Evening everyone first post on here but have enjoyed some of the things posted up to now.
I just really wanted to say well done to Steven Gerrard and the Rangers team tonight thought we played underneath our best and still came away with a draw against a decent team rollercoster as usual came away cheekily thinking we could have won but would have taken that before kickoff every day of the week. Just wondered what everyone s thoughts are on Glenn Middleton. Is keeping him on the bench as impact sub best when he could possibly be on to affect the game from the start. Or is it best to bring him on when the games are breaking up and he may have most joy?

Using him the way we are is the best idea, he comes on against tiring legs and stretched defences and pulls them apart, boosting his confidence while not having to worry about holding down a permanent place when he's not quite ready for that (although he soon will be) . Right now if you started him he'd invariably need to be substituted as he tires, and that's tough at his stage of development as it could sow seeds of doubt in his mind. We're doing it right and pretty soon he'll be a regular pick, no need to fret.

I believe Gerrard is nurturing him perfectly with his cameo roles with the first team.
He also believes he has aspects of his game he needs to work on. He’s far from the finished product but is a very exciting prospect.
