What do you all think about the possibility, or otherwise, of a Hybrid pitch being layed in the summer. Will be interesting to hear from those that hate plastc pitches. Think Hearts are doing the same.

Hybrid pitches and plastic are different things.
A plastic pitch is the rubbish we see at Killle, Hamilton and Livingston etc
A hybrid pitch is a mix of real grass and synthetic fibres.
When we install a hybrid pitch you will see a state of the art football pitch that acts and plays like normal grass. All the biggest clubs in the world currently use a hybrid pitch. The days of muddy corner flags and bald 6 yard areas will be gone.

Blue toon not even close to being the same as plastic absolute state of the art surface.

I'm aware that they are completely different and that the hybrid surface is widely used. However the hate plastic contibutors to this site say that grass is the only surface that should be played on. I wanted see what their opinion on Hybrid is.

Spot on 87shenderson! You have to educate people on here from time to time! The hybrid surface is superb to play on and the modern way to go!

Bluetoon it is not a plastic pitch. All the top teams now have hybrid piches.

Scotland’s champions leading the way again lads! Like henderson87 said, all the big clubs have them! If u need to know anything else about how big clubs go about there business Feel free to ask lads Haha!
