I have been to every game this season and I am always someone who gives the benefit of the doubt but having watched Ryan Jacks performances this season I have come to the conclusion that he is a massive issue for our team. I know that most will disagree with this but if you analyse the way we play with him in the team he plays far too deep. This is inviting opposition midfield to push on and pressurise our suspect defence. At first I thought the issue lay with Pedro asking Jack to stay as deep but from watching Jack play it is clear he wants to retreat all all costs. Rossiter would be a brilliant replacement but just can't stay fit. At least Rossiter pressurises the opposition and is touch tight. I would even play Holt ahead of Jack as he has much more energy.

I said the same thing think the balance of the team looked much better with holt in there. can't understand why if it was are best performance of the season last week why you would not stick with the exact same team why change anyone or anything.

jack has been very poor. but in all honesty most of the signings have been very very poor. our formations are all very very poor. a form of 352 should be adopted. but i really feel this is getting close to the end for us now. its only going to get worse. supporters will start to depart over the next few years and the realistic future is dire.

Unfortunately we cannot depend on Rossiter ever being a regular in our first team. I would be very happy to be wrong, the guy has huge potential.
For me Dorrans had his best game against St Johnstone wether it was coincidence that was when Jack was missing is open to debate but I believe it to be the case.
Holt, Dorrans and Pena looked good that game and I'd like to see them play together in the midfield again.

Jack is just an average player and is symptomatic of where we are just now that he gets a game in our midfield. Very limited player who isn’t what’s needed if we are to move forward. Always feel any Scottish player playing in central midfield for us should be in the Scotland squad. However he will never be anywhere near it

I would be in support of moving jack to left back and deploying young john further up the park and dropping Windass having Holt and dorrans in the middle and playing Ryan Hardie running off Morelos instead of pena but we must keep the ball on the ground.
