Warburton is said to be interested in Alex Gilbey who is out of contract in the summer.

21 year old midfielder and plays for Colchester United, and his current boss is of the opinion he could eventually play in the Premiership.
Don't know where your source of information is from but no mention of Rangers being linked with this player.

Like another poster on here said a few days back I've also heard that we're looking at both leeds utd captain and centre half sol bamba and ipswich town centre half christophe berra with our management team very keen to sign one centre half from the two, I personally would prefer bamba, he's still only 31 years old which is still young for a centre half.

I can't agree with a few posters on here who said they wouldn't want rangers to go near bamba, WHY? Bamba imo has everything more than any centre half we currently have at rangers, very solid and strong in the challenge centre half, very dominant in the air, is no slouch for pace, he would breeze it up here in the scottish premiership so for the life of me I can't understand why some posters on here have stated they wouldn't touch him, bamba also plays regularly for his country the ivory coast into the bargain.

Sol Bamba has always been an accident waiting to happen mate, that's why he never last's more than 2 seasons at a club. He is certainly not the answer to our defensive fragility. I don't think MW or Davie Weir will b asking Dave King to part with the reddies for him.

Hope I'm not wrong.

Bamba is defiantly not good enough for rangers and never will be . He played for Hibs and was complete and utter bomb scare he's not good enough sorry we should be trying for better.

I've said this in response to some other Sol Bamba related posts. Sol Bamaba is not, I repeat not, coming back to Scotland. He views it as a step backwards. That comes straight from the mam himself. Or rather, a girl who lives in Pollok who he likes to see every now and then.

Not seen Bamba play for a long time so I can't comment. Must be half decent if he is the captain of Leeds but clearly not a world beater. I would prefer someone else.

W15 have you heard anymore about Jason Cummings?

{Ed001's Note - I would ask on the Leeds site what they think of him. The most common opinion is that he played really well for a few weeks to get his contract and then has coasted ever since and they would be glad to be rid.}

Have to say warbs, I think bamba would be a huge gamble, we need to have a solid back pairing, baMBA is susceptible to too many bombscares.

Heard a rumour that john fleck will be signing a pre conract in the next few weeks.

15 Apr 2016 13:47:33
I hope not he walked away in 2012. So he doesn't get to come back now where heading back to the top.

15 Apr 2016 14:44:08
Wouldn't want Fleck back. A poor man's Barrie McKay.

15 Apr 2016 23:54:02
A poor mans barrie mckay? Has he transitioned into more of a holding midfielder. Could be just what we need.

16 Apr 2016 08:18:35
WTF?

16 Apr 2016 12:42:45
I think fleck would be a really good signing whether he left previously or not, if I remember correctly did he and mccoist not c eye to eye and that was his reason for leaving (unofficially of course)

16 Apr 2016 21:49:33
Not progressed at all, forgot all about him shows how well he is doing down south.

From what I'm hearing, you will have to adjust your signing rumours as it seems Warburton's playing budget for next year will increase by just £3.7m or by £4.8m if we win the Scottish Cup and qualify for Europe. This money will have to take care of transfer fees (if any) , wages and agent fees. This will be boosted by any wages saved on players who leave, possibly another £500-600k. So I can't see anything but Bosmans here if we are looking at adding about six players, but there are going to be a few juicy ones available, so good luck to the gaffer in that market.

15 Apr 2016 07:38:24
That's a good budget.

15 Apr 2016 10:55:43
There's a few leaving in the summer. Templeton, Shiels, Law, Clark, and hopefully Bell. So there will be a lot of money saved. Warburton said 5 or 6 but he's already signed Crooks and Windass. He'll be going back in to the loan market too. I expect us to spend our summer budget on 4 players of the highest quality. Good enough to walk straight in to any team in the country.

18 Apr 2016 02:06:09
Did you see the bench today, PigeonStrangler? We need a lot more than four if those you suggest do leave. Including the two signings, we've got a squad of about 20 and if 5 go that's just 15 for the SPL and, hopefully, Europe. We need at least another six, maybe more, and £4.8m pluss those saved wages won't stretch to transfer fees of any size. Being realistic here, that's all.
