We are simply not good enough. Our play from middle to front is so laboured and lacking in ideas. The number of loose touches and careless passes was alarming tonight. I know he's young and been thrown in but Middleton needs to come out of the team, he can't just run up and down the wing all night.

It was a really poor performance going forward. Lack of ideas and very little quality deliveries. Have to agree about Middleton looked very ordinary. Grezda is just a waste of a jersey.

Ive said a few times Middletons form would suffer, young players need to be kept fresh.

Poor overall performance tonight, although I thought jack and barsic were okay. Middleton was poor but I wouldn't throw him under the bus just yet! He's only a young lad. Wtf has happened to coulabaly? He was awful (again) . I know Gerrard is a young manager but he took ages to change things tonight.
