three-says-SFL-chief-executive-David-Longmuir.html

Believable27 Unbelievable13

SPL are not letting the brand new club in.
SFL said its div 3.
SFA (Campbell Ogilvie) trying to protect Rangers tried the bully boy restructure and merge the leagues threat. Then retreated.
Everyone now irresistibly entrenched. It's Div3 which means minimum 4 years until Europe.

Agree0 Disagree0

It depends how it is done as to whether or not the First Division is out of the question. If the SPL firstly vote the Newco in (allow the club to take up Rangers' existing registration within the SPL) and then subsequently introduce instant relegation as the punishment for re-admittance into the league for a Newco then the SFL cannot do anything about it (Dunfermline would regain their place in this instance instead of Dundee being promoted) as the club is already registered. Newco or not it will already be a registered SPL club being demoted the same as any other club is when dropping a division.

Call me a cynic but the 'sporting integrity' angle of the SFL may be questioned here as well in my opinion. Which will make the SFL more money? Rangers spending at least three guaranteed years (barring reconstruction) under their banner or possibly only a single year before regaining a place in the SPL. Whilst they remain separate entities self interest will always come to the fore, and if that coincides with perceived integrity then even better for those arguing the moral high ground such as Mr Longmuir.

Brian

p.s. My preference, as regulars will know, is for us to voluntarily go to the Third Division as I believe it to be the best way to build our bridges within Scottish football, so this is not a plea or an excuse to 'allow' Rangers a less severe punishment than any other club would receive. I am merely pointing out that the First Division remains a viable option for the SPL/SFA to consider despite what was written in the article.

Agree0 Disagree0

I agree the newco has to build bridges take our punishment move on to football for the sake of the scottish game

Agree0 Disagree0

If Rangers switch places with the Pars then as soon as they enter the SFL they have to drop to Div 3 or else the league and SFA will face a legal challange from Livingston for loss of earnings by being forced to drop two leagues.

Agree0 Disagree0

Green has not even announced who is in his team of registered players yet transferring into newco....

No players no access to spl, or sfl

Agree0 Disagree0

Looks like Rangers could get their wish to play in England. Twice a year against Berwick

Agree0 Disagree0

It is inconceivable that TRFC will be allowed to walk in to the SPL . It will then become the ONLY club in the division THAT HAS NO DEBT. They could then spend millions on new players. So how than do you think fans of other clubs will react ?

Agree0 Disagree0

Editor I think a couple of things need to be made clear by you (perhaps) Rangers are not being punished it is simply UEFA and hopefully SFA SPL implementing the rules 1 no new club can play in Europe until they have been in operation for three years. Not a punishment just the rules.

2. Liquidated NEWCO's have to reapply to SFL to join the league again not a punishment just the rules no one is picking on you its just the rules. {Ed001's Note - I have made those exact points numerous times, but people don't listen unless it suits them I am afraid.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Pay the newsagent and other small businesses. There is more to life than football. Face the music and regain some dignity. It is the loss of dignity and credibility that I find so hard to take. To me Rangers represented me, my family and my heritage HANG YOUR HEADS IN SHAME YOU IDIOTS

Agree0 Disagree0

SPL here we come!
Club 12 till I die.

Agree0 Disagree0

I can see a scenario where Rangers can play in SFL1.

(1) Rangers are penalised 50 points (or whatever) but backdated to last season rather than 2012/2013.

(2) They now finish bottom meaning they are relegated and Dunfermline stay up. Probably needs Dunfermline to force ths issue on this.

Agree0 Disagree0

Correct to the above poster peoples livleyhoods have been affected lets not forget that the deciet that went on at the old rangers beggers belief fans buisness and creditors not even thought about were is our sorry or remorse from the old board silennnnnnce disgrace

Agree0 Disagree0

"If Rangers switch places with the Pars then as soon as they enter the SFL they have to drop to Div 3 or else the league and SFA will face a legal challenge from Livingston for loss of earnings by being forced to drop two leagues."

