After seeing score come up today i called my 71 year old Dad who was standing in the cold waiting to get into the Subway. I only mention this to show how much our club means to so many people and all they want is to see a team worthy of the name, which we haven't had for too long now.
I believe the real problem is at the top of the club, Mr King. His lack of leadership is best summed up with his inability to take responsibility for the last two management appointments. Am sure you will remember his statement about how the board did the interviews and he let them choose, no real leader would not want to be party to this decision. Now is his time to show if he is in it to win or not?
I would like to give my view on what could work if Mr King gave it a chance. I know that is ironic giving my view above but am sure it would be suggested just saying what is wrong would have been challenged by others. This is my proposal for going forward, follow David Holmes lead and get a figure head boss.
I would go for Big Sam and as with the 1986 appointments i would get him someone with current knowledge of the Scottish game to work beside him. My choices would be No.2 Tommy Wright and No.3 Austin McPhee.
I would then hope Mr King would be the man to introduce them all and state, "These men are here for the next few years its all about building a club worthy of the name. We will not be buying anyone this window but instead give every signed player on our books until May to prove their worth. We will then back our new Manager in the summer window to have a team ready for the new season, when we will be going for title 55"
Now i know that all the above is unlikely but its what i would liked to see Mr King do to prove he really has the clubs best interest at heart? Please spare me any of the "Mr King etc saved us from the previous regime" my problem with all that is why didn't he do it before Whyte or Green got hold of the club? Show how much the club means to you Sir, show the 71 year old fans like my Dad standing in the cold November air its worth it and the men at the top do really want the same as them, "RFC back where it once was! ".

I totally agree. Big Sam is an expert in relegation fights so he's spot on for your lot.

Totally agree i was one of thousands who left today after 2nd goal. Performance simply not acceptable. We seem to just accept defeat now. I genuinely think king and board have not got a clue who to appoint even after 3 weeks. I think they thought murty till end season until today. Big sam ticks all the boxes from day 1. A hard man is needed. Afraid i am not sure we can afford him or the budget he would be looking for

Great post we should push the boat out and go for someone like Big Sam instead of going for a risky appointment people saying we can’t afford him how do you know this and the money they pay for a risky appointment them have to pay him off if it doesn’t work could pay for a top manager look what Celtic did pushed the boat out for Brendan and look what he’s done for them transformed them without splashing mega amounts of money

You’ve made quite a few points there but I’ve got to add that king and co did try to gain ownership of the club before but didn’t succeed due to previous share holders voting in the previous board

Would also point out that the club were denied the chance for fresh investment due to McCoist not bothering to vote at the last AGM

what right do we have to be top dogs we let to many people lead us up the garden path and not have a long term plan and we must think
about the 90 year old man that has stood at ibrox and never seen his team win there and he has folowed hamilton all his days he has
as much right to see his team be succseful
