I remain unconvinced by the comments that Murty has been hung out to dry.

1. He wanted the job and made no secret of that. So he was given a chance - and rightly so considering the potential applicants or lack thereof.

2. His record was poor. To state last week that he felt he was a candidate for the job permanently, smacked of dillusional nonsense.

3. He was appointed until the end of the season only. His tenure was up and it was an inevitable conclusion, in light of two heavy defeats, that his tenure was over!

4. King had a fiduciary responsibility to assure stakeholders that the club was intent on bringing in a manager. Murty should have known that. Talk of being hurt at such communication, or thrown under the bus is nonsense. If Murty thought otherwise he had dillusions of grandeur.

So now the Board must push the SG issue over the finishing line and an appearance at the weekend would go a long way to reinstating a degree of hope.

Can’t argue with any of that post. Murty wanted the job was given the chance and wasn’t up to it

Great post. As for Rodgers comments. Would love to see the reaction of that mob if they had lost 9 goals in 2 games against us and hadn’t beaten us in around 10 games. Maybe he would “get thrown to the garbage”. Every man and their dog linked to them has had their say about us lately.

Yet just three weeks ago people wanted him to become permanent manager 😂 he record was terrible far worse than even Pedro I was sick of him months ago all this he speaks well rubbish he was always angling along the poor poor me mr nice guy side to get people onside by feeling sorry for him.

Spot on - however most of the press have used the news as another excuse to kick rangers . Can’t believe talksport give that Brazil any airtime. Gerrard managing in Scottish football would be a huge shot in the arm unless your a Timothy

"Hi Graeme, come in, take a seat. Drink? No, quite right. as you will know, we’re in a bind, with McInness being so rude. Anyway, we thought that you might like to try your hand again, having done so well last time! We have every confidence in you, and you know we have your back.

“Thanks, you know I love the club! I’ll do my best, David! "

“Thats Mr King, to you. "
