What’s past is past, time to move on and stop talking about the “ press conference “ Lafferty is back and the fans have given him “no “ stick, but if that’s some people views then they are entitled to them, just as I’m Entitled to mine, if Naismith helps Rangers to get back to where they where he’s entitled to a break, just an opinion guys.

SAid it all along I would welcome Naismith back he’s a quality player and would be an excellent addition to the squad. We can’t dwell in the past and yes the interview wasn’t great but I’m a true believer that everybody deserves a second chance.

He is also well past his best. We need much better than him and people are setting the bar very low wanting him back. He has had this day.

arthur the same debates were being talked about kyle laff before he came back and he has and will still do a great job in future, naisy will do a job here maybe not a starter but would do a right good turn let bygons be bygons and welcome the wee man back if he can and will make us a stronger unit and help us stop the puddle drinkers making 9 in a row.

I agree about him being past his best. And big Lafferty was never that great anyway so not really fussed about him tbh.

Queens11

He isn’t good enough and done next to nothing on Sunday. We can get far better than him. He has had his time and won’t be back unless he is an opposing player. Wish people would stop harping on about him he is the past.

Agreed lads, Naismith no longer good enough for what is required, Lafferty is a good squad filler but if we are going shopping from now on then it has to be for better than we have, the squad is big enough IMO.

seeker if it wasnt for big kyle we would have come away with nothing in spain against a good villareal side usaully agree with your posts but disagree here.

Lafferty is a good alternative to morelos, and, in my opinion, is the reason morelos has kicked on. Lafferty has 4 goals since he came in. All good goals and morelos knows he has to perform well to stay in the team. Just like everyone else.

And I'm not discounting gerrards influence btw but I think lafferty has had a big part to play as well.

Yes Ulsterman, the past IS in the past so that, for me, includes naismith. We paid his wages for two years while he was injured and got him the best treatment available only for him to plot a way out in our time of need leaving a sh&te on our doorstep for others to clean up and now he's sorry, I bet he is.

Queens11. Fair enough point about Spain. I just think that he was never that great tbh. I wasn"t a fan the first time and always thought he only decided to knuckle down coming up to contract negotiations time. And the Mulgrew 'head butt' reaction was embarrassing.

Personally speaking folks I would try another route for a striker. Naismith gives his all but we are a club building a future within Scottish football. I want our club to be a force to reckon with again and going back for ex players is not my idea of trying to achieve it. German market for me for a striker and possibly an attacking midfielder in January. Thoughts?

Now that the club is in a better place we should be setting the bar higher than Naismith. I've no time for him I'll admit but I think there are better players out there than him that would walk to Ibrox to play for SG.
