Im going to split decision here, if we are getting offered 7+ million for morales we should be taking it, i watch him week in week out and know he could be a great talent already showing signs of it but can we really afford to knock it back, china is awash with over inflated money probably in the world and we do have players that could back cummings up, we would miss him but come on guys especially if it's turning el buffalos head, if it's done now we might even be able to bring in another striker.

Agree5 Disagree7

I think it is all credit to the board for rejecting this offer. I'm sure £7 million would have been very welcome but for me it shows ambition to hold on to a key goalscorer.

30 Jan 2018 08:46:13
Surprised the bid was turned down as we aren’t really in a position to knock that kind of money back. £7m is a lot of money for a striker who misses a lot of chances

30 Jan 2018 09:07:39
So much for him not being worth £2m eh! If Allen, Murty, and the board think they can get more for him in the future then I trust their decision. I'd rather he continued scoring goals for us, at least till the end of season.

30 Jan 2018 09:16:32
If true should knock back the offer. At end of season will be valued at £12m although even then I would prefer he remains for a second season. If he wants to go though then £12m at end of season with sell on clause would e good piece of business. Likely full Columbian internationally also by then.

30 Jan 2018 09:40:50
I think this is more single fish from the rags! We survive on soft loans there is no way we would reject nearly £7m for Morelos. I'm going to divide opinion and say we would accept half of that👍

30 Jan 2018 09:47:59
I believe the only reason we would reject this bid would be the expectation of a higher offer coming in. I’ll be shocked and disappointed if we start knocking back offers such as this one. Collectively the DOF and Management team have shown real promise with the players they added and I’m sure they already have a number of players scouted and ready to sign once Morelos leaves.

30 Jan 2018 10:30:32
Apparently that club already have their full quota of foreign players. Fake news?

30 Jan 2018 10:54:27
It was so obvious it was fake news unless you still believe in Santa Claus😂😂

30 Jan 2018 11:31:19
It's got wee Barry to red bull for 6 million wrote all over it. I wonder what the press in Scotland really get paid for.

30 Jan 2018 13:41:08
Given that Murty has said the Chinese interest is real, perhaps Santa is real too and he will punish naughty little boys like you for their cheek calvin55!😂

30 Jan 2018 14:17:21
Santa Claus being real sounds more plausible than Calvin55 not being from the dark side.

Seriously to create a profile on here and pass comment after comment impersonating a bear must be the saddest thing I’ve seen in a while.

In some way it’s flattering that you care so much however I think it’s a worry for you personally.

If I’m wrong I’ll hold my hands up but it’s ripping out you bud, you are a Rangers fan trapped inside a Celtic supporters body!

Glad to have you along anyway but please speak to someone soon!

🙏

30 Jan 2018 14:27:54
I'm not disputing there is interest in Morelos I'm sure there is however what I am disputing is that we KO'd a £7m bid for him! because we didnae! And anyone who thinks otherwise or there is a bigger bid coming in or we'll get £12m for him in the summer will merit a swift kick tae the baws aff Santa😆

30 Jan 2018 15:13:17
Wee Bear you come to that assumption because I don't believe everything I read in the tabloids? If you believe we KO'd a £7m bid for one of our players then I think it's you that needs to speak to someone urgently bud👍

30 Jan 2018 15:25:28
Another thing wee bear you question where my loyalties lie but surely a genuine Rangers supporter who follows the club would know that Tavenier is ineligible for tomorrow nights game but yet you name him in your starting 11? I have my own doubts about people's loyalties who come on here and spew single fish lol

30 Jan 2018 15:33:55
You can't categorically state we did not turn down a £7m bid because like the rest of us on here don't know. By all means express an opinion but please don't present said opinion as fact.

30 Jan 2018 15:45:20
Only a game it is fact mate👍

30 Jan 2018 16:15:41
It's not a fact it's an opinion. I'm pretty sure you do understand the difference.

30 Jan 2018 16:21:39
Didn't realise you were a board member calvin55, since they're the only ones that know the facts. Perhaps you could us the real value that was offered, or enlighten us as to any other targets we might be interested in? It would save us a lot of bickering to have someone with your knowledge of what's actually going on behind closed doors.

30 Jan 2018 16:59:45
Wow this is painful! Yes of course I understand the difference between fact and opinion and no of course I'm not a board member but commonsense tells you we didn't knock back a £7m bid so instead of maikng stupid childish comments try talking some sense! Out of curiousity what makes yous believe we knocked back a £7m bid? Is it because we rely on soft loans to make ends meet that we can afford to reject such a bid? I just want to know where your logic comes from?

30 Jan 2018 17:22:43
Calvin55 r u saying the manager is a liar. Also the 7million will unlikely b paid up front.
Other clubs knock back early bids to push up price.

30 Jan 2018 17:29:41
None of us are saying categorically what was bid just that you don't know otherwise. Living off soft loans is a temporary thing which will be solved by a fresh share issue, so there no need to accept the first offers we receive. It's impossible to determine a players true value these days because of the enormous amounts of money being wasted by the Chinese and EPL teams. He is 21 yrs old and top scorer in the league. If he is still top scorer at the end of season he has every chance of making the Columbia squad and no reason why we won't get a ludicrous offer. Bear in mind he's out scoring Griffiths a supposed £10m player!

30 Jan 2018 17:31:02
I personally struggle to believe that we would have knocked back £7m for any of our players, it doesn't mean that we didn't.

30 Jan 2018 18:21:03
If the manager said we ko'd a £7m bid then yes he is a liar!

30 Jan 2018 18:52:15
Calvin55 your needing to calm down you don’t know how much was bid like the rest of us so stop saying it’s not that amount as you don’t know the real facts and I don’t think your know the difference from opinion and fact as your still going on saying we didn’t knock that amount back yes that’s your opinion like the rest on here so stop saying it as if it’s a fact you know as you don’t

30 Jan 2018 21:55:04
Gersman I'm not saying that a bid was not made or how much it was all I'm saying is we did not turn down a bid of £7m which is being quoted in the media that's all read my posts!