Not true. The only way they can swap places is if The Rangers are confirmed as a member club of the SPL on July 4th. If the vote is 'no' then the ONLY avenue that would be available to The Rangers would be to apply to the SFL and begin again in Division 3 if accepted. That is clear cut and indubitable. However, if the vote is 'yes' then they consequently become a registered member club within the SPL upon acceptance. The SPL can then choose to subsequently deduct enough points to relegate them therefore Dunfermline would regain their place in the SPL as they would not have finished bottom in this scenario. Rangers by this point would not then be regarded as a Newco and would no longer be required to drop to the 3rd Division as they were re-admitted and re-registered as an SPL club before being relegated. As for the Livingston situation, the entire issue is that we are looking at the first SPL (NOT SFL - they are entirely different entities with separate league rules and entry requirements) club to be liquidated. They are different scenarios altogether.
Livingston were in the SFL when they went under and were subject to their rules. If Rangers were in the 1st Div when liquidation occurred then the 3rd would have been the only option available to them. The SPL only has one division, if the Old Firm weren't so greedy and bullied their way into breaking away from the SFL and forming the SPL (under the pretence of improving our game - lol, that worked to plan, clearly the game is of a much higher standard than the eighties and early nineties, NOT) in the first place we wouldn't be having this debate at all - the rules would have been clear with clear precedents set. As it stands there are no rules for liquidation within the SPL (ridiculous for a governing body in its own right) and here we are.

Brian

p.s. As I said in my previous post I would much prefer the Div3 route but I am making the point that this IS an option for the SPL to take.

Gers, after a week in which our beloved club died I'd just like to say this! All this feeling sorry for ourselves, have sympathy for us, we've been punished enough, let us enter straight back in to the spl, rubbish.... Take some time out of your own selfishness and spare a thought for one group of people.... THE CREDITORS!!!! No one seems to give a monkeys about their suffering and if we have any ounce of soul and self respect we would be paying them back via the RFF. I don't hear any mention of them by Walter and his band of merry millionaires or Mr Green! How on earth can the newco ever gain respect with this shame hanging over our heads.... Sort it out... Its arguably the single most important thing we can do to rebuild! Sort it out!

Believable45 Unbelievable29

If a newco has no history as its throwing in our faces why the hell should it be forced to pay the old co debt..... Although it's unfair to all creditors of the oldco questions should be asked as to why the rfff didn't pay as much of as possible

Agree0 Disagree0

Absolutely agree. In particular it irks me knowing we owe the ambulance service money and I for one would make a fairly generous donation to the RFF if I knew it would be used in ways like this rather than the ways it has been used in the past. Debts like this will reflect badly on the newco as well as the old one. BB

Agree0 Disagree0

I agree with you mate every penny left in the RFFF should go straight to the creditors but to expect Charles Green to start paying off debts that are nothing whatsoever to do with him is bordering on ridiculous. If you bought someone's house off them cause they couldn't afford to pay their mortgage, would you happily pay their mortgage off as well as your own, I think not. I'm not asking for any preferential treatment or for sympathy, I'm siply asking that we're treated fairly now, everyone likes to remind us how it's a newco with no history, well that also means we've got a clean slate to move on from this mess, you can't have it both ways.

Agree0 Disagree0

Well said from a celtic fan i applaud you hope this all can be resolved and the football can begin again a shiny new rangers untarnished like it was in the beginning we all need to move on good luck to the gers i think the punishment should stop and the real crooks should be brought to task

Agree0 Disagree0

Well said. Too many people are goin unpaid and that money owed could've saved a couple of those companies and saved some jobs.
Frankiebhoy

Agree0 Disagree0

Rangers punished enough your having a laugh, you haven't even been punished. 10 pt deduction irelevant as lost league by double that. Rangers were not banned from europe as thats the rules for a newco they were simply not illegible, and the fine well doubt that will get paid

Agree0 Disagree0

RE: "We have been punished enough"

That isn't true though is it? 10 points in a league where the points would have made no difference. And a European ban. That's not really a long list so far.

Agree0 Disagree0

Great point poster we need a bit of self respect back im hurting about the club annoyed the debt wasnt paid back and realise why there is a backlash from the other clubs in scotland i wish sdm and cw would at least say sorry everyone is against us its the old clubs fault in the making

Agree0 Disagree0

Well said.
Those Creditors.
DECENT HONEST PEOPLE largely who have suffered massively through no fault of their own.
Been Precious few of them around about Rangers for a while I am afraid, and those that were decent and honest held counsel for fear of upsetting the mob when they should have spoken out, or else buried their heads in the sand and hoped it would go away.
(I exclude the fan that posted this and those of you who are likeminded.) No one stepped up.
As a result, Rangers fans have very little to complain about in comparison to the creditors, and must accept some of the responsibility for where they are at.
You are getting off lightly by and large.

