toure is 35 now is he not I think we need someone like him but with more pace at the back as we play attacking football we need sum1 that can track back!

I thought toure was going to Monaco but he would be another great bit of business by the club if we managed to sign him.

ive not seen him play for a while scotty! I was just assuming that he had slowed down because of his age but it would be a fantastic coup if we could land a layer of his calliber.

Id love him to come to ibrox and he's far from past it the perfect CB for rangers I'd still bring in a younger CB aswell that will do a lot of the running.

This isn't me moaning about the players we are getting in but after Barton and more than likely Niko kranjcar if we got toure I would hope that's the last of the old pros I'd like to see even more young guys in the team after all that's what warbs is all about. Need to be able to have players with sell on value and not live by the same transfer model of previous managers. Just to make clear not moaning about who we have so far!

But that is what we need, older players to help our younger ones, plus crooks, windass and rossiter are all Young with sell on potential, add them to our young squad plus whoever else we sign, I'm really surprised by your post mate.

Surprised by what? I said I was happy with the guys we have and could possibly get. All i said is that if we get NK and KT then I'd rather not have anymore old pros! We would have Waldo Miller Barton kranjcar and toure so wouldn't need anymore old heads.

Need experience through the spine of the team and to help the young 1's. It's exactly what we were missing last season! Finally buzzing for a transfer window after I've been dreading them for about the past 5/ 6 years as its always been about who we r going to lose. Great time to b a bear and I'm buzzing for the new season to start!

Sell on value isn't everything, these experienced players are what we need in the short to medium term and they will rub off on the younger players, it will also attract younger players with sell on value to the club as these players raise the profile of the club outside Scotland.

kolo toure? is this a laugh or what do people just come on here and make stuff up as they go along the guys 35 so i doubt rangers would want somebody it that age on there books plus don't forget massive wages aswell i think, iv checked this up and its sayin nothing aswell about us bein linked with toure more like pie in the sky.

What he's said is spot on though, current philosophy is brilliant, Warbs has brought in absolute quality and hopefully he continues that, but I'd like to keep a young squad and have our academy lads get a chance as well. Latest signings are top players, but don't want to follow old habits of giving big wages to guys who are on their way out.
