To ED 0333, you say we need to give gerrard 18 months to bed his players in, are you having a laugh? A season and a half to learn how to beat Livingston away? We played against a manager who took someone elses team and completely turned them round last season then added his own players and managed to do things with them that we haven't managed for years. We all, on here, want him to do well but I thought we were getting a man that had tactics in his head ready to relay to the players not some kind of experiment that we HOPE does well, a season and a half? Away an bile yer heed.
{Ed0333's Note - so why employ the ‘experiment’ in the first place if you weren’t gonna give him time. I don’t see many world class coaches or in fact many quality coaches with tactical acumen banging your stadium doors down waiting to be hired. Correct me if I’m wrong but the last time you won the title was 7 years ago so your malaise is long term. So get over yourself lose the entitled attitude and appreciate your plight is not an overnight fix. You’ve had a plethora of loan signings which is not conducive to short term success. Maybe the guy isn’t any good at this management thing but surely he needs a little more time.

I agree with you ed. We need to give the manager time to gel players and work out his best formation for all situations. If we keep changing managers every 9-12 months then we will achieve nothing.
{Ed0333's Note - I would have thought it was a common sense and elementary notion but clearly not. Also can you afford to keep paying managers and backroom staff off?

It could take 3 or 4 transfers windows to actually get where we want to be. We are improving but it will take time. Even pep and the squillions of oil dollars didn't bring overnight success. This season is laying the foundations for next season and a more consistent campaign.

Totally with you here ED. Gerrard will prove to be a very good choice as rangers manager IMHO. He most certainly needs at least this season, in his rebuilding process of rangers! Each transfer window, i fully expect gerrard to tweak and improve the first team, bit by bit! He's obtained the nucleus of his squad, with his big turnover, transfer plurge, in the summer there! He'll now add the class bit by bit, as its now quality needed, over quantity now! In stevie G, i most definitely trust! So professional, can handle the pressure of managing us and undoubtedly,
knows what he wants! He's a total winner and icon, through and through! Hope he stays his 4 years with us, as our manager! Knows the game inside out! Give him time to rebuild us!

If Gerrard wants to be successful he needs to stop this rotation nonsense, always play your best 11. He needs a creative midfielder or two. We can't rely on kent cutting in all the time, its very ineffective when teams just sit in tight. We need players that can play two up top as the ball very rarely sticks up top. A RB and a LB that defend first would go a long way to achieving thisðŸ‘.

We've got to, at some point, pick a manager and stick with him, even when the going gets a bit tough. we have to give someone at least 3 transfer windows to put his own stamp on team. It's been a bit of a stutter recently but we have a young manager and newish team, there's been more positives than negatives so far let's give it some time and all pull together.

Totally agree coldo but maybe because of our excellent run in europe ludicrous red cards bad luck with injuries that has prevented SG from playing his best team week in week out. Like you I would much rather play the best team each week. don't know why you got so many disagrees?
