i don’t quite understand all the furore over tav the lads a great footballer and excellent t going forward but had always been very suspect defensively so convert him
to a midfielder or winger
plenty players change position in their careers - gareth bale started at LB and there are plenty other examples
tav wld always be in my team as he is good on the ball has a great engine and his crossing is very good and he’s proven he can finish
so move him up the park.

If he plays I'd move him to the half way line when we are defending corners freekicks etc.

Flanagan is a decent player I just wish we had a right back that can do two jobs superbly in defending and attacking
Flanagan is a better defender that Tavs whereas Tavs is better getting up the park!
Still think if we get another solid centre back then we can possibly play the 3-5-2 formation
You have to remember Flanagan was pitted as a centre back and that he aint.

If Tav could defend as well as he can attack he wouldn’t be playing for us the past few seasons, it’s as simple as that.

Tav's crossing is c**p mostly overhit, maybe 1 in 4 go in the middle.
