scott gallagher has requested for his contract to be ripped up after rangers offered simonsen another contract gallagher is fuming at this. you heard it here first. WATP

It's an absolute joke that simonsen has been signed again when Gallacher is still there he's every bit as good as bell and still young. As usual McCoist overlooks youth it's becoming a joke!!

If this turns out to be true then I can't blame the lad, he is a good young Goalkeeper. We should be looking after our young players as they are our future. Even our young payers seem to realise they won't get a chance under McCoist. Best of luck to the lad whatever happens.

Folk should really look at the stats in terms of youth being given a chance instead of jumping on the press bandwagon. How many youth players you wanting on the park at one time? what successful team relies on youth to win league titles?

Don't think Gallagher is in Ally's plans, he seems to prefer Simonson and young Kelly! personally think after this season Kelly will be No. 2 next season.

And! Who cares? And what's all this, uck that's ally again, not going with youth! Get a life man, go with your best players no matter what age, he can't b that good, if he wants to leave rangers, well bye bye! A real professional footballer, would either get the head down and work harder to get into the team, or go banging on ally's door asking what's happening, end of! Ano it's a rumours webpage, but some folk just don't think before they speak, Glasgow rangers is the best club in the world, and nearly 90% of the fans would play there for nothing, or give there everything just to b involved in such a brilliant club! Get off ally's back with this youth crap, your reading them daft papers too much!

Gallacher is 25 not exactly a youth player

Aldo a team called manchester united won the league with a squad of youngsters ime sure youve heard of them they play in the premier league in england maybe try it on google lol

Listen to some of you. Whining and moaning about a less than average player potentially leaving us because he won't be sitting on the bench every game this season. And there it is again, "ally overlooking youth". Just shut up. Look up our youth players statistics over the last two seasons and compare them to other clubs in Europe. We've given half our youth team chances to shine. The best ones have stuck in a made over 50 appearances. Some of you have to wake up and realise that not every player under-25 player we have is capable of playing for the first team.

DeanoMack who is this post aimed at?

To the people in this post saying stop jumping on the press bandwagon can you see anyone in this post who has said give the youth a chance all I said was gallagher wasnt happy about this. So Get a grip.

Tmwnn I think Ed001 has pretty much got this one lol so no need to reply.

Well in the press, the same press that hounded us out of the SPL with the rest of the halfwits jumping onto the HMRC bandwagon, KEEPS STATING how bad it is because ally won't play a team full of youngest, well for the folk out there that knows their football, that's just not possible, especially for a team the size of rangers, so my post was a dig at the folk reading the press, then coming on here saying what the papers r saying, oh y is ally not playing youth, he is, the best young lads up there r getting there chance, and everytime we bring in a new player over the age of 26, it's a case of, aww where's the youngest, let's hound ally!! Geez piece, we want to c the likes of Boyd and miller up there, sells books and tickets, plus they'r both cracking players!! Get aff the youth bandwagon please, it's pathetic, if your good enough your in, end of, naw because your 19 years of age, if your good enough!

ED001 I saw that documentary and thought Hansen came over very well. I must admit to being surprised at the argument that it was really the experienced players who pulled the team through but not being a follower of any team down south I wouldn't argue with that.
However having done a bit of googling in tmwnn's defense there does appear to be times when 6 youngsters appeared in the side at the same time- Giggs, Scholes, Beckham, Gary and Phil Neville and Nicky Butt.
Now probably over the majority of the season there were more experience players than youngsters in the side but as far as I know Man U have never been in Administration or Liquidation.

Our model is not sustainable and youngsters are more affordable but as always it is getting the correct blend of youth and experience but ideally affordable experience.
With a footballing budget of £7million in part time leagues the accounts confirm something nearer Fergie's mix than Ally's mix is the better model for a club who are as completely skint as we are.

Aldo1 have a look at the reply from nbear I rest my case chears nbear my friend

It's persons like deanomac so called supporters that need to shut up and face the facts we're skint and have good enough youth to get us back to where we belong

Tmwnn ok so you suggest we play 6 youth players out of our starting 11?

