For me, being realistic, the man for the job is Derek Mcinnes.

However, unrealistic or unlikely, for me would be Big Sam or Davie Moyes.

Before folk shoot me down about Moyes, yes he played for them, but he was brought up a Rangers fan and he's the type of presence I feel would bring the fear factor back to the club.

The fear factor at Old Trafford disappeared under Moyes and he inherited a very good squad. Not for me.

As i said elsewhere,

Don't understand the clamour for McInnes

Has never managed a big club, has never proved himself under pressure. let's not forget that at Aberdeen he has had it fairly easy since being there.

Apart from the Dhims he has not had much else to beat.
4 of the top six scottish teams were not in the SPL for periods. Us Hearts hibs and D United. He couldn't have failed to be 2nd under the circumstances.

Average at best imo.

Fair point mate, though I do think there were many factors to Manchester United's downfall, mainly due to the fact Sir Alex left.

Hence why there is still no real fear factor at Old Trafford, despite big name managers taking the reigns since Moyes.

Remember Rodgers was not a particularly 'successful' manager in terms of honours, but he has experience at the highest level and it's done Celtic absolute wonders.

Fergie left Man Utd knowing that he had an ageing team that needed a big overhaul. It wasn’t a season of change required and it was a huge ask for any manager to follow in his foot steps. I think Moyes would be a great appointment alongside big Duncan Ferguson as his assistant 👍🏼
Looks likely that board will make McInnes no1 target and I believe this is Walters preference and he will be consulted.
My personal choice would be Monk

Moyes was left a terrible Utd squad

pedro was left a terrible squad too

Which Pedro made even worse than what it was! How the hell was that even poosible? Can I just clarify something geesadodothat? Are you trying to rationalize Pedro's position?

David moyes no way, allardyce no way, mcinnes no way. Billy reid who the eff is he. We need a real manager big eck, tommy wright, watty smith, greame souness. But we will know when the board appoint someone and hope they are a big name and are proven winners.

I don't want Moyes but to be fair, anyone was going to struggle with that gig after Sir Alex left.
