VAR will eventually ruin our game and it’ll turn in to an event like NFL where everytime a player hits the deck it’ll be reviewed and contested.
Games and incident will be refereed umpteen times and who’s to say they will reach the correct verdict!
Our game is called the beautiful game as it ebbs and flows, with tackles and tactics! Goal line technology was a great introduction, immediate decision buzzed straight to the refs wrist! No ifs or buts about it!
VAR will be the beginning of a stop start game with lots of injuries ending with 8 men each!

My solution. full time referees! Ex player referees, grassroots referees. Promote refereeing as a career! Give proper training and education with employee benefits (wage, healthcare, the glamour of football etc)

cant think of anyone who would be crazy enough to be a referee, certainly not a job i would want. however i do agree VAR would bring nothing but stop start to a game.

It works perfectly well in rugby but they have professional referees and that's probably the difference.

Not at all. Var can be reserved for goals/ off sides or red cards. It doesn’t have to be used all the time. They used it really well in the under 17s tournament you didn’t even. Price they were using it. And in the cup down in England it runs in the back ground while the game is playing and the ref is contacted if the notice something.
