Tavernier bid supposedly accepted and a £1m bid for May supposedly been put in along with a bid from Aberdeen

Believable12 Unbelievable11

18 Jul 2015 12:06:48
That would be 2 good signings if it were to happen

17 Jul 2015 19:32:10

Here's hoping

17 Jul 2015 22:05:04
can anyone honestly say we will spend £2m that's more than we spent on players in the last 3years even after over £70m in the kitty we only spent on temps

Agree1 Disagree0

17 Jul 2015 22:28:27
Aye, here's hoping!
I'd love to know where/whom these rumours come from because I work with an ex player and he can't (won't!) tell me anything!

Agree2 Disagree0

17 Jul 2015 21:31:23
1m for May now I may be rong but did he not go from St Johnstone to Sheffield Wednesday for around 500,000 when he was playing well and scoring regularly if so how has his price tag suddenly gone up after a unsuccessfull spell.

Agree1 Disagree0

17 Jul 2015 23:14:33
Anyone else think waghorn isn't really a step up, I don't know much about the lad but his goalscoring record is not very good. Although stevie may seems like a promising signing.

Agree1 Disagree0

18 Jul 2015 00:35:59
Pie and bovril who is this ex player with so much insight into what goes on around ibrox and we already have taken in around 8-9 million in season tickets so 2 million is realistic

Agree0 Disagree1

18 Jul 2015 08:52:29
to be honest can't help but think may would be a good signing but for £1m seems a bit extreme, if its true to have made 8-9m in season tickets too spend a quarter of that on 2-3 players seems a bit out of sight. WATP

Agree1 Disagree0

18 Jul 2015 09:53:51
That's what I'm saying Weeman, he's an ex player but can't tell me ANYTHING as to the goings on at Ibrox. I'm fairly certain that if he had a bit of knowledge he would pass it on as he does still have contact with some of the staff still there. It's great to read these rumours but that's all they are!
Oh and his name is P. McK, made his breakthrough in a very star studded team but sustained a horrible injury which he never fully recovered from and moved on. He was so well thought of though that the "old regime" still visit to this day!

Agree0 Disagree0

18 Jul 2015 12:53:18
Well I am hearing that Wagging is no longer an interest from Rangers Warburton is interested with Wigan RB Tavernier and can get both him and Stevie May for a combined price of 1m So whoever told you about May costing 1m isn't quite accurate it's more on the lines of £600,000 and an improved offer of around £400,000 for Tavernier

Agree1 Disagree1

18 Jul 2015 14:19:50
Kaz dono who has told you m ay will be 600k becaus Dundee United have offerd more. Tavernier is also costing just over the 400k mark mate. All I done was pass on the message I got anf by the looks of it I am pritty spot on so to moan about me puting wrong figures down is a little pathetic.

Agree0 Disagree1

18 Jul 2015 16:51:39
Nah no moaning at all! I just know that Rangers wouldn't entertain May at 1m and would they His valuation is around £600,000

Agree0 Disagree0

18 Jul 2015 16:16:15
Now now gentlemen. Let's not get personal. Save that for the Celtic fans.

Seriously there are a few posters who need to learn to respect others opinions. I Have had pelters myself for pointing out the obvious inadequacy of our squad and transfer business.

Rather than debate the issues iv even been branded a Celtic fan!

Negative Luigi!

Wigan had already rejected a £200,000 bid from Rangers for Tavanier and value him at around £350,000 as for Waghorn been told we have cooled interest for him, hence why we have gone in for May at around £600,000

Dundee Utd would never make a bid of over £600,000 for Stevie May!

Agree0 Disagree0

18 Jul 2015 19:45:29
Apparently a deals been agreed in principale for waghorn&tavernier

Agree0 Disagree0

19 Jul 2015 00:20:28

19 Jul 2015 09:46:51

Hearing from a source inside Murray Park that Stevie May will be signing up. Sheffield Wednesday have been taken over by millionaires and are looking to bring in a fresh strike force including the likes of Jordan Rhodes. Rumour has it that May is wanting away as he wants game time. bears.