Agree0 Disagree0

So new rangers should pay old rangers debts? What about the people who were in charge of this mismanagement? Surely it is they who should be punished? If we've been liquidated we are under no obligation to pay these debts. It's business. Companies have gone bust owing rangers money which we never received. Did setanta not owe us money when they went pop? I may be wrong . However if we are expected to pay one debt we should pay them all. No pref treatment . And we cannot pay these debts hence why we are liquidated.

Agree0 Disagree0

Again why should the newco suffer because of the oldco no history no debt although I would prefer to see all the smaller businesses paid off y dont the fans do something to raise cash to go towards the smaller businesses rather then let an organisation handle it cuz clearly rfff done nothing..... Don't remember Dundee getting this much hassle when they got a cva agreed hardly payin off there debt I kno the two values are completely different but they still didn't pay all there debts at the end of the day

Agree0 Disagree0

Poster above rangers where not aloud in Europe so effectively where banned but that club is now dead a new club has been started so should face no punishment as no history but shood start from the bottom

Agree0 Disagree0

Good point from the celtic man i will be glad when the newco gets established and we can talk about football again hopefully it will be a better new club not just for us but for scottish football in general everybody falling out is not good we are all football fans keep it that way ok the old rangers fc done things wrong in the past lets take the good points forward and get back to the principles of the founding fathers a football team not an excuse for hatred and bitterness

Agree0 Disagree0

So if we shouldn't bother about creditors cos we're a new company then that means we can't lay claim to all those league titles and other trophies?

C'mon let's not be hypocrites.

Agree0 Disagree0

Ah there we have it again a so called rangers supporter being applauded by the celtic lot on this site.Look the bottom line is these people wont get paid its unfortunate but its the fact of the matter. If you lot who say you would contribute to the RFFF if you knew it was going to the small creditor get together get the list of creditors and pay just one of them as a embarrassed rangers fan i will applaud you.But guess what you wont.So if your team embarrasses you that much then keep it to yourself.

Agree0 Disagree0

You haven't been punished at all.

Agree0 Disagree0

I agree that the creditors should be paid in full for all debts, but the only way for that to happen, is if the club is stable and on a strong finanacial footing. Only then can this be achieved. No Club, or solvent Club, no payback. The RFFF was set up for this and must do that duty.

Agree0 Disagree0

Well said the original poster....also to owe the Ambulance Service, just beggars belief, didn't I read that the RFF forked out for grass seed for the pitch ? and yet still owe the Ambulance Service ! talk about upside down priorities.

Agree0 Disagree0

I have to say i completely DISAGREE with you, its not the fans fault the club has been liquidated, we pay our money in year after year to watch Rangers and this is whats happened, its the people that were in charge that should be punished aka Mr David Murray and Mr Craig Whyte, theyve basically took our money and ran the club into a slow death, as for you creditors

21 million in unpaid tax - whos fault is it that wasnt paid = Craig Whyte

27 MIllion from Ticketus - whos took the loan out against the club to purchase it = Craig Whyte

outstanding transfer fee's - Rangers are owed 3.5 million from transfers against the 2.4 we owed out so its void in a sense.

The Rest - Should have been paid for by the disgraced owners again not the season ticket payers fault.

So dont come on here with ur nonsense saying 'have some dignity' and all that jargon when we as in the fans have done nothing wrong apart from support our team. Why dont you email Craig whyte or david murray and see if you get a response

Agree0 Disagree0

The people that missed out on money, the small buisnesses, these people are the salt off the earth, not like the scavengers like white and green, both will walk away with a tidy profit,it is not right, but wee have stood back and watch it happen,i for one feel ashamed to be called a rangers fan,for allowing it to happen.

Agree0 Disagree0

Can the ex rangers fans explain exactly what they seem to think their money should be used for ?? you pay money top watch a match after that it belongs to the club and they can do what they like with it every club uses ticket money to cover the running costs

Agree0 Disagree0

Well said sir! Rangers (and their media friends) like to ascribe the term 'dignity' to themselves. The standad lack of contrition has been shameful. The original poster has shown the first dignified response I have heard to the current crisis.

