I'm pretty sure that the majority of us can see that this Team is getting better. We have the Squad that can give the Tic a game especially if we play basically a 4-5-1.
Celtic have Players who are at a certain level and whether this game was at the Methadome or Ibrox, Brenda will have 5 in midfield albeit an Attacking midfield and we should do the exact same! I do not think we should go with 2 CDM's in Jack and Rossiter, in a 4-2-3-1 BUT I would rather that than a 4-4-2 against that lot!
So the Team that ended the Dundee Game OR a 4-1-4-1 with Jack in front of back 4 and Dorrans and Pena in the middle of the midfield, but we cannot go 4-4-2 we will get over run in midfield.

I think its got to be Rossiter instead of Pena for this 1 Andy. Penas still trying to find his feet albeit he's showing signs of improvement but i think this has came abit early for him. we should maybe give him the last 20mins when we're 4 up😜. (only kidding rayman99 and bham before uz have a meltdown)

IMO it has to be 4-5-1 with a lot of work from the midfield.

Rossiter Jack
Candeais Dorrans Windass
Morelos
This gives is a lot of power from midfield compared to previous games and options from the bench. However we are going to need the mids supporting up top.
Would like to see Pena and Miller later if we need a goal.

Can't disagree with your team either bluegenius! We have to flood the midfield against them on the 23rd! Although this team suggests 2 defensive mids, in jack and rossiter, it can effectively become a five when needed! Good selection bluegenius!

That's the team I'd go with also. The 2 holding can provide cover for full backs when they go, however, i'd expect a more disciplined role for full backs. They need to be clever when to go and when not as they obv have pace down both sides.

I thought about Miller on the left for more penetration and if Candeias is crossing from right he could hopefully ghost in at back post. Also he is usually good for a goal against them.
Just not sure he could provide cover defensively.
I also agree that our full backs need to be disciplined in when they break out.

I think Windass has got to start on the left, he brings qualities to the team which nobody else has. we've got to give them something to think abt and not stand off them and be pedestrian

Cant really argue with that selection. Do prefer a 4-1-4-1 though. Think the 2 defensive mids leaves us sitting too deep. Moving fwd into the season i'm hoping to see the exact team you've stated but losing one of the defensive mids, rossiter, and putting pena (if he comes good) in beside dorrans/ behind morelos. Will be a tough game but if we play well they'll know they've been in a game. El Buffalo 1st to score!

i think the back four will be the ususal ;tav cardosso alves wlado,
middle will be imo jack dorrans sitting windass and candias wide and miller and morelos up front.
miller is generally good for a goal against that lot and like you said pena isn't quite ready to tackle his first old firm or i'd have played pena just behind morelos

Guys, why are we all picking the team to face Celtic. 2 very important games before then and if not won then we will be within touching distance of writing the season off. Focus on tonight's game, anything other than a convincing performance and victory will be extremely disappointing. The Celtic game will look after itself.
