rossiter is frequently discussed in this forum. And I admire that so many are right behind him. But personally, he is a walking bomb scare. He has no track record, and being so young and injury prone can damage us, if he eventually breaks into team. I say get him out on loan this year, clear wage and let him build game time. Let Pena, jack, dorrans, niko fight this year .
. and ditch windass

Have u ever watched the boy? he demands the ball, yes he's not flashy but he keeps it moving and always drops into space to receive it again! He and Jack are the only two sitting midfielders we have so to send him on loan is a nonsense barring injury he will be a top player

Gotta ask if anyone knows why Liverpool let a youth international go. Did they know his fitness would always be an issue?

Liverpool didn't "let him go" they offered him a new contract, he turned it down. Simple

Would "letting him go" not equate to not matching his contract demands?

No.

He was offered an improved contract at Liverpool that's why we paid compensation to sign him. He was very highly rated there

I liked his honesty during the interview after the european debacle. I really hope he suceeds with us. For me though Liverpool have the money to keep players if they rate them that highly. Just an opinion

Commonsense - I believe the issue was more around game time than money. The lad needed to be playing regular footie and we offered it to him. Sadly he went and broke himself captaining the England U19's. I'm fairly certain he would have been shipped out to league 1 on loan for a couple of seasons with Liverpool. And he wouldn't have won any trophies there either ;-)