Was just looking at companies house page

http://wck2.companieshouse.gov.uk/192da3a7c0e830588684f2b4e9bd39a1/compdetails

it would appear rangers are registered as the rangers how can Charles green register as the rangers if its already registered

Believable10 Unbelievable10

It was plc an now its ltd its not hard ffs

Agree0 Disagree0

Ltd not plc

Agree0 Disagree0

So if Mr Green wants a share issue it has to become a PLC so the name will be have to be changed again Am I right Ed {Ed001's Note - no, just the company name, it can still stay as The Rangers.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Surely if a company name is registered then a team cannot be given that name as it would breach the no advertising in names of team rules? The new team can't be known as the Glasgow RedBulls, so the same rule could be brought into play.

Stirling Albion's bid to be known as Stirling Merrkats was turned down on that basis.

Agree0 Disagree0

Why didnt green rename the old co company name, then create the new co with the original name? Thus giving us our old name back

Following talks between Charles Green and Walter Smith and 2 members of his consortium at Murray Park this morning. Heated discussions ended at 12.38pm this afternoon with Walter Smith being physically ejected from the premises by members of Mr Green's security staff. What the heck is going on now this is going to divide the support for Green even more.So much for Walter would be a welcome member of the board. (Source) Ground Staff

Believable57 Unbelievable39

I smell s**te

Agree0 Disagree0

Oh really those reliable ground staff stories, priceless !

Agree0 Disagree0

Rubbish walter is in nice on holiday

Agree0 Disagree0

Isn't Smith in France?

Agree0 Disagree0

Is this true i hope not im backing mr green he has put his money where his mouth is

Agree0 Disagree0

This is actually true... cmmyRFC

Agree0 Disagree0

Thought Sir Wattie was in America trying to stop Kennedy assassination

Agree0 Disagree0

He's on holiday in France ya trumpet

Agree0 Disagree0

Hokis Pokis, the Smith Group will take over eventually when the Rangers supporters refuse to put their money into Greens company, Green is there to flip Rangers but for a better deal than he has been offered up to now, Smiths Group will have to up the ante, say double your money Mr Green, is his first name Hughie ?

Agree0 Disagree0

Pmsl ... Smith is in France do tell us more !! {Ed039's Note - How can you not believe the OP, they were very specific with the time 12.38 lol)

Agree0 Disagree0

Does your source not get the weekend off !!

Agree0 Disagree0

Hokis pokis, say charlie is a bit of a lad, charlie says ok i will take the hit eff you,im bringing in the administrators.Think about it.

Agree0 Disagree0

Old green just might sell murray park,to make up for lost season ticket money.or a player or two,he is not just going to roll over.just watch what you are doing.

Agree0 Disagree0

The OPis true but it was actually 12.43 my watch is a Casio so reely reely accurate.... cammyRFC

Agree0 Disagree0

Sorry pal but i think you are talking a lot of wash. graeme

Agree0 Disagree0

Old green just might sell murray park,to make up for lost season ticket money.or a player or two,he is not just going to roll over.just watch what you are doing.......

mmm, he can't sell any players and Murray Park is worth less than Kyle Lafferty.

Green cannot survive without the fans money, it was one of the main reasons Bill Miller walked away.

Anorak.

Agree0 Disagree0

You couldn't make this up......please be true lol

Agree0 Disagree0

Mr green was going to "stab him in the chest"security only doing their job lol dd

Agree0 Disagree0

Green said things were going o be back to normal so Water asked when he would be getting an EBT so Green said "Ecky Bah Thump!" and Walter said "No Ah want cash" Green said "No brass from me" and things were back to normal.

Agree0 Disagree0

Graeme I am hurt and offended surely you don't doubt my casio? I always phone the talkin clock (i started after they changed it from'TIM' to 123) at 12pm and readjust it to within a second at worst so they were definately there around 12.43pm ...... tearful cammyRFC

Agree0 Disagree0

Nothing to stop sir wattie and consortium renting hampden and starting a newco rangers himself. If fans backed walter then this would force green to sell ibrox to walters consortium.only problem is walter was playing to the gallery. Actions speak louder than words, another fairystory for the gullible unquestioning rangers widows

Agree0 Disagree0

It was actually 00 43 thismorning lol got to chuckle at this fellow bears lol

Agree0 Disagree0

In a word "b****cks" Walter Smith is on holiday in France, night night Timothy.