No ALDO1 he is not because we do not have young players of that quality or at least we don't think we have players of that quality but if Ally never gives them a start even after stating that is what he was going to do last season as soon as the league was won we won't ever know for sure.
Dundee United give young Charie Telfer a 3 year contract but Ally doesn't give him a game but then says "United have signed a gem" Where is the logic in that- your correct there is absolutely no logic in that statement and utterly contradictory action.
If he was a "gem" which some of us who saw him a number of times for Gordon Durie's teams agree with shouldn't he have been given a chance when the league was won?

It's all about opinions but we are all bears at the end of the day. You like Ally as a manager some of us don't but telling fellow bears with a different opinion to shut up is schoolboy bully cr@p. Let's grow up eh?

Nbear In my first post I stated that no team can win titles relying on youth & the reply I got was a smart ar. se comment about how Man United winning the English Premiership with youth which is total nonsense & not even getting into it.

As for YOUR opinion on Charlie Telfer only time will tell how good the boy is but if it came down to money then i'm pretty sure Rangers would have kept him if we really wanted too unless there was an underlying issue with the player & management team.

I also did not claim to like or dislike Ally McCoist as a Manager. i'm happy with the players he has brought in so far & in MY opinion I would like to see another attacking mid-fielder added. tactically last night was all wrong regardless of pitch conditions, We should not be getting beaten 3-1 by an amateur team, BOTTOM LINE! So in my eyes McCoist has an aweful lot to prove this season.

As for the last part of your enlightenment I told no one to shut up but was interested in where Tmwnn was going with it, a discussion between two fellow rangers fans so no need for anyone to grow son

Scott Gallagher in talks with Hearts

Aldo1 I've just got back to this page but where I was going with playing youngsters was they are cheaper but my main point was mccoist is offloading young players in order to get older players in players that have no sell on value and will retire from football once rangers tell them they have no place at ibrox also ally making comments like he WAS a gem after allowing telfer to walk away I and many other supporters would rather have spent time in the lower leagues as apposed to needing a complete first team on our return to the top league

For me its about getting back to Premiership as soon as possible, challanging Celtic & competing in your Europe, Once Rangers are back in the Premiership only then we can start building a team for the league & Europe, in my opinion lower league football ain't pretty & a million miles away from football played on the continent therefore young players that show promise should be bled into Scotland's top division not the lower leagues purely for their benefit at the expense of the Clubs. Rangers need Europe & the old firm to boost revenue. The young players who have been involved the last few years I think show some promise, McLeod, Aird, Crawford even Gallacher at the tail end of last season & I hope to see a few more young players getting a chance this season.

As for young Telfer as I said in my previous post I don't believe its as cut & dry as its made out, I certainly don't believe Dundee United have a better 'pull' on younger players on than Rangers.

The signings of Miller & Boyd are purely 'Horses for courses' experienced players knows and understands what it takes to win titles for Rangers & score goals for Rangers

Aldo so if we win premotion and go back to top league where is the money going to come from to challenge celtic are you one of these people that think the board have got somebody lined up to invest 50 million haha these guys won't invest 50 pence unless its to buy another 50 penny shares its not getting to the top that's tough its staying there

TMWNN of course I'm not. The cash comes from the same pot Celtic have been getting to themselves the past few seasons. The Champions League! That's where we have to be! Not wallowing in the lower leagues waiting on youngsters blossom - This also makes the club far more attractive to young foreign players - who you can then sale on for a profit

Aldo what makes you think we will finish high enough in top league to qualify for europe cause if we reach top league half our squad will be to old and the other other half will be to young with no experience

TMWNN We have second biggest wage budget in the country at our disposal, if we aren't challenging with a budget like that then we there's something far wrong.

Aldo how you can't see that there is something far wrong with how our club is being run at present is really unbelievable c'mon mate

TMWNN Of course there's something far wrong but I just don't agree with how you think the team should be managed in terms of developing youth & signings, that's all. I would never support the current board based on the past 12months. what I will support is the current team. On paper we should win the Championship no problem! regardless of Hibs & Hearts challenging. If McCoist is unable to deliver this season then its maybe time for someone else at the helm.

Aldo1 I will also support the team as its a bug but I will never support the robbers currently milking us dry so I will be supporting the team from the comfort of my armchair
