Walsall have confirmed that Tom Bradshaw has formally handed in a transfer request.

13 Jul 2016 15:07:43
Now I'm not having a go here before any of you think I am.

I don't see us paying any transfer fees of any significance therefore, I feel this one is not going to happen. Hope I am wrong though.

13 Jul 2016 15:56:06
Statement on Walsall's site says.

"Tom has made his desire to leave abundantly clear rejecting any offer of a new contract, which expires in June 2017, stating that he seeks Championship football in order to enhance his International career. "

Could be a sweeping statement but seems he's set on playing in the Championship.

13 Jul 2016 16:35:23
If he's got 1 year left on contract and he's put in a written transfer request, i think walsall would accept around 500,000 for him, if we really want the guy we will get him.

14 Jul 2016 12:39:09
We won't be putting bids in for Bradshaw or anybody else I've said numerous times we clearly don't have money to spend and eds is there a reason why hardly any of my posts ever get on these pages when same peoples are allowed on here day in day out.

14 Jul 2016 13:32:39
We do have money, its cleary going on wages.

14 Jul 2016 14:24:05
We clearly don't have money to bid for players we have missed a trick not getting a proven goalscorer in yet the boy Dodoo could be a good signing but not proven we seem to be going down same route here with getting players in who can play on wing with pace but do not have the proven goalscoring instincts in box which could cost us big time this season.

13 Jul 2016 11:32:51
Now we're trying to sign Joe dodoo out of contract on loan?

13 Jul 2016 12:43:17
he's been offered a new contract by Leicester, so we are doing our best to get in ahead of everyone else for the loan move. he is said to be signing the new contract once the small details are sorted out. he is meant to be a good player so wouldn't be a buy player to get for a year. Maybe more of a permanent move if we play our cards right.

13 Jul 2016 22:16:42
Puzzled by this one! Another apparent young talent from the EPL academy league that will probably offer nothing. A less skillfull Nathan Oduwa anyone? I don't care what club a youngster is at and how highly they rate him. Just at the impact Zelalem made in a threadbare squad playing in a pub league!

14 Jul 2016 02:12:52
I'd take Dodoo in a shot, permanent or loan.

14 Jul 2016 08:31:25
Might offer nothing but everyone should be judged on own merits. zelalem might not have set world alight but think most agree ball did good job and Roberts not bad for them lot and they are EPL graduates granted Roberts come from Fulham. don't need a transfer fee to be decent. Personally hope get dodoo in because there not much to lose financially but plenty to gain.

14 Jul 2016 11:25:50
this man is a whippet and would be the fastest striker in the spl.

14 Jul 2016 12:26:40
Didn't Roberts go to city fir bout £9m?

13 Jul 2016 10:59:16
I was reading there in one of the other sites that fulham's 6'6" striker matt smith is now being linked as a possible signing for us, can't say I've seen enough of him, has any other bear seen or think that matt smith would be a good signing for us?

13 Jul 2016 11:14:24
I've seen that rumour too, mostly and impact sub as far as I know, half of his games in league one have been off of the bench I think.

13 Jul 2016 11:50:58
19 goals in 77 games in the English championship, not the prolific striker we're looking for but then again he could give us different options up front.

13 Jul 2016 11:34:02
He's rotten.

13 Jul 2016 12:17:04
What site was it?

13 Jul 2016 13:39:16
Looks a good player. but doesn't say we are linked with him. should we go for him it says.

13 Jul 2016 22:30:29
Matt Smith shunt touch him with a barge pole played for Leeds 42 games and netted 13 times.

14 Jul 2016 12:44:29
Doctor WHO? :)

13 Jul 2016 09:47:56
Contract talks between Waghorn and Tavernier are still ongoing. Both players looking for an improved offer.

13 Jul 2016 10:33:24
Nothing wrong with that, but what I would say if I was Rangers, prove us your worth more, and we will sit down in January, I. e let's see how they both do in the premiership.

13 Jul 2016 11:28:01
I'm glad MW came out and cleared things up regarding Tav and Waggy. It was a slight increase on what they have and was offered just before they left for pre season. Going by what the manager said both boys love it here and will be happy to extend when the time/ price is right. Some of the reactions to this story (which was a blatant attempt at unsettling both players by the media) has been shocking. MW salary was doubled, these 2 were offered a slight increase, there's a big difference in that.

Also interesting to hear big DJ's view on it. Everyone's saying we should wait and see how the get on on the SPFL before we offer them a huge contract and rightly so. The other side is if they smash it this season like they did last then they will be looking for a substantial increase, again rightly so.

The fact of the matter is let's let the money men and players get on with this stuff and keep our noses out of it, and don't believe everything we read in the media. They will print anything about the Old Firm because it sells papers.

13 Jul 2016 13:19:48
I don't know what they are on, but if waggy is going to be our first choice striker then I think both should get what they want money wise.
If they do well next season they will want even more and their contracts will only have a year left on them by then and we won't make as much as we could.
if we tie them up right now I think both these players will be worth mega bucks, if they did what they did last season!

13 Jul 2016 13:35:55
I would wait and see how they get on. Tav great going forward but suspect in defence against Championship strikers. Waggy is a good hardworking player however lacks a trick and/ or a yard of pace. Also didn't see him playing much as main striker last season. he was always right side so why would Warbs play him CF in premier?

13 Jul 2016 15:42:31
Neither is nowhere near good enough to be worth mega money, tav is a dreadful defender and waggy is useful, nothing more, second touch is always a tackle, maybe they believe they were great last season, fantastic free kicks aside, tav really struggled in an inferior division, and waggy smashed in a good few penalties.
