Whyte losing his case with Ticketus is not necessarily good news for Rangers. Ticketus want their money. Whyte has none. So they will want his assets. The will want the administration and liquidation looked at very closely to see if they can snatch assets that were cheated from them. Not over by a long, long way.

Believable101 Unbelievable41

Nonsense. They have no rights over newco. Firstly deal was done with oldco, and guaranteed by Whyte personally. Because they want their money does not mean that they can come against newco. It is like your house being repossessed, I buy it from bank, and you try to sue bank, you win the case but because bank has no money, you sue me. It's ludicrous. Whyte has no call over assets of newco at all.

The only truth that Whyte told during this debacle was that he guaranteed the money personally. Hence the reason why they are going after Whyte. Now they won't get it from him, but they will take his assets. Rangers are not his asset. D & P sold the assets to Green.

Agree1 Disagree4

You state the assets were cheated from them. They did not own the assets, so how can they be cheated of assets that never belonged to them.

Agree2 Disagree0

Op if that was the case murray would want assets that where bought by white under false pre tence

Agree2 Disagree0

I very much doubt CW gave a personal guarantee to Ticketus, he knew Rangers would go down, everyone knew.

The real questions for me relate to the deal done by Murray with Whyte and at the time there was a general view that Lloyds Bank / HBOS had forced the sale.

I for one will watch with interest to see whether yet again this rather shady Bank has been up to no good!

Agree0 Disagree0

If the police find out the deal was dodgy from day one, what happens then? Who actually owns rangers? The whole thing is a bloody mess!

Agree1 Disagree0

Lloyds wanted the Rangers portfolio off their books and no further overdraft extensions to any of SDM's businesses would be approved. SDM knew the first hiccup would bring Rangers down and couldn't afford to take the risk. When you have a group of interconnected companies with interconnected debt then it just takes one breach of loan terms to permit a bank to appoint an administrator over all the group.

Agree0 Disagree0

Craig Whyte is nothing to do with rangers fc, he has never invested any money in rfc, the reason he's hitting out with threats to CG is because he knew he would be getting chased for millions and the guy is flat broke, whyte will be bankrupt and signing on the doll soon

everything he deserves

Agree0 Disagree3

Ticketus, Whyte, Green, Banks, etc, no one has a clue who actually owns the assets, title deeds, and until it all becomes clear and the truth from who ever, this uncertainty will drag on for some time. There must be someone with the club at heart who can demand the answer to the above. jimbo.

Agree2 Disagree0

If CW whyte never invested a penny in Rangers why is he getting pursued for the 18 million used to pay of Lloyds?

Agree3 Disagree0

The money he used was from ticketus they bought the rights to season ticket cash not his own cash

Agree0 Disagree0

There simply must be something about that Ticketus story yet to be revealed. I just can't believe they were duped so easily.

Police raids over Rangers purchase on the tv site.

Police have carried out a series of raids relating to the purchase of Rangers Football Club by Craig Whyte from Sir David Murray.

Police Scotland said they had "carried out a number of searches" in at addresses in both Scotland and England.

The statement said: "These searches related to both domestic and business premises.

"This remains an ongoing investigation, and no further information can be provided at this stage".

Green and Whyte - oh the irony.

Agree2 Disagree0

N1 greens name is not mentioned in op

Agree0 Disagree1

Craigy boy will have kept all the details of his dealings with Murray, Duff & Phelps, Earley brothers, Green, et al, on tape, written down or electronically.
All of the above will be wishing they had never heard his name by the time this panto is concluded. Shyster he may well be undoubtedly but he's swimming in a cesspool full of them!

Agree1 Disagree0

Yep, the toffs and spivs have never met a street predator like CW, he will have everything recorded, if he goes down then everyone is going down.

The Scottish Football Association has written to seek clarification over Rangers chief executive Charles Green’s involvement with Craig Whyte.

Former Rangers owner Whyte has claimed that he was behind the Rangers 5088 company set up to transfer assets from Rangers “oldco” last year and that Green and associates were initially working for him when they completed their purchase of assets.

In April last year the Scottish FA handed Whyte a lifetime ban from involvement in Scottish football, in addition to a substantial fine.

Rangers provided the SFA with information on 29 June, a week after the company submitted a letter of application to take the place of Rangers after the £5.5m purchase of the club's assets.
However, the governing body is seeking further details to satisfy its newly introduced fit and proper person report.
"We have asked Rangers to provide further supplementary information and will consider that information this week, " the statement continued.
"Under new Scottish FA rules, it is a requirement of the outgoing club directors to conduct a full investigation under the fit and proper guidelines.
"Given Rangers FC's insolvency event, it has been incumbent on the administrators, Duff and Phelps, to carry out the necessary checks on the proposed new directors, as well as our own investigations. "

So it was actually D&P's responsibility to identify if CW was involved.

This isn't a rumour but a fact. Gowser is moving to rangers in summer. The deal has been agreed for sometime. I still keep in touch with him from when we played together at ayr. He text saying he will be back in scotland for his birthday. after a bit of banter he said he was coming to my heroes and sounded like a deal was already done

See CW lost his battle today with TicketUs and has to pay £18 million +costs. Maybe he will be looking for a pay off from Charles now and just go away. Doubt it.

Believable20 Unbelievable20

No wonder he still claims he owns the assets. if he is proved right he will use those to get the money he needs to pay his debts. worrying times all round.
