The way the modern game is played you need your full backs to bomb up the park. Yes it leaves you vulnerable to a counter but it pins the other teams wingers and full backs in. Don't understand why people can't grasp this concept and constantly slate Wallace and Tav for getting up the park. The best full backs in the world are all attack minded, Dani Alves, Kyle Walker, David Alaba, need I continue?

Totally agree those are the best full backs in the world but when u look at the teams they play for and the quality round them that's the difference. I watched rangers get to the UEFA cup final by simply defending first then counter attack (not the best style of play) but was affective and worked. Basically I'm just making my opinion on the full backs as I watch them week in week out and pay my hard earned cash to do so. Basically Walter smith made his team hard to beat where as the last few managers at rangers haven't and we all know how that ends up. I like Pedro he has obv realised the cb were poor and we now have 2 better cb but the young lad of hibs with pace up front made the 2 cb look total average today. Smith would have had a Kevin Thompson type player on him from the go like when celtic had Robbie Keane he just got done from the start. Too many unfit players ATM as well

No surrender

The 3 goals conceded were defensive errors we need 2 full backs as tab and hodson not up to the job imo

No use complaining guys and welcome to real Scottish football Pedro. Jack was unlucky to be sent off but the fixture was combustible and we all knew that and the players should certainly have known that and been prepared accordingly. Too many on hear were getting carried away Dubfermaline game. Anyway back to reality now, hopefully Pedro and players have learnt painfull lesson and be the better for it.

Wallace and Tavernier do have their moments when joining in the attacks, but their first duty must surely be defending and both are guilty of continually being caught up field on counter attacks, and not being in the correct position to prevent crosses into our box, that we still seem to have trouble with and clearing

On the contrary, maybe they're told to attack ( 1 at a time obviously ) and then the defensive midfielder (jack or rossiter ) is told to to drop back and cover the defence.

It's a pretty common tactic tbh and one that the likes of makalele, petit, cambiasso, simeone and the likes made a living off of.

A role in made my very own at the dizzy height of the amateur game might I add