Agree0 Disagree0

"You couldn't make this up......please be true lol"
..Think someone just did..lolz
..Mr Green will have sold the club on by the end of the week..imo.

Agree0 Disagree0

Wee Warty is in Monaco (flights to Nice) and supping Chateau La Murray with David Murray and Craig Whyte and Jim McColl.

Agree0 Disagree0

Hope ally wasnt the ref holding the jackets ?

Agree0 Disagree0

Yet again, a The Rangers fan assumes something they think is rubbish was posted by a Celtic fan. If you care to check the posts by The Rangers fans on this site, many of them are totally deluded and utter rubbish, so why shouldn't the OP be a The Rangers fan?

Agree0 Disagree0

FFS I thought my club (the mighty Hearts) were in a mess and run by a tyrannical meglomaniac, you lot have got a conveyer belt that just keeps bringing them on. Smith is deluded, Green owns your newco, Whytes laughing all the way to the bank and Murray skulks in the wings hoping the taxman doesn't notice him meanwhile the laughs just keep coming. Thanx Rangers I could get you a gig at the Edinburgh Festival and take your comedy to a wider audience, if Carlsberg did farces..........

Agree0 Disagree0

France was it not the Daily Liar that said that? or are they the Daily Rangers acording to Celtic fans?I know for a fact that Smith has been in Glasgow all weekend. I dont know about OP story but Smith is and has been in Glasgow all weekend.

Agree0 Disagree0

Oh yea he ran in made a quick demand that he wants to buy the club then Fu@ks off tae France before they ask for his Money. Typical of Rangers We Want It We Want it now But dont ask us to pay our Way.

Agree0 Disagree0

In reply to anoraks comment , i think you willl find its rangers who cant survive without the fans , green holds all the aces here , whos to say he cant sell of assets to someone more shady than whyte seems unlikely but hey if you were getting such a hard time from the people youve just helped would you not b temted to just say f&&& them hmmm personally i think smiths a disgrace for this he should have came forward even at same time as green and sorted it out then but blinkers are a great thing eh

Agree0 Disagree0

Just a quick point to the person who replyed to anoraks comment. you didnt survive liquidation means rangers fc died and they arent coming back.

Agree0 Disagree0

Im a celtic fan and wish we had a goalkeeper like mcgregor he would walk into the arsenal side or any other side in epl

Agree0 Disagree0

Really? graeme

One question Ally was very vocal in demanding to know who made up the Panel that sat in judgement of us why wasn't he as vocal about the make up of the consortium that was taking us over - Jaxie

Believable25 Unbelievable19

Who says ally doesn't know who it is lol

Agree0 Disagree0

For a start they aren't imposing any sanctions on him or the club .

Agree0 Disagree0

Duplicitous and double standards comes to mind.
All of his life going forward now he must speak up for openness and transparency and speak out against secrecy, confidentiality and non disclosure.

Ally had previously worn the cloak of secrecy many times at Rangers and remained tight lipped on many issues to the frustration of the press.

Agree0 Disagree0

Up yir jaxie

Agree0 Disagree0

Poor ally the guys had it bad now stuck in the middle between green and smith feel real sorry for him

Agree0 Disagree0

Knowing alistair he is only doing his best its taking his toll on him as you can see even the celtic guys i know say he a rangers man through and through thats allowed

Agree0 Disagree0

Mcoist is a millionaire ffs get a reality check.

Agree0 Disagree0

He knew who the panel was as well.

Agree0 Disagree0

He's the worst manager on record not that we have much records now. !! T.r.f.c

Agree0 Disagree0

Ally knew who the panel were when he demanded 'I want to know who they are'. That's been proven by court documents.

Ally's spineless and trying tk keep his job

Agree0 Disagree0

Sorry but ally has been shown up ...he jump to watties side but mr green is playing hard ball now he looks like an idiot...tuff luck ally

Agree0 Disagree0

Because Walter told him it was aweright Just before he caused it then Ran away tae France before he had tae put his hand in his pocket. How can you take the guy as serious. " When I saw my mate in tears Ijust knew I had to step in" Thought you bled Blue Walter?

