Im reading the posts regarding our next manager. My question is how many people trust the board to make the correct appointment. They chose Warburton then waisted a heavy investment with Pedro and his players. Then there was the embarrassing scenario with McInnis. Please get it right and invest the fans hard earned money wisely.

Yes I agree the board have made one mistake after another regarding managers but surely now Mark Allan will have a big input in who comes in as he will have to work with him

Thinkaboutit, how many managers would want to work with a director of football? Its only my ppinion but i think Mark Allen is a waste of a wage and is simply not required at Ibrox.

I agree with Goalie. If you appoint the right manager why do you need a director of football. If you are Chelsea or Man City with 50 players out on loan, image rights for club and player, sponsorships etc then you can make a case, but Rangers can't even get a shirt sponser or a structured scouting team so what is Allens role? Identify players and contracts? How can he identify anyone with 1 or 2 part time scouts? The reason the players coming in flop time after time is because the manager is telling Allen who he wants and Allen does the contract but that's not how a DOF works. The managers are going back for players they worked with before then the manager gets the sack and the new manager goes through the same process again. Look at Pedro. A good DOF should prevent that. Rangers miles away from building a stable club and that's down to King.

Hey Johnny- I might be wrong, but didn't Allen join after Pedro had splashed the cash in the transfer window? I'm personally withholding judgment on DOF until he has a full summer transfer window under his belt. I don't really have much of a bad opinion on this other than them letting Danny Wilson go when i thought he was really starting to hit some form.

Good post Johnnymac. Interesting last comment about King. This will ruffle a few feathers but i believe King is ready to step down. Rumours have it that the rest of the board don't see eye to eye with him, Barry Scott and Alistair Johnson included.

In my opinion mark allen will have a big say on who should be the permanent rangers manager, beyond this season and rightly so! He has a very good working relationship with our current manager graeme murty and this is why graeme murty WILL be the next permanent rangers manager, beyond this season! For the record, like most of my fellow bears on here will know, i truly believe that murty is the correct choice to continue as our manager, after this season! Imo i think given time and another couple of transfer windows, murty and allen will prove this is the correct choice taking glasgow rangers forward! I said repeatedly on here that the current situation reminds me so much, of when celtic put neil lennon in temporary charge of celtic once they sacked tony mowbray, and then gave him the permanent job, at the end of that season! Look how that turned out as lennon went on to become a very good celtic manager! Incidentally he had some dodgy results, just like murty has had, while he was in temporary charge! I truly believe murty will mirror what lennon did and go on to become a good rangers manager! that's my honest opinion fellow bears!

So we should keep murty because he's pals with Allen? let's not dismiss some of the results as just one of those things. We've been playing poorly at home for the majority of murtys time as manager. I think we see why martin couldn't get a game at Norwich. Goss's form has dipped babdly. There's a reason we got thouse 2 on loan. We can't keep murty on a slim chance he might work out.

Blueberry think and read people's posts properly before coming away with statements like, "we should keep murty because he's mark allen's pal"! Nobody and most certainly not me is insinuating that! Read the full post properly!

What exactly has murty done since taking over from Pedro that makes you think he should stay manager? Our performance's have improved since Pedro but surely that's the ver least you should expect after a new manager takes over. Defensively we haven't improved. Our performances at home? Nope. But he has a good working relationship with Allen says coop. And that's a good enough reason for him to stay as manager.
