Yesterdays performance was great but we really need to put games to bed long before 88mins. We controlled the game and Hearts did not pose much threat when they had the ball, but with 30mins to go you could feel the crowd getting nervous. One thing I noticed about the crowd was lots of negativity, get off the players backs and support them. we need to instill confidence in our players and we will not do this by slating them. We have the makings of a great side and I would love to see this team start next season together at Ibrox.

I am hoping Murty gives Doherty the job of getting in Brown's face for 90mins on the 11th, the boy looks like being a steal and I get the impression if you give him a job to do he will stick to it and not let Murty down.

One last thing, get Murty signed up for next season now, don't wait until the end of the season because clubs down south will be sniffing about if he continues to develop this team the way he has. He has worked wonders and it is clear as day that the players respect him. Get a two year contract in front of him now and watch us win the league next year.

BazzaBear, i'm in FULL agreement with your post mate! I sit in the copland stand and have done for 40 years now and everyone around me, obviously including myself, thought greg docherty had a superb game, against hearts on saturday, as did the majority of our team! This young midfielder has everything required in his locker, to go on to play at the highest level, imho! He has a terrific engine, very strong and powerful, can pass the ball and covers every blade of grass! A pure box to box central midfielder! I echo your statement by instructing docherty to be all over scott brown, like a rash! I honestly think, without being biased here, that young docherty is very capable of over running brown! He's a supremely fit lad! I've also said on here many, many times, to give graeme murty, the rangers permanent manager's job NOW! He's doing a very good job and in every way, certainly impressed me, greatly! Your correct by saying that some clubs in england are casting an eye to how well murty has started, as rangers manager! There was a report last week, in one of the london newspapers, that murty's old club reading, where he played for many years, were close to sacking their current manager jaap stam and murty was rumoured to be the manager their board wanted, to be the new reading manager! He's very highly thought of at reading football club!

Supercooper

When it comes to newspapers all that’s you can really believe is the date on them.

Even with the affiliation that Murty has with Reading, I think its very hard to see him leaving us to go to there.

I agree with you ArthurD, regarding you can't always take as gospel, anything that's written in newspapers mate! I'm only sharing with all on here what the paper did report, last week! that's all i was doing mate!

Fair enough coop but think Murty comes across as a very decent guy and doesn’t strike me as a guy who will leave Rangers anytime soon.

The praise for Murty is merited and he's showing a bit of mettle in not giving Miller a free pass back into the starting 11. Needs to do the same with Wallace. We'll see how good he is from results till the end of the season but someone deserves a lot of credit for the January signings. We're a much better team and if it is down to Mark Allan, then full credit to him.

Good performance and got the result that was needed. What impressed me was energy levels and Goss, doc, tav, John, windass just to name a few seem really fit. Murty doing a great job. Get him signed up ASAP. Can't help but think where would be if Murty had all season. We are on the right path and with the right men in Murty and allen.

JJKgers, totally agree that the players look a lot fitter. I think the general fitness levels have increased greatly since Pedro’s departure which in turn is creating energy throughout the team - credit to Murty and his staff for making these improvements. Not saying Pedro had the boys on the kebab diet but for me there’s a marked improvement in fitness.

I wonder if Kevin Thomson having a go at cummings and holt has gave some players a kick up backside? Happy work environment prob means players happy to stay and train longer. Whereas under Pedro prob just left ASAP after training. I might be wrong but players definetlty look a lot fitter. Nicholl won't accept any pish either.

The boy goss looks a player. If only we could get him signed up for next season but qpr don't look like they will sell. Pity.

Fellow Bears ---- just watched our managers Presser --- I don't think I can ever recall any manager lately been so impressive in manner, attitude and so "in charge" of the whole interview.
It may be early days to back him beyond this season as our permanent manager but, in tandem with Mark Allen, I think next season we could be up there challenging again for that top spot.