Agree0 Disagree0

Ally was on the bbc wall of shame in the EBT documentary. {Ed039's Note - I don't remember seeing him??)

Agree0 Disagree0

Ally mcoist 100 percent respect not like some who have not stood up to counted disgrace from some bears

Agree0 Disagree0

But he was on the patsy kensit bed of shame

Agree0 Disagree0

I am aware that he knew the make up of the panel, and that he may even know the make up of the consortium. What I am saying is given what has happened over the last 12 months why isn't he as a Rangers man campaigning for transparency from Greene & co - Jaxie

hi ed any news on naismith goin everton {Ed001's Note - nothing will happen until their contract situation is sorted.}

Believable10 Unbelievable18

Wishful thinking ed!

There is no doubt about their contracts. It's the registrations that are the issue. Everybody knows the law here, nobody doubts the players rights to walk away. It's just a matter of who blinks first and goes public. The agents want the SFA to confirm what everybody know so that their clients don't have to be the first to take the possibility of a court case. The SFA want a player to say they're not being tupe'd and let their lawyers prove what they already know so they don't take the heat. Green and Smith want to put all the pressure on the players to stay in full knowledge that the threaten and boycott brigade an be whisked into a fury when the first player walks!

For all you Rangers fans who believe the history has survived. Here's Charles Green saying it doesn't

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0k0IkDTPQWU&feature=related

Believable62 Unbelievable76

Not saying one way or the other whether the history etc has been transferred or not but your link certainly doesn't prove that, however that's not why I'm posting, I just want to say that if this is the case then surely even the most ardent anti-Rangers people can logically see that the outcome of any dual contact investigation and therefore sanctions cannot be held against the newco. You all scream to strip us of titles etc but if we have no titles and no history then it is not this newco who has committed any offense therefore they are not liable for punishment. I also want to say that I'm not one of the Rangers fan who is always on here blaming everyone else or trying to worm our way out of it, just making the point that if we have lost our history then that also includes the bad history not just the good.

Agree0 Disagree0

We wont lose our history, well the real fans wont. (fact). history isnt always written on paper but imprinted in your heart. todays events are just another addition to OUR HISTORY. and onward we will march. steviebear. RTID

Agree0 Disagree0

The history is just beginning..... If this brand new club can even get started.
Green is sounding out the Chairmen one at a time. To see if he should bother applying to SPL. He knows there's no euro money for 3 years..... Sfl3 is no Europe for min 4 years....it's a setback but he needs season ticket sales to buy be players and operating costs. He needs a share issue through Zeus capital to trouser his profit by selling a % of his 100% shareholding. (if a CVA had been agreed he would have only had 85% of the club!)...D&P pocketed the Ł5.5m.

Agree0 Disagree0

The " Celtic " car was given new number plates in 1994. It's old, but in mint condition and runs really well. In June 2012 the " Rangers " car was scrapped and sent to the crusher. Charles Green bought you a shiny new model with zero miles on the clock i.e. with no history. The log book and service history from the old car are now on a shelf gathering dust. Simple.
Liah Smit

Agree0 Disagree0

I seem green has a ground, and so far just one player - thats not sufficient to field a team capable of competing in the SPL and fulfilling a full season of fixtures.

Green bought gers assets for Ł5million - and we know most if not all of that goes to D&P - so how does he run it going forward... whats his business plan... ?

Does not sound a viable proposition, 1 stadium, 1 player, no funds ???

Cant see SPL teams voting for this shambles... can you?

Agree0 Disagree0

It does survive

Agree0 Disagree0

The history lives on with the fans. Our history might not be recorded on a piece of paper but it will be in every fans mind.

Agree0 Disagree0

If Celtic fans really don't think that the newco is Rangers then surely, out of fairness they wont want the newco to take the punishment that the SFA might hand the new club? I wierdly enough, want rangers newco to be punished now, as it is a living proof that it is the same old rangers!

Agree0 Disagree0

He's hardly a reliable source he had 20 investors at the beginning he now has 5

Besides SFA have cleared this matter up they're going to punish the newco they can't punish it if it has no history therefore history remains. So nice try but WRONG

Agree0 Disagree0

Why does it bother you so much about OUR history?.......why are you obsessed with The Glasgow Rangers?......History is in our Hearts......where the liquidators have no jurisdiction......we will ALWAYS be RFC, world record title holders.

