personally I can't see SG taking the job to be hamstrung by a paltry budget. By that I mean £5 To £10 million. He will know exactly what he has at his disposal and obviously will have to use it wisely.
Whether Skrtel was approached or not i'd be horrified if we spent £5 million and upward of £45,000 a week on a 34 year old entering his last year his contract. Am I disappointed? yes but we can get players of similar quality for less.
However if there is not a decent budget then I honestly think SG may have made a mistake.
Personally I think it's the former and we will find out in the coming weeks. ðŸ‘