Believable13 Unbelievable6

17 Jul 2015 20:01:31
Unlikely that this is true but apparently Sheffield Wednesday have accepted a £1m bid from Rangers for Stevie May

30 years old, decent goalscorer, wouldn't be a bad signing

Agree0 Disagree0

17 Jul 2015 13:45:47
Disagree. Would be surprised if this is true. Approaching 31 so athletically past his prime and been kicking around in League 2. Would much rather give our young guns a crack. We already have one wise old head up front. Don't need another.

17 Jul 2015 14:25:56
he has had more clubs than colin montgomery early in his career he changed hands for quite a bit of money scored a lot of goals but just never seemed to make it big strong player think he ended up at crawley not sure though

Agree0 Disagree0

17 Jul 2015 15:24:50
He was released by MK Dons & has signed a 2 year deal with Crawley

Agree0 Disagree0

17 Jul 2015 19:26:47
Neither has anybody else.

Agree0 Disagree0

17 Jul 2015 20:36:21
He had a trial at hibs last year but wasn't offered a contract

Agree0 Disagree0

17 Jul 2015 10:17:30
Rumour going around is may deal is basically done? This is from Sheffield fans. Or is this just because they are desperate to get rid of there flop?

Believable1 Unbelievable13

17 Jul 2015 12:06:19
May will do well for us he banged in goals for Hamilton at level. I remember being told of a scottish guy who moved down south from St Johnstone in the 80's things didn't work out so he moved to Rangers the rest is history.

Agree2 Disagree0

17 Jul 2015 14:49:06
Smiler
That was the good bit of his history he created, the rest was clueless and rank rotten!

Agree0 Disagree0

17 Jul 2015 19:27:37
As far as I know 1m has bn agreed

Agree0 Disagree0

17 Jul 2015 22:14:12
Aye I mind that guy from St Johnstone and I wish he had stayed in Sunderland as we might never have had our team destroyed by him then plenty other strikers could have knocked in 1 goal for every 5 chances served up by Rangers on a plate in that era he missed more than most strikers people unaware of that due to goals scored

Wish he had walked away

Agree0 Disagree1

18 Jul 2015 08:33:02
Cant beleive the small minded people in here slagging Ally. get a grip the guys a legend who scored a barrowload and managed the team in what was the toughest spell in our history. granted he wasnt a great manager but his status as a player should never be brought into question

18 Jul 2015 09:51:38
KT, give it a rest eh. We're you the only fan who would not celebrate when McCoist scored. Get over it.

Heard a rumour from a sons pal whos dad is part of recruitment team at ibrox we are looking to pull off the coup signing of a young chelsea player. didn't name names but he thought it may be todd kane? I don't know anything about the young lad is he worth signing if true?

Believable3 Unbelievable14

17 Jul 2015 10:19:28
Did Todd Kane not sign for Forrest in January for 250k

Agree1 Disagree1

17 Jul 2015 10:54:12

I've heard that we have put in an increased bid for James Tavernier, unsure as to how much the bid is, however I believe it to be around 200k mark.

Believable5 Unbelievable6

17 Jul 2015 14:31:01

Agree0 Disagree0

17 Jul 2015 09:20:09
Press reports stating that Andy Halliday should be signed today and that Jason Holt will be signed from Hearts if compensation can be agreed. That will make six new signings and the feeling is good.

Believable14 Unbelievable4

17 Jul 2015 19:57:28
Now 7.50PM and no news of him signing. Before xfer deadline players are being signed within 15 min. What's the score at Ibrox why does it take so long to sign a player that they want?

Agree0 Disagree0

17 Jul 2015 07:31:59
Stevie may deal is apparently a "done deal", season long loan with option to buy for 700k.

Believable12 Unbelievable13

17 Jul 2015 08:03:47
That would be a surprise I thought Dundee Utd wanted to buy him, although that could well have been paper talk. time will tell I suppose

17 Jul 2015 09:56:42
Would definitely love this to have some substance but I have my doubts sadly :(

Agree0 Disagree0

17 Jul 2015 10:21:10
Would bee ideal he's a natural goal scorer but will believe it when I see him with the gers top on

Agree1 Disagree0

17 Jul 2015 13:23:49
No no no no! This would be a horrific mistake if they were to sign him! Hope this is rubbish!

17 Jul 2015 14:29:44