Agree0 Disagree0

Agree with what your saying but the history is still history, it needs to be correct though! an investigation, if it proves cheating needs to result in the titles being stripped and the history (even though it is now finished and cant be added too) needs to be stating true facts. i dont follow rangers but if i did i would not want any tainted titles being associated with a club i use to follow (obviously cause there dead now they can no longer be followed)

Agree0 Disagree0

Stop and think! History will always survive because we cannot change the past, what is done is done. The moot poiunt is can the history attached to a club which no longer exsists be transfered to a new club which takes over? The logical answer is no, otherwise we could all claim that the acts that our fathers carried out, as our acts, As a Rangers supporter, it saddens me that all the history of the old club ceased on the day of liquidation, but that is also now a historical fact that cannot be changed. The long and short of it, is its the end.

Agree0 Disagree0

OK so you want to keep your history..absolutely fine!..just watch over the next few weeks/months your history being eroded away as league titles and cup wins are removed from your history!...watch with interest newco fans!...ps the shocking scenes of violence and destruction in manchester 2008 are also part of your history that will never be removed i give you that!...

Agree0 Disagree0

What makes a football club is its supporters - what they stand for and reason they love there club - I am sorry to put a rain on your parade but the rangers fans are still very much alive and we will fight on

Agree0 Disagree0

And to all the celtic fans, IF 'The Rangers' are a new club, please do not be prejudiced against a new club, won t expect it though.

Agree0 Disagree0

He was just trying to get the rangers fans to go agaist king! we know we wont lose our histroy, but the way he worded it it came accross as King wanting to wipe rangers histrory, go check out clubs like leeds utd and fiorentina, both have gone through the exact same process with a newco, and they still have all there history! {Ed039's Note - Fiorentina had to get a courts permission to become Fiorentina again, the changed their name to something like La Viola for 2 years before being being legally allowed to change back)

Well said steviebear

Agree0 Disagree0

Well said mate , i will always love my club no matter what

Agree0 Disagree0

Only a time machine can change history!

Agree0 Disagree0

Newco has no history and some deluded fools need to get their head's around that.

I don't think newco should be punished for oldco's breaches. Newco should go to division 3 like any other new team

Oh... And strip some titles from old oldco. Rewrite some of their history

Agree0 Disagree0

Go away you sad person, glasgow rangers will always live on.....whtye take the rap for administration, green for liquidation and sir walters consortium ride in and take over our debt free club. 3rd div, 1st div, spl, who cares, we, the rangers football club will never die watp

Agree0 Disagree0

If I buy a house that has become available through the previous owner going bankrupt (insolvent) and I apply for credit to buy, say a new car. The credit check would throw up the previous owners misdemeanors. This is the HISTORY of the house. The history stays! {Ed039's Note - Really bad comparison)

Agree0 Disagree0

It may well be in the fans minds forever, but the next league "the rangers" win, will be number 1, not 55 like may of you think

Agree0 Disagree0

On paper it maybe number 1 but not in our minds.but I think its fair to say when and if we win the spl again it will be the sweetest of victories.we will rise again and take our rightfull place as Scotland biggest and most successful club.watp

Agree0 Disagree0

No history, not even a club yet.still far too much to do before newco can play this coming season.why do some newco fans refuse to get behind the man who stepped up to the plate,at least he done something positive and is working his butt off.newco in the spl i hope, but the history is gone.bb

Agree0 Disagree0

Rangers will still be punished for ebt and transfer ban because they are still the same football club, same club same history. Different company running them !

Agree0 Disagree0

If i am the bootleg beatles, i do not have the beatles history.

Agree0 Disagree0

Its sad the history has gone only in the memory of the fans who witnessed it its the old clubs fault rules were broken lets hope the rangers football club can start a new a few sorrys would go a long way to gain a bit of respect

Agree0 Disagree0

History liquidated with club

Agree0 Disagree0

Ok so the bbc stv and a judge lord glennie r all wrong wen they say a newco keeps its history ffs rangers fc plc formed 1899 was liquidated not the club formed in 1872 we still have the 54 titles and the only way the newco wont have 54 is if they get some stripped

Agree0 Disagree0

Newco has no titles - if you want the history then all punishments must come with that.

