Looks as if Windass was giving the 'shhh' to the Gers support tonight after he scored.
And I agree with him! A goal and an assist from him tonight. Can't beleige how quickly our fans turn on our players. I even saw somebody post on this forum saying Fraserburgh was his level after the Hibs game. Absolute joke of a comment.
Criticism is warrented, absolutely agree with constructive criticism, but being disredpful about our own players is not on. Get behind the team win, lose or draw.

Totally agree with regards to windy. He is young and will only get better into double figures now with 6 assists.
With young players their main fault in being inconsistent but he still pops up with important goals even when he is not on his game.
How much do those supporters that slate him think it would cost to replace him for another midfielder that gets into double figures scoring wise.
Get behind the lad start singing his name at games and watch him flourish and get better

Totally agree we are too quick to write our players off, on the other hand a couple of good results and some have us winning the league! It's important to remain calm and not get worked up into a media driven frenzy. Windass would be a standout for any team outside the old firm and given that we only paid 100k or so he's been a good signing. We are still short in forward areas but when everyone's fit and certainly next season if he's still about I can see him being a good impact sub. There's also been criticism of Bates recently which I find extremely harsh. He's never going to be a great ball player but thinking back to our best defenders over the years not many of them were great with the ball, as long as the boy can defend surely that's the most important thing! New deals for both.

I haven’t been one to criticise JW as he has been a decent signing for the nominal fee that we paid for him! He has improved a lot since arriving and I do see potential in the guy however if he thinks that gesturing to the fans after a goal against PT after a largely anonymous game against Hibs then he is sadly mistaken. I still have no issue with him as I am not that thin skinned however I do think Windass should do his talking on the Park, he will blow hot and cold as he has always done and our overall squad isn’t good enough to have passengers in games, they same rules apply for everyone!
