O'Halloran saga to be concluded tomorrow with an initial fee of £400k plus add ons likely to be accepted by Saints Board who have meeting scheduled for 10am.
The player is keen to sign, he should have no probs agreeing personal terms and passing medical and will be handed the number 10 vacated by Oduwa.
I've been advised Gers are close to agreeing fee with Brentford for Diagouraga although I honestly have no idea about how much he will cost but reading between the lines it will be roughly £500k.
We have also enquired about Lewis McLoed who is currently playing for their development squad after lengthy spell on sidelines due to injury, as far as I'm aware he is being targeted for Summer switch and we are just enquiring about price and if he would be available at this stage.

O'halloran is comin this week 3 n half year deal or 4 year contract i believe wages will be between 6 to 8k a week at least he's the 2nd best player in scotland after griffiths accordin to pat neven n Michael stewart on sportcene. _so rangers fans get ready to welcome this lad we open arms he's terrific and will tear celtic apart next season.

Still Not Official Bud.

All the criticism about the signing of O`Halloran means nothing.

Would rather have him than Oduwa, without any shadow of doubt.

Warburton will get the best players he can who can impact the SPFL next season.

Diagouraga and O`Halloran are top six premier league players. No one can argue with that.

Would like to wish the lad every success in the rest of his career, I know it didn't pan out great for him here but I guarantee the memories of playing for the mighty Rangers will stay with him forever, once Ger always a Ger, good luck young man.

Sotonbear, I totally echo your comments and would like to also wish nathan oduwa all the very best from the greatest football club in the world, the rangers family!

I know I will prob get slated but I'm not that impressed with Zelalem, just don't think there's an end product to him, you will get the odd bit of magic, but I think he slows our attacking style of play down whenever he gets the ball .

I would agree, Zelalem is far too soft. He bottles it when guys come near him.

17 Jan 2016 14:28:48

Great signing. Now hopefully the DM from Brentford and we'll be laughing.

alby1212,I think you're jumping the gun a wee bit as regards to us signing michael o'halloran when we haven't yet agreed a transfer fee with st. johnstone, I'm not saying we won't sign him but I can assure you it ain't done yet and this is coming from me the guy who posted on here around 3 months ago that rangers were wanting o'halloran and warburton was even sounding out how o'halloran lived off the park as well as his ability on it, as I've repeatedly said on here a very good friend of mine knows o'halloran and members of his family and he gives me the reliable info on it, so there you have it mate.

With odowa now gone even with the 2 signings that are close I wonder if we will sign another young player from the epl, that would I imagine our January work done, I would be happy with that squad to win this league, then the hard work starts in the summer, what does other fans think?

17 Jan 2016 19:06:49
If o'halloran does join like as expected
He will probably join on a 3 nd a half
Year deal.