Agree0 Disagree0

Well if rangers plc was liquidated and not the club then the spl and sfa have every right to hold you responsible for the sanctions

Agree0 Disagree0

History is history and can't be changed by Celtic fans, or anyone else

Agree0 Disagree0

You have no history , if you do not accept it, fans will remind you every game.

Agree0 Disagree0

Wrong

As the BBC put it: “The Rangers Football Club PLC is a public limited company registered in Scotland (company number: SC004276) and was incorporated on 27 May 1899. When the current company is officially liquidated, all of its corporate business history will come to an end.”

Any new club formed will be exactly that: a new entity that will start from scratch with no history and no pedigree. Whether that new club could manage to secure a place in one of Scotland’s football leagues remains to be seen.

Agree0 Disagree0

Looking at these comments I agree with most. Iam a Celtic fan and no punishment should be placed against the rangers fc as it is a new club, but as such it should start at the bottom of the pile. The history of rfc will always be there, but will never oncrease matter if the fans think its the sme club in their hearts

Agree0 Disagree0

Lets forget all this history rubbish move forward unite lets step up for the newco and prove our new club can be the best onwards and upwards

Agree0 Disagree0

Tricky this, if the history transfers and some titles stripped then the newco could be liable for losses incurred by teams that missed out which could then bankrupt the newco. Maybe a clean start is the better option.

Agree0 Disagree0

The history will always be there. It might of course be amended in regard to ongoing investigations and subsequent sanctions. But this newco/club cannot have any claim on the oldco/club achievements or misdemeanours.

Agree0 Disagree0

New club shouldn't be punished for any faults of the old club, it is a new club!
Sorry but old clubs history is now exactly that, history (or at least it will be when the big L hits in 6-8 weeks).
People use Celtic as an example...
Fair one, but explain this then...
When Celtic went to a PLC they didn't need to re-apply for membership of the SFA, so what it the fundamental difference between the two cases?
Oh yeah, RFC(IA) are being liquidated.

Agree0 Disagree0

Having no history is no bad thing
It means we have a 100% unbeaten record.
It means we have no baggage from the past.
And if we have to start in Div 3 we will win a title. Which will be one that the Celtic don't have.

Agree0 Disagree0

Your right history cant be changed and thats why it will stay with the old club you cant buy it either

Agree0 Disagree0

Oh ffs, here we go again! Right settle down children and pay attention! Old co not yet liquidated, still in administration! New co formed and buys assets relating to Rangers Football Club! That includes the name, stadium, training ground and other parts including the history! Club continues to function whilst the financial holding company goes through liquidation process! There is a distinction between the club and the plc! The courts of law have already recognised this and stated as much! Of course why should that matter to the self confessed financial, legal and tax experts who have shown up the last few years! Hating Rangers is the only thing they live for! It's even more important than supporting their own team! Kinda tragic really!

Agree0 Disagree0

To above ... dont talk a load of crap a liquidated business cant be sold what part of that dont you understand ?? when the old club gets liquidated a judge will put an order stating that club can no longer trade all green has bought is the premises and will start a new club your listening to to much rubish being fed to you bye desperate blue nose reporters and if what you are saying is true then creaditors would come after you

Agree0 Disagree0

And if they are buying the name then why have they changed it ??

Agree0 Disagree0

As was stated, if you had read it properly! Old co not yet liquidated! Assets sold as part of administration process! Why would they change the name when they paid to own Rangers football club? I don't understand why so many supporters are desperate to see the death of the one of the biggest clubs in the world! Jealousy or just pure outright hatred? I'm Rangers through and through and I would never want to see any Scottish club die! In fact if I had the money I would put it into any club facing these problems...even Celtic! Some football fans aren't as bitter and twisted as others!

Agree0 Disagree0

Jealousy or just pure outright hatred?? if thats the only choice then it would have to be just pure outright hatred but anyway answer this then smarty pants old co not yet liquidated newco registered as the rangers so right now their are 2 clubs the spl will decide if the spl share can be transfered from one club to the other so how can you say its the same club and listen up ... if it was the the company that owns rangers getting liquidated and not the club then would that not be sevco ??
